The ectopic expression of LMO1 or LMO2 in T cell acute leukaemias resulting from chromosomal translocations t(11;14)(p15;qll) or t(11;14)(p13;q11) respectively in a causal factor in tumorigenesis. LMO1 has been found as a heterodimer with a 46 Kd protein in a T cell line derived from a childhood T-acute leukaemia. This 46 Kd protein is the LIM-binding protein LDB1/NLI. The latter is a phosphoprotein and binds to LMO1 in its phosphorylated state and essentially all the LMO1 and LDB1 protein in the T cell line is part of the complex. Therefore, the LMO1-LDB1 interaction is likely to be involved in tumorigenesis after LMO1 is ectopically expressed following chromosomal translocation in T cells prior to development of acute leukaemias.  相似文献

The authors carry out a performance analysis of two eigenstructure-based direction-of-arrival estimation algorithms, using a series expansion of projection operators (or projectors) on the signal and noise subspaces. In the interest of algebraic simplicity, an operator formalism is utilized. A perturbation analysis is performed on the projectors, the results of which are used to determine the effect on the estimated parameters. The approach makes it possible to carry out the analysis to any chosen order of expansion of the projectors by using an original recurrence formula developed for the higher-order terms in the series expansion of the projectors. This method is used to study the root-MUSIC and root-min-norm algorithms and establish the superiority of root-MUSIC in all cases. The analysis has also resulted in insightful asymptotic expressions that describe the statistical behavior of the estimated angles and radii of the signal zeros  相似文献

The rate of charge transport of electrodes modified with osmium containing poly(N-vinylimidazole) has been examined as a function of the nature of the contacting electrolyte solution and of temperature. Heterogeneous electron transfer from the electrode into the polymer film has also been investigated. The charge transport parameters show that the nature of the electrolyte anion and its concentration have a large impact on the polymer morphology. In sulfuric acid the films appear significantly swollen, hydrated, and porous, while in perchlorate-containing solutions they are rather compact. Activation energies for the rate-determining step of charge transport show that, depending on the electrolyte, segmental chain motion or ion movement represents the rate-limiting process.  相似文献

The corrected Appendix appears with the erratum.] All Hebrew words are composed of 2 interwoven morphemes: a triconsonantal root and a phonological word pattern. The lexical representations of these morphemic units were examined using masked priming. When primes and targets shared an identical word pattern, neither lexical decision nor naming of targets was facilitated. In contrast, root primes facilitated both lexical decisions and naming of target words that were derived from these roots. This priming effect proved to be independent of meaning similarity because no priming effects were found when primes and targets were semantically but not morphologically related. These results suggest that Hebrew roots are lexical units whereas word patterns are not. A working model of lexical organization in Hebrew is offered on the basis of these results. The effects of the adsorption of the fluorescent potential-sensitive dyes RH-421, RH-237 and RH-160 on the bilayer lipid membrane were studied. It was shown that a dipole potential drop, positive in the hydrophobic part of the membrane, arose due to the dye adsorption. The dye adsorption led to a considerable increase of the rate constant of hydrophobic anion translocation through the membrane, but did not affect their partition coefficient between membrane and water. It implies that the region of the membrane where the potential drops is located deeper than the adsorption plane of hydrophobic ions. The values of boundary potential differences were estimated by two independent methods with unilateral and bilateral application of the dyes to lipid bilayer membranes. The results suggest that RH dye molecules penetrate through the lipid bilayers. The values of zeta-potential in liposomes did not change on dye adsorption. Hence, dye molecules are adsorbed in a form that does not change the surface charge. We estimated the effects of electric field of dye dipole layer on an individual dipole located in the same layer and on ion transport through a membrane protein Na+/K+-ATPase. It turned out that the local electric field of each dye dipole decayed so rapidly that a neighbouring dye molecule did not feel it. It also appeared that RH dyes could have but a minor effect on the electrogenic transport performed by the sodium pump in the examined range of dye concentrations.  相似文献

Recent scientific studies have demonstrated the efficacy of various forms of immunotherapy for the treatment of allergic diseases. Traditional subcutaneous immunotherapy, sublingual, oral, and intranasal immunotherapy have been shown to significantly reduce symptoms and favorably modulate the immune response. Outcome studies that use patient response data from standardized surveys represent the next challenge to all practicing allergists.  相似文献
