Effect of carbohydrates on arterial pressure. An experimental study]

The effect of incorporation of sugar in a diet on a level of arterial pressure in 120 rats Wistar was examined. The replacement of 50% of starch by sugar in the balanced diet with a normal content of protein and white salt did not have a profound influence on a pressor effect. However on a background of an abundant content of white salt in a diet protein and fat balanced, the incorporation of sugar in a diet resulted in additional increase of arterial pressure (+27.27 mm of a hg) in comparison with a saline diet without sugar (p < 0.001). The sugary diet with normal content of white salt bring to evident pressor effect (+6.60 mm of a hg) at deficiency of protein (p < 0.001), though on others variants of protein deficiency diets the slight tendency to a drop of arterial pressure was observed. The causes of ambiguous changes of arterial pressure in a protein deficiency remain unclear.     

Determining the operating conditions of floating marine platforms based on the predicted motion control under conditions of wind and wave disturbances

A technique of determining the time when drilling operation must be halted on the basis of the predicted control of the movement of floating marine platforms is proposed. Conclusions In summary, we have proposed a new method for producing⁸⁹Sr for medical purposes from natural yttrium according to the reaction (n, p) in fast-neutron reactors. Investigations confirm the computational parameters of the production: from 2 to 15 mCi⁸⁹Sr per gram of the starting yttrium. We have shown that⁹⁰Sr can be extracted and the final product with the required radionuclide purity can be obtained. Commercial production of⁸⁹Sr in BR-10 and BOR-60 has now started. Parametric identification problems

An approach to the generation of stopping rules in parametric identification problems is proposed on the basis of the computation of a statistic of the difference between two successive estimates. Problems in analyzing hydrostatic measurements of the mass of petroleum products by data-measurement systems

It is shown that use of the classical form of the least squares method to analyze measurements of the mass of petroleum products in storage tanks by DMSs (data-measurement systems) incorrectly estimates the errors of the coefficients of the calibration curves of the differential pressure gages used in these systems. This article presents an algorithm for analyzing these measurements when made on the basis of hydrostatic pressure.
