This study examined the effects of psychosocial work characteristics on cardiovascular rewind at night. Ambulatory 24-hr recordings of blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) of 75 borderline hypertensive and 74 normotensive men were related to diary ratings of perceived control (PC) and to scores of psychological demand (P), control (C), and social support (S) at work determined by an occupational classification system. Multiplicative interaction terms for job strain (P?×?C, isostrain (P?×?C?×?S), and Job Strain?×?Perceived Control (P?×?C?×?PC) were calculated. The P?×?C?×?PC interaction predicted diastolic BP at night but not at work. A delayed latency to attain the lowest systolic BP during the night was found for jobs with high job strain and isostrain. Low perceived control and social support were associated with higher HR at work and at night. A logistic regression analysis indicated that the interaction between P?×?C?×?PC and the body mass index was independently associated with borderline hypertension. This article presents a multilayer mobility management scheme for all-IP networks where local mobility movements (micro-mobility) are handled separately from global movements (macro-mobility). Furthermore, a hybrid scheme is proposed to handle macro-mobility (mobile IP for non-real-time services and SIP for real-time services). The internetworking between micromobility and macro-mobility is implemented at an entity called the enhanced mobility gateway. Both qualitative and quantitative results have demonstrated that the performance of the proposed mobility management is better than existing schemes. Furthermore, a context transfer solution for AAA is proposed to enhance the multilayer mobility management scheme by avoiding the additional delay introduced by AAA security procedures. 相似文献

The method of using sphincterotonometry during the operation, which is described in this paper, adds further importance to this means of examination besides the pre-operative classifying of urinary incontinence and the postoperative control of the surgical success. By drawing up a urethral profile and by performing simultaneous impact palpation the functional effect of the operation can be checked during the same, so that a possibly necessary correction can follow at once.--Up-til now this test has been carried out during 16 operations on urinary incontinence (diaphragma plastic by Kelly with at least one years of postoperative control).--According to our hitherto existing examinations a positive closing pressure of more than 10 mmHg is necessary for achieving a functionally satisfying operation result. 相似文献

An investigation of the influence of the driving circuit on the arc-discharge of a spark-gap takes place in this work. The two most common types of circuits used in pulsed gas lasers have been studied for all possible combinations of capacitance allocation. In these circuits the spark-gap is used as ignition system and participates in the electric circuit through its resistance and inductance. This consideration shows that capacitances act as charge containers and feed the arc-discharge in the spark-gap independently of their positions in the circuit. Their values influence the total charge contained in the arc discharge and this, in its turn, influences the discharge resistance. On the other hand, total charge flows through the discharge at a rate determined by the coupling of the circuit loops, namely, by the circuit type. Thus, circuit type influences the drift velocity and this, in its turn, influences the channel radius, which determines the discharge inductance 相似文献

An investigation of the optimum condition for maximum optical output in a C-to-C pulsed gas laser (N2 laser) showed that this condition does not happen when the two capacitances are equal (C 1=C2) as this happens in the “Doubling circuit” case, but when the peaking capacitance obtains a critical value. This behavior is attributed to the electric pumping pulse formed by the temporary loading of the peaking capacitor. This electric pumping pulse increases as the peaking capacitor increases. However, for low values of the peaking capacitor the optical output follows the rise of the electric pumping pulse. On the other hand, for higher values of the peaking capacitor than a critical one, a part of the electric energy arrives at the laser channel after the laser output, while the exploitable electric energy decreases causing reduction of the optical output 相似文献

An investigation of the optical output for all possible combinations between the capacitances, C 1 and C 2, in a doubling circuit N2 laser is presented. It is shown that a maximum optical output appears when C 1=C 2 for constant total capacitance. The maximum value increases when the total capacitance increases and the system approaches saturation for capacitance values higher than 20 nF each. This behavior of the optical energy is due to a similar behavior of the current, which becomes maximum when the best coupling of the two loops of the system is achieved through capacitance equality, and the oscillatory behavior of the system is minimized. When this equality is disturbed, either with weak (C 1>C 2 ) or strong (C 2<C 1) coupling of the system, the current and optical outputs decrease. The strain measurement of a 1.65-m reinforced concrete beam by use of a distributed fiber strain sensor with a 50-cm spatial resolution and 5-cm readout resolution is reported. The strain-measurement accuracy is +/-15 microepsilon (microm/m) according to the system calibration in the laboratory environment with non-uniform-distributed strain and +/-5 microepsilon with uniform strain distribution. The strain distribution has been measured for one-point and two-point loading patterns for optical fibers embedded in pultruded glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rods and those bonded to steel reinforcing bars. In the one-point loading case, the strain deviations are +/-7 and +/-15 microepsilon for fibers embedded in the GFRP rods and fibers bonded to steel reinforcing bars, respectively, whereas the strain deviation is +/-20 microepsilon for the two-point loading case. 相似文献

This study demonstrates the use of multilevel modeling to examine influences on ratings of whole family functioning collected from multiple family members (N=26,614) living in 11,023 families with 1 or more dependent children aged 0 to 24 years. Results indicate that 45.7% of the variance in ratings of whole family functioning was shared among family members, whereas 54.3% was nonshared. Family-level characteristics, such as socioeconomic status (SES), family structure and composition, and family well-being, accounted for 30.6% of between-family variation (i.e., shared perceptions). Individual-level characteristics, such as sex, age, dependent child status, education, and well-being, accounted for 5.6% of within-family variance (i.e., unique perceptions). There was significant between-family variation in the relationship between dependent child status and ratings of family functioning, and increased rating discrepancies among members of the same family were linked with higher levels of family SES. The findings attest to the validity of measuring whole family functioning directly from self-report ratings provided from multiple family members.
