It is known that sodium nitrite and dimethylamine are toxic compounds, which may react to form dimethyl-nitrosamine in the gastro-intestinal tract, a much more toxic compound and a powerful cancerogen. The aim of the present work is the investigation of toxicity in young rats, caused by daily intake of sodium nitrite, administered together with dimethylamine during 30 days. The indicators examined were: histopathological analysis of the liver and kidney, transaminase in blood serum, variations in body weight and relation of weight liver/body weight. The method of analysis used to determine transaminase was that reported by REINTMAN and FRANKEL in 1957. The statistical method employed was the test of multiple comparisons based on the total ranges of CRUSKAL-WALLIS. The results show that either significant differences were found (α = 0,05) among the groups (including the control), nor was necrosis observed or forming of tumors in the organs under investigation. Therefore, the dosis administered does not seem to be toxic under the conditions of the experiment. Some signs of toxicity found in the group which was more severely treated (10 mg of sodium nitrite and 20 mg of dimethylamine) appeared only in a few animals and it is necessary to verify the same in experiments with more animals and over a longer period of treatment. 相似文献

1. The pharmacokinetics of methyldopa after oral and intravenous administration was studied in hypertensive and normotensive patients. After intravenous administration methyldopa plasma concentrations decayed according to a two-compartment open model. 2. For intravenous administration the overall elimination constant Ke1 was 0.56 +/- 0.03 h-1, the volume of distribution of the central compartment 0.29 +/- 0.80 1 kg-1 and the plasma clearance rate 11.2 +/- 0.6 1 h-1. 3. Plasma half-times during the beta-phase of the methyldopa plasma decay curve following intravenous and oral administration were 2.8 +/- 1.3 and 2.1 +/- 0.7 h, respectively. 4. Previous theoretical procedures for determining the slope and intercept of the stiffness-stress relationship of the passive myocardium from diastolic pressure-volume (P-V) data assume that the eccentricity of the left ventricle (LV) is invariant. In this study a mathematical model for an ellipsoidal membrane was developed that does not contain that constraint. The model predicts a small (less than 10%) but significant decrease in eccentricity as transmural pressure increases. This result was confirmed by the use of a thick-wall finite element model. The implications of this result are as follows. 1) The slope and intercept of the stiffness-stress relationship of unconstrained ellipsodial shells can be determined by fitting a spherical model to the P-V relationships exhibited by the shells. 2) An ellipsoidal model that assumes that the eccentricity of such shells is invariant for all pressures would predict erroneous intercepts. 3) If the eccentricity of the diastolic LV initially decreases relative to its value at zero transmural pressure, then a thick-wall spherical model may be adequate for determining the slope and intercept of the myocardial stiffness-stress relationship. 相似文献

The error in irradiance measured with Sun-calibrated multichannel radiometers may be large when the solar zenith angle (SZA) increases. This could be particularly detrimental in radiometers installed at mid and high latitudes, where SZAs at noon are larger than 50 degrees during part of the year. When a multiregressive methodology, including the total ozone column and SZA, was applied in the calculation of the calibration constant, an important improvement was observed. By combining two different equations, an improvement was obtained at almost all the SZAs in the calibration. An independent test that compared the irradiance of a multichannel instrument and a spectroradiometer installed in Ushuaia, Argentina, was used to confirm the results. 相似文献

A gas-chromatographic method was used for the study in man of the kinetics of perphenazine (PPZ) and its sulphoxide metabolite (PPZ-SO). Various forms of PPZ administration were applied in eighteen schizophrenic patients and four healthy volunteers. Following an i.v. dose of 5 or 6 mg a considerable fluctuation in the plasma concentration was noted before the exponential elimination phase. The average terminal half-life of PPZ was approximately 9.5 hours. PPZ-SO showed up quickly but in low concentrations. After an oral dose of 6 mg no PPZ was detected in plasma and PPZ-SO only as traces. During continuous oral medication, 12 mg three times daily, a low systemic availability and a high PPZ-SO/PPZ ratio was found suggesting a marked first pass effect. PPZ-enanthate given i.m. fortnightly resulted in PPZ-levels comparable to those seen after continuous oral medication, but PPZ-SO concentration were much lower. No accumulation was observed. The systemic clearance rate (average approximately 100 1/h) was the same after PPZ-enanthate i.m. and PPZ i.v., but varied three-fold individually. Fuzzy-logic-based inference techniques provide efficient solutions for control problems in classical and emerging applications. However, the lack of specific design tools and systematic approaches for hardware implementation of complex fuzzy controllers limits the applicability of these techniques in modern microelectronics products. This paper discusses a design strategy that eases the implementation of embedded fuzzy controllers as systems on programmable chips. The development of the controllers is carried out by means of a reconfigurable platform based on field-programmable gate arrays. This platform combines specific hardware to implement fuzzy inference modules with a general-purpose processor, thus allowing the realization of hybrid hardware/software solutions. As happens to the components of the processing system, the specific fuzzy elements are conceived as configurable intellectual property modules in order to accelerate the controller design cycle. The design methodology and tool chain presented in this paper have been applied to the realization of a control system for solving the navigation tasks of an autonomous vehicle. 相似文献
