维吾尔语词首音节元音声学分析

该文利用“维吾尔语语音声学参数数据库”,统计分析和归纳了维吾尔语词首音节元音的共振峰模式及其分布格局。声学元音图有多种画法,该文采用JOOS型声学元音图。这种元音图的特点是以F1为纵坐标,以F2为横坐标。这样绘制成的声学元音图与元音舌位图有很好的对应性。维语标准音词首音节中有[y, i, e, O, u, o, ;, A]等8个元音。舌位前后的分布特点是[u, o, A]为后元音,[y, i, e, O, ;]为前元音;开口度(舌位高低)分布特点是[y, i, u]为高元音,[e, O, o]为次高元音,[;]为次低元音, [A]为低元音.     

Isoform-specific expression and characterization of 14-3-3 proteins in human glioma tissues discovered by stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture-based proteomic analysis

Human 14-3-3 proteins have isoform-specific expression and functions in different kinds of normal or tumor cells and tissues. However, the expression profiling of 14-3-3 proteins and isoform-specific biological functions are unclear in human glioma so far. In our study, the expression levels and characterization of 14-3-3 isoforms in human glioma tissues were investigated by a sensitive, accurate stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture-based quantitative proteomic strategy. As a result, except unexpressed 14-3-3σ, the other six isoforms, with different expression levels, were existed in glioma tissues and para-cancerous brain tissues (PBTs). 14-3-3β and η were upregulated, whereas 14-3-3ζ was downregulated in glioma tissues compared with that in PBTs. And the other three isoforms 14-3-3ε, θ, and γ had similar expression levels in human glioma tissues and PBTs. Western blot and immunohistochemistry analysis were both consistent with the quantitative proteomic data. The loss of expression of 14-3-3σ was further discovered due to DNA high methylation in its coding region in glioma by methylation-specific PCR analysis. These results indicated that the four isoforms, including 14-3-3β, η, ζ, and σ, may play important roles in tumorigenesis of human glioma, which is probably used as potential biomarkers for diagnosis and targets for treatment of human gliomas in future.     

Regulation of proteins mediating neurodegeneration in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis and multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is characterized by inflammatory demyelination and axonal loss as pathophysiological correlates of relapsing activity and progressive development of clinical disability. The molecular processes involved in this pathogenesis are still unclear as they are quite complex and heterogeneous. In this article we present protein expression analysis of brain and spinal cord tissues from different models of murine experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), the most commonly used animal model for multiple sclerosis. We observed a number of EAE-specific protein expression and PTM differences. Proteome analysis was extended to multiple sclerosis specimens in order to validate the EAE findings. Our findings suggest the regulation of a number of proteins that shed light on the molecular mechanisms of the disease processes taking place in EAE and multiple sclerosis. We found consistent modulation of proteins including serum amyloid P component, sirtuin 2, dihydropyrimidinase-related protein family proteins, stathmin 1, creatine kinase B and chloride intracellular channel protein 1. Functional classification of the proteins by database and the literature mining reveals their association with neuronal development and myelinogenesis, suggesting possible disease processes that mediate neurodegeneration.     

Phase-retardation and full-polarization analysis of soft-x-ray synchrotron radiation close to the carbon K edge by use of a multilayer transmission filter

We have produced a multilayer transmission filter with 100 periods of Cr/C to achieve a significant phase retardation while maintaining good transmission for photon energies just below the carbon K edge. This device was installed into a polarimeter behind the SX700/3 monochromator at the Berlin synchrotron radiation laboratory, BESSY. The phase-retardation properties were observed as theoretically predicted. Agreement between experiment and calculation could be obtained by introduction of a rather small interface roughness in the simulation code (σ = 0.65 nm rms). An observed phase retardation of 5° was sufficient to permit, for the first time we believe, a complete and unambiguous polarization analysis of soft-x-ray synchrotron radiation (265-eV photon energy) with primary standards.     

Admittance of rugate filters derived from a 2 × 2 inhomogeneous matrix

Admittance diagrams are used to analyze qualitatively and quantitatively the behavior of inhomogeneous thin films with an arbitrary refractive-index function. From this study it follows that one can treat the behavior of rugate filters by using the concept of effective refractive indices, which are associated with the phase integral in a simple way. These results are applied to the study of periodic systems, and, as expected, one can consider high and low effective refractive indices to determine the important parameters of these stop bands. With these ideas it is possible that one can deal with rugate filters more closely as homogeneous periodic systems by taking advantage of the existing theory.

This reply is to the comment by C. G. Ribbing [Appl. Opt. 33, 8055 (1994)] on our paper on IR optical constants of polycrystalline boron nitride.     

Real-time digital control of optical interferometers by the mechanical-modulation technique

We discuss the application of digital systems to the automatic control of dual-wave optical interferometers. We show that, if the mechanical-modulation technique is used for error-signal extraction, digital techniques can be used both for error-signal extraction and for control-signal generation. Therefore, apart from two front/end amplifiers that are necessary to match the dynamics of the detectors and actuators to the dynamics of the analog-to-digital converters and digital-to-analog converters, no other analog devices are required. In particular, the mechanical-modulation technique requires the synchronous demodulation of the photodiode output signal. Hence we need to implement a digital lock-in amplifier whose algorithm is described here. Finally, we describe one of the possible applications of this digital control procedure, such as the control of a classic Mach-Zehnder interferometer in air.     

Iteration algorithm for computer-aided speckle interferometry

An iteration algorithm for the analysis of speckle interference patterns is presented. First, four digitized phase-shifted patterns are locally averaged. The phase information is then extracted by the usual phase shift algorithm. The wrapped phase is in turn used to reconstruct four new phase-shifted patterns. These three steps form a cycle. Repetition of the three steps has a great effect on suppressing speckle noise. Theoretical study shows that the iterated phase converges to a perfect result under ideal conditions. In general, the iteration causes little error but improves the phase information a great deal. The signal-to-noise ratio rises when additional iterations are performed.     

Wafer fault measurement by coherent optical processor

A microscope coherent optical processor based on the VanderLugt optical correlator is applied to the measurement of registration error in multilayer integrated-circuit wafers. A treatment of the effects of wafer faults on the correlation signal is given. Threshold criteria and fault-induced peak splitting of the correlation signal from reject production samples are exploited to demonstrate the easy and rapid detection of faults in partially processed integrated-circuit wafers.
