Summary The room temperature conductivity of lithium salts dissolved in polyethylene oxide, proposed as polymer electrolytes, is shown to decrease drastically upon storage. The crystallization process, which is responsible for that ageing, can be blocked, if two further components are added : an elastomer copolymer butadiene-acrylonitrile and a macromer of polyoxyethylene. Modelling of activated carbon cartridges is essential in personal protective equipments against toxic gases in order to know the duration of protection. The linear driving force model seems to be more adapted than the actual Wheeler–Jonas model because it has more physical significance. The difficulty is that the mass transfer coefficient can not be calculated a priori. Values of the LDF mass transfer coefficient are disseminated in the literature and thus there is no overview of the range and variations with different adsorbents, adsorbates and concentrations. The object of this paper is thus twofold: obtaining values of the mass transfer coefficient at different concentrations and adsorbates in order to have a comprehensive view of variations and appreciating the validity of the LDF constant pattern model.  相似文献

Fully dense boron carbide monoliths exhibiting fine microstructure (i.e., submicrometric grain size) are sintered by Spark Plasma Sintering. Two different commercial powder batches, exhibiting different stoichiometries (i.e., B/C ratio and oxygen content) and various amounts of secondary phases (i.e., boric acid and free carbon), are used. Their chemical composition is well‐defined by coupling different methods (Transmission Electron Microscopy associated with XRD analyses, and Instrumental Gas Analysis), and are correlated with their mechanical properties, characterized from meso‐ to macro‐scopic scales by nano‐indentation and ultrasonic pulse echography. The presence of secondary phases (graphite and boric acid) is evidenced in various proportions in each powder batch. If the boric acid disappears during sintering, the graphite remains. However, for the considered amounts of graphite (lower than 1 wt%), the low variations in graphite content have no significant effect on hardness and elasticity values. At the opposite, the presence of oxygen in boron carbide lattice, leading to a boron oxycarbide phase, induces a decrease in both hardness and elasticity properties.  相似文献

Thermochemical changes occurring during wood welding were investigated in Eucalyptus saligna and Eucalyptus pilularis. Unwelded reference wood and material from welded interface were compared via Py-GC/MS, thermogravimetric analyses, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy to explain differences in mechanical properties of welded wood between species. It appeared that the species originally containing more condensed substructures also provided stronger joints. The condensation index after welding allowed validating that the adhesive properties of lignin are more accessible in such species. The presence of more carbonyl functions, attributed to carbohydrate solicitation during welding process, potentially made lignin less accessible. Changes following welding were evidenced by the contribution of extractive compounds, fatty acid chains, and terpenoids, possibly reacting with hydroxyl groups and leading to adhesive properties by chemical linkage through new covalent bonds formation. Results corroborate the better mechanical properties of E. saligna, providing stronger joints possibly due to more accessible adhesive properties by esterification between lignin and fatty acid.  相似文献

The interpolymer complexation, through successive hydrogen bonding, between poly(acrylamide) (PAAm) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAAm) with poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) in aqueous solution has been viscometrically and potentiometrically investigated. The stoichiometry of the complexes formed was determined. By comparing the strength of the two complexes the very important contribution of the hydrophobic interaction in their formation has been indicated.  相似文献

This paper presents a nonlinear control design for both the H2 and H optimal control for current-fed induction motor drives. These controllers are derived using analytical stationary solutions that minimize a generalized convex energy cost function including the stored magnetic energy and the coil losses, while satisfying torque regulation control objectives. Explicit control expressions for both the H2 and H optimal design are given. Furthermore, the optimal attenuation factor, i.e., the optimal H norm and the corresponding worst case disturbance, are both computed explicitly  相似文献
