This paper investigates two reduced-switch-count dc-link three-phase-to-three-phase four-leg converters. The converters provide bidirectional power flow and power-factor control. A control strategy is proposed to obtain the maximum voltage utilization of the converters for applications in which the load frequency is equal to the grid frequency. Several relevant characteristics of the converters, such as voltage ratings, total harmonic distortion, shared-leg and capacitor currents, harmonic voltage, and power ratings are addressed. In this paper, we derive an EM algorithm for nonlinear state space models. We use it to estimate jointly the neural network weights, the model uncertainty and the noise in the data. In the E-step we apply a forward-backward Rauch-Tung-Striebel smoother to compute the network weights. For the M-step, we derive expressions to compute the model uncertainty and the measurement noise. We find that the method is intrinsically very powerful, simple and stable. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Various techniques have been tried in an attempt to reduce allergen levels in homes. This study investigated the effect of dry heat on mite, cat, and dog allergens. METHODS: Samples (50 mg) of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and D. farinae cultures, and of house dust rich in the major cat and dog allergens Fel d 1 and Can f 1 were heated for 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 min at 60 degrees, 80 degrees, 100 degrees, 120 degrees, and 140 degrees C. Control samples remained at room temperature. Extracts were assayed with the appropriate two-site mono- or mono/polyclonal sandwich ELISA. RESULTS: For Der p 1, the breakdown was proportional to temperature and heating time; after 30 min at 120 degrees C, allergen levels were reduced to < 1% of control. Der p 2 was more heat stable, requiring 140 degrees C for 30-60 min to achieve > 99% reduction. D. farinae groups 1 and 2 allergens showed results similar to those obtained with D. pteronyssinus. In contrast, Can f 1 and Fel d 1 were considerably more thermostable, with 50% and 70%, respectively, of allergen remaining after 60 min at 140 degrees C. CONCLUSIONS: The effect of dry heat on allergens increased with increasing time and temperature, cat and dog allergens demonstrating greater heat resistance than mite allergens. Dry heating methods may represent an alternative technique for removal of mite allergens; however, the greater stability of Fel d 1 and Can f 1 suggests that this procedure may not be appropriate for pet allergens. 相似文献

Periods of tachycardia were induced in isolated segments (15 X 15 mm) of rabbit left atrium by local application of a properly timed premature stimulus. We used a special device for multiple synchronous microelectrode recordings of responses of more than 100 fibers during the initiation of tachycardia. We clearly demonstrated circus movement of the impulse through a small area of atrial muscle as the underlying mechanism. The premature impulse was conducted antegrade in only one direction, whereas in the other directions antegrade conduction failed. The local responses of the fibers in the blocked area served as a temporary obstacle for return of the premature impulse. When these fibers recovered their excitability before extinction of the premature impulse, they were reentered in a retrograde direction, and the impulse traveled in a circular route. During the propagation of a premature beat, local block, which set the stage for circus movement, was caused by nonuniform recovery of excitability of the atrium. We related the spread of activation of a premature impulse to the naturally occurring spatial dispersion in refractory periods and found that local conduction block invariably was associated with an area of delayed restoration of excitability. Artificial induction of differences in refractory periods by regional application of carbamylcholine made it clear that a disparity in refractory periods of only 11-6 msec between adjacent areas may be sufficient to cause local conduction block of a properly timed premature impulse. 相似文献

Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease is the commonest inherited peripheral neuropathy. The clinical study of 45 patients with CMT is presented. They were derived from Antonio Pedro Hospital of Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niteroi, RJ, Brazil. Such patients could be divided by the motor conduction velocity in two types: a demyelinating form or type I (11 cases) and an axonal form or type II (34 cases). The disease was inherited as an autosomal dominant trait in 23 patients and as an autosomal recessive trait in 7 cases. In 15 patients the disorder was sporadic. The age of onset was in most of our cases before the 20 years. All of them had distal weakness in lower limbs. 38.2% had also distal weakness in upper limbs. 80% had distal wasting of the lower limbs and 50% had distal wasting of upper limbs. The tendon reflexes were absent in 64% in lower limbs and in 28% in upper limbs. The sensitive impairment in the distal regions of the extremities was mild in most patients. We found enlargement of peripheral nerves in 7 patients of type I. Pes cavus was present in 21 cases and scoliosis in 7. We found postural tremor of hands in 6 patients. In 9 cases there were rare features as mental retardation, trigeminal nevralgia, optic atrophy, deafness and calf enlargement. In most of our cases the clinical course was very slow progressive. This study examined the relationship between receptor binding of insulin in a metabolically significant target tissue in vitro and sensitivity to insulin in vivo in obese human subjects. Specific insulin binding was measured at 24 degrees C in isolated enlarged fat cells obtained from 16 patients, by observing the effect of increasing concentrations of unlabeled insulin on the binding of [125I]insulin. Scratchard plots of the binding data were curvilinear with an upward concavity, similarity shaped, and essentially parallel. Kinetic studies on the dissociation of [125I]insulin from fat cells indicated that these curvilinear Scratchard plots could be explained by the presence of site:site interactions of the negative cooperative type. Differences in binding between individual patients were predominantly due to differences in the numbers of receptor sites whether expressed in relation to cell number, cell volume, or cell surface area. These findings were not accounted for by differences in [125I]insulin degradation. Acute exposure of adipose tissue to insulin in vitro had no significant effect on [125I]insulin binding to isolated cells. The number of receptor sites was directly correlated with insulin sensitivity in vivo, measured as the rate constant (Kitt) for the fall in blood glucose after intravenous insulin, and was inversely correlated with the level of fasting plasma insulin. These findings corroborate those from other studies using human mononuclear leukocytes and various tissues from the obese mouse, which indicate that decreased insulin binding is a characteristic feature of insulin resistance in obesity. 相似文献

Fumonisin B1 (FB1) is the predominant member of a family of mycotoxins produced by Fusarium moniliforme (Sheldon) and related fungi. Certain foods also contain the aminopentol backbone (AP1) that is formed upon base hydrolysis of the ester-linked tricarballylic acids of FB1. Both FB1 and, to a lesser extent, AP1 inhibit ceramide synthase due to structural similarities between fumonisins (as 1-deoxy-analogs of sphinganine) and sphingoid bases. To explore these structure-function relationships further, erythro- and threo-2-amino, 3-hydroxy- (and 3, 5-dihydroxy-) octadecanes were prepared by highly stereoselective syntheses. All of these analogs inhibit the acylation of sphingoid bases by ceramide synthase, and are themselves acylated with Vmax/Km of 40-125 for the erythro-isomers (compared with approximately 250 for D-erythro-sphinganine) and 4-6 for the threo-isomers. Ceramide synthase also acylates AP1 (but not FB1, under the conditions tested) to N-palmitoyl-AP1 (PAP1) with a Vmax/Km of approximately 1. The toxicity of PAP1 was evaluated using HT29 cells, a human colonic cell line. PAP1 was at least 10 times more toxic than FB1 or AP1 and caused sphinganine accumulation as an inhibitor of ceramide synthase. These studies demonstrate that: the 1-hydroxyl group is not required for sphingoid bases to be acylated; both erythro- and threo-isomers are acylated with the highest apparent Vmax/Km for the erythro-analogs; and AP1 is acylated to PAP1, a new category of ceramide synthase inhibitor as well as a toxic metabolite that may play a role in the diseases caused by fumonisins. 相似文献
