Abstract A novel procedure for phase recovery from undersampled phaseshifted interferograms is described. First, synthetic interferograms are used to calculate the wrapped phase differences along two orthogonal directions. Second, they are unwrapped to recover the true Laplacian of the phase. The final step is to integrate the unwrapped phase differences to obtain the required phase. This method may be used with either path-independent or path-dependent phase unwrapping algorithms. The technique overcomes the sensitivity to noise of previous algorithms when low pass filtering techniques are applied during the calculation of the phase differences and least square methods are employed in the final step of phase integration. 相似文献

Fatty acids (FAs) are essential components of the central nervous system (CNS), where they exert multiple roles in health and disease. Among the FAs, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) has been widely recognized as a key molecule for neuronal function and cell signaling. Despite its relevance, the molecular pathways underlying the beneficial effects of DHA on the cells of the CNS are still unclear. Here, we summarize and discuss the molecular mechanisms underlying the actions of DHA in neural cells with a special focus on processes of survival, morphological development, and synaptic maturation. In addition, we examine the evidence supporting a potential therapeutic role of DHA against CNS tumor diseases and tumorigenesis. The current results suggest that DHA exerts its actions on neural cells mainly through the modulation of signaling cascades involving the activation of diverse types of receptors. In addition, we found evidence connecting brain DHA and ω-3 PUFA levels with CNS diseases, such as depression, autism spectrum disorders, obesity, and neurodegenerative diseases. In the context of cancer, the existing data have shown that DHA exerts positive actions as a coadjuvant in antitumoral therapy. Although many questions in the field remain only partially resolved, we hope that future research may soon define specific pathways and receptor systems involved in the beneficial effects of DHA in cells of the CNS, opening new avenues for innovative therapeutic strategies for CNS diseases. 相似文献

Solitary lesions of lichen planus (LP) are often confused with other inflammatory or malignant epithelial lesions. We describe a 51-year-old woman who had had an LP of the lower lip for 11 years. She had undergone several oral and topical therapies with little improvement. The patient had an excellent response to chloroquine phosphate within 3 months. The aim of the present study was to determine whether U-50,488H and U-62,066E, kappa-opioid receptor agonists cause a neuroprotective action against hypoxia/hypoglycemia-induced reduction in 2-deoxyglucose (2-DG) uptake of hippocampal slices from U-50,488H-tolerant rats. Both U-50,488H and U-62,066E exhibited an attenuating effect on hypoxia/hypoglycemia-induced reduction in 2-DG uptake of hippocampal slices. Hypoxia/hypoglycemia-induced deficit of 2-DG uptake was prevented by cotreatment with naloxone, an opioid receptor antagonist, but potentiated by cotreatment with morphine, a mu-opioid receptor agonist. Chronic administration of U-50,488H resulted in the development of tolerance to the analgesic effect as well as the neuroprotective effect whereas this treatment affected neither basal- nor hypoxia/hypoglycemia-induced decreases in 2-DG uptake. Chronic administration of U-50,488H did not modify naloxone-induced attenuation of 2-DG uptake deficit but slightly potentiated the morphine-induced exacerbation. These findings suggest that the tolerance to kappa-opioid receptors does not affect the mu-opioid receptor-mediated neuroprotective or neurotoxic action. 相似文献

We propose a methodology to model complex fracture processes in reinforced concrete beams subjected to static loading. The discrete cohesive approach, accompanied by an insertion algorithm, is adopted and a modified dynamic relaxation method is chosen as an alternative solver. The concrete matrix and steel re-bars are modeled explicitly; the connection in between is represented by means of interface elements. Such elements allow for slip of re-bars and transmit forces to the matrix that may generate secondary cracking around the reinforcement.
