There is an urgent need to treat diabetes, and therefore, this work reports on a chitosan-built hydrogel functionalized by a glucose sensing moiety, which simulates pancreatic activity. The effect of external stimuli on various internal properties was investigated to establish the action of the hydrogel. The model drugs, fluorescein (D1) and rhodamine (D2), with a diol architecture, were investigated spectroscopically with 75.94% loading and 65.63% release. Consequently, a ligand to glucose ratio of 2:1 in comparison with a ligand to model drug ratio of 1:1 was addressed. The system was expected to lead to findings on applications for the self-controlled release of insulin in response to blood glucose levels.  相似文献

The correlation between structure and dielectric properties of lead-free (1-x)Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 - xCaTiO3 ((1-x)NBT - xCT) polycrystalline ceramics was investigated systematically by X-ray diffraction, combined with impedance spectroscopy for dielectric characterizations. The system shows high miscibility in the entire composition range. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB), at 0.09?≤?x?<?0.15 was identified where rhombohedral and orthorhombic symmetries coexist at room temperature. The fraction of orthorhombic phase increases gradually with x in the MPB region. Dielectric measurements reveal that the relative permittivity increase with addition of Ca2+. This behavior is unusual with this kind of doping. A thermal hysteresis occurred only in the MPB composition which varies in a non-monotonically manner with x, detected by dielectric properties. This phenomenon is related to the crystalline microstructure by a linear relationship between the fraction of each phase and dielectric properties, and, more precisely, to the strong interaction between rhombohedral and orthorhombic phases.  相似文献

This work aimed at identifying the tensile deformation mechanisms of an original grade of plasticized polylactide (pPLA) obtained by reactive extrusion. This material had a glass transition temperature of 32.6 °C and consisted of a polylactide (PLA) matrix grafted with poly(acryl‐poly(ethylene glycol)) (poly(Acryl‐PEG)) inclusions. pPLA behaved like a rubber‐toughened amorphous polymer at 20 °C, and its tensile behavior evolved toward a rubbery semicrystalline polymer with increasing temperature. The drawing of pPLA involved orientation of amorphous and crystalline chains, crystallization, and destruction of crystals. It was found that crystal formation and crystal destruction were in competition below 50 °C, resulting in a constant or slightly decreasing crystallinity with strain. Increasing temperature enhanced crystal formation and limited crystal destruction, resulting in an increased crystallinity with the strain level. Drawing yielded a transformation of the initial spherical poly(Acryl‐PEG) inclusions into ellipsoids oriented in the tensile direction. This mechanism may engender the formation of nanovoids within the inclusions due to a decreased density, assumed to be responsible for the whitening of the specimen. © 2015 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

In this paper we address a hybrid flow shop scheduling problem considering the minimization of the sum of the total earliness and tardiness penalties. This problem is proven to be NP-hard, and consequently the development of heuristic and meta-heuristic approaches to solve it is well justified. So, we propose an ant colony optimization method to deal with this problem. Our proposed method has several features, including some heuristics that specifically take into account both earliness and tardiness penalties to compute the heuristic information values. The performance of our algorithm is tested by numerical experiments on a large number of randomly generated problems. A comparison with solutions performance obtained by some constructive heuristics is presented. The results show that the proposed approach performs well for this problem.  相似文献

Presented in this paper is a new stress-strain relation for stainless steel alloys that provides the stress as an explicit function of the strain. The relation is an approximate inversion of a recently proposed three-stage stress-strain relation based on a modified Ramberg-Osgood equation. The three-stage relation is a much more accurate formulation than the previous two-stage formulations and is applicable to both tensile as well as compressive stresses. The new relation is derived by making a rational function assumption on the fractional deviation of the actual stress-strain curve from an idealized linear elastic behaviour. The new expression is valid over the full range of the stress well beyond the elastic region. The validity of the inverted expression is tested over a wide range of material parameters. These tests demonstrate that, the new expression results in stress-strain curves which are both qualitatively and quantitatively in excellent agreement with the fully iterated numerical solution of the full-range stress-strain relation with a maximum error below 4%.  相似文献

The prediction of human diseases, particularly COVID-19, is an extremely challenging task not only for medical experts but also for the technologists supporting them in diagnosis and treatment. To deal with the prediction and diagnosis of COVID-19, we propose an Internet of Medical Things-based Smart Monitoring Hierarchical Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (IoMTSM-HMFIS). The proposed system determines the various factors like fever, cough, complete blood count, respiratory rate, Ct-chest, Erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein, family history, and antibody detection (lgG) that are directly involved in COVID-19. The expert system has two input variables in layer 1, and seven input variables in layer 2. In layer 1, the initial identification for COVID-19 is considered, whereas in layer 2, the different factors involved are studied. Finally, advanced lab tests are conducted to identify the actual current status of the disease. The major focus of this study is to build an IoMT-based smart monitoring system that can be used by anyone exposed to COVID-19; the system would evaluate the user’s health condition and inform them if they need consultation with a specialist for quarantining. MATLAB-2019a tool is used to conduct the simulation. The COVID-19 IoMTSM-HMFIS system has an overall accuracy of approximately 83%. Finally, to achieve improved performance, the analysis results of the system were shared with experts of the Lahore General Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan.  相似文献
