The decarburization of liquid iron with preliminary saturation and without saturation of the metal with hydrogen followed by vacuum and aspiration treatments has been studied. A decrease in the gas pressure above the liquid metal is experimentally shown to increase the deoxidizing capacity of carbon only to certain limits. When a steel is subjected to hydrogen treatment with preliminary saturation of the melt with hydrogen, the formation of hydrogen bubbles enhance the effect of the mixing of the metal bath and substantially increase the melt-gas interface area. As a result, the rate and degree of decarburization increase considerably. The aspiration treatment also makes it possible to decrease the carbon content in the metal due to the creation of an additional reaction surface in the volume of the melt under vacuum conditions.  相似文献

We propose to measure, on a bunch-to-bunch basis, the beam energy at the International Linear e+e- Collider by recording synchrotron radiation (SR) light emitted in the magnets of an energy spectrometer based on beam position monitors. Measuring the width of the horizontal SR fan permits to determine the relative beam energy with a precision better than 10-4. There are two different measuring schemes possible. The first one is based on edge measurements of the direct SR fan, while the second option includes mirrors to deflect soft SR light to detectors located sufficiently off the beamline. Three possibilities for high-spatial resolution detectors are considered: a standard silicon strip detector, a novel-type Si detector and a gas amplification detector, both with exceptional position resolution. The main issue of the first scheme is the high radiation dose expected in the direct SR fan. If mirrors are used this dose is strongly reduced and allows application of any of the three detectors proposed.  相似文献

A method and application results are described for using mathematical models in statistical analysis and control of the annealing regime of a glass band transported inside a tunnel furnace. The results of a computational experiment estimating the efficiency of the algorithms of the annealing regime control are discussed. The possibility for reducing waste and improving the quality of polished glass annealing is demonstrated.  相似文献

Methods are developed for determining viscoelastic characteristics with the results of brief laboratory measurements based on both independent processing of families of relaxation and creep curves and on their combined processing using a new mathematical model and the normalized arc tangent of the logarithm of the reduced time as the relaxation function and the creep function. The expediency of using these methods is demonstrated on the example of polyacrylonitrile fibre. The results of the calculations are confirmed by the experimental data.  相似文献
