The X-ray sessile-drop method was employed in the present investigation to measure the contact angle between liquid iron and
a silica substrate under argon as well as CO-CO2-Ar atmospheres in the temperature range of 1823 to 1833 K. In the latter case, the measurements were carried out in the dynamic
mode, and the contact-angle changes were followed as a function of time as oxygen in the gas dissolved in the metal. The static
measurements in argon showed that the contact angles in the experimental temperature range are of the order of 135 deg, similar
to those observed in the case of the alumina substrate. In the dynamic mode, oxygen partial pressures varying between 9.9·10−4 and 1.5·10−2 Pa were imposed on the system. In these experiments, the contact angle decreased in two stages, with an intermediate steady-state
region. Fayalite slag, formed due to the reaction between the metallic phase and the substrate, was found to accumulate around
the drop. The results are of relevance in understanding the mechanism of corrosion of silica-containing refractories by molten

The structure of a nickel-base, self-fluxing alloy coating, containing chromium and boron thermal sprayed and fused, was investigated
by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron probe microanalysis (EPMA), and transmission electron
microscopy (TEM). A lumpy M6C carbide, a rodlike M3B2 boride of tetragonal structure, a rodlike M7C3 carbide of hexagonal structure, and a Ni-Ni3B eutectic phase formed in the coating after fusing. In response to the recent tendency to discard Freud's contributions as anachronistic and reductionistic, this article critically examines D. P. Spence's (1982, 1987) contention that the Freudian style of case reporting is ensnared in an outdated positivistic tradition. Spence mistakenly reduces Freud's method of historical construction to a form of naive commitment to the Sherlock Holmes detective story genre. By employing J. Lacan's (1952 [1982]) rereading of Dora's case history, the article conversely demonstrates that in the psychoanalytic situation the analysand's past unfolds in a series of dialectical reversals yielding not a linear, detective-like story with a single solution, but an ever-unfolding and subversive narrative, a life story that stubbornly resists premature closure. High-carbon iron alloys containing carbide formers of chromium and molybdenum were rapidly solidified by means of a single
roller method. In the alloy containing a high level of both chromium and molybdenum (10Cr-5Mo) and a critical carbon content
of about 4 pct, the metastable phases,ε phase and austenite, are retained after solidification. Theε phase could contain a large amount of carbon in solid solution so that during tempering at about 900 K, it decomposes to
very fine ferrite and carbide, which bring about an enhanced hardness of 1300 DPN. Even after tempering at a high temperature
around 1100 K, the hardness hardly deteriorates due to a remarkable dispersion of fine M3C and M7C3 carbides. Thus, coaddition of chromium and molybdenum is effective in obtaining high hardness.

The reaction between six tall oil pitch (TOP) grades and Desmodur N Isocyanate was followed by IR spectroscopy by decrease
of NCO absorption in the film cast from the reaction mixture. Time-conversion curves show that the reactivities of three TOP
grades are of the same magnitude up to 50% conversion, while in the other grades considerably slower reaction rates were observed.
In most catalyzed reactions 90% conversion was completed during 14 days. Development of tensile properties of the films during

BiPCI technology of pulverized coal injection for blast furnace ironmaking was applied to No.2 Blast Furnace of SSAB Oxelösund in Sweden, and notable effectiveness of this BiPCI practice at SSAB has been achieved. The results show that if the tuyere injection rate of pulverized coal is kept nearly unchanged, (1) BiPCI can increase the overall coal rate and decrease the coke rate. When the second injection rate of pulverized coal attains 5 kg/tHM, the coke rate could be reduced by 5 kg/tHM; (2) BiPCI can increase the burden permeability, decrease the pressure drop of the furnace, and produce proper gas flow distribution, which is favourable to keep smooth running of the blast furnace and decrease the total reducing agent rate (RAR). During the test, the RAR showed a decrease by 2.8 kg/tHM (corrected RAR by 1.45 kg/tHM); (3) The pulverized coal through the second injection can be effectively used to protect the coke from fast degradation and improve the coke strength in the blast furnace, which is favourable to lower the high requirement on the coke quality under high coal rate operation. 相似文献

ABSTRACTLaser welding is capable of welding at high speeds by high-density energy, while arc welding is an effective construction method from the viewpoint of tolerance of the gap and welding position. Laser-arc hybrid welding has both these features. The authors have researched suitable welding parameters and consumables for this hybrid welding process that couples laser beam with MAG arc for lap fillet weld joining of thin steel sheets. As a result, the following welding parameters have been proven to be the most appropriate for better bead shapes and root-gap tolerance, i.e. laser leading (kept at a right angle) and MAG trailing (kept at a push angle); the laser-arc distance was 3 mm and the laser beam focus size was 2 mm. In addition, it was proven that HT490-class welding wire of Si-Mn-Ti type (JIS YGW11) was the most appropriate for better bead shapes and root-gap tolerance. The bead shape was apt to be better in cases of higher surface tension of welding wire. The result of the tensile shear test of the joint by welding with HT490-class welding wire of Si-Mn-Ti type (JIS YGW11) under selected welding condition demonstrated that the value of the tensile strength of parent material was equal to that of lab fillet joints. 相似文献
