Wind energy conversion systems (WECS) produce fluctuating output power, which may cause voltage fluctuations and flicker. Flicker assessment in networks may be difficult since its evaluation requires long computing time and special procedures to calculate the flicker severity index, Pst. In this paper, a frequency domain method to study flicker propagation is presented. This method is based on propagation of frequency components from WECS output currents throughout the grid. In this way, a fast flicker analysis in a network of any size can be performed. Also, an algorithm for flicker measurement in the frequency domain, which allows Pst calculation, is proposed. Several study cases have been performed, and results have been compared with time domain simulations, showing good agreement between them  相似文献

A myocardial 201TI SPECT examination was conducted both prior to and following surgery of two adult patients with an anomalous left coronary artery originating from the pulmonary artery (Bland-White-Garland syndrome). In this syndrome, the anterior wall is usually affected first. Preoperative examination demonstrated an inferoposterior perfusion defect. In both patients, the right coronary artery was markedly dilated, and a significant left-to-right shunt formation was observed. Both patients were diagnosed as possibly having coronary steal syndrome. A prolonged inadequate blood supply to the right coronary region may cause inferoposterior cardiomyopathy. In the postoperative examination, myocardial perfusion markedly improved in one patient whose preoperative SPECT showed redistribution in a delayed scan. Thallium-201 SPECT was therefore found to be useful in assessing both the preoperative and postoperative myocardial perfusion.  相似文献

Five experiments are reported that investigate the distribution of selective attention to verbal and nonverbal components of an utterance when conflicting information exists in these channels. A Stroop-type interference paradigm is adopted in which attributes from the verbal and nonverbal dimensions are placed into conflict. Static directional (deictic) gestures and corresponding spoken and written words show symmetrical interference (Experiments 1, 2, and 3), as do directional arrows and spoken words (Experiment 4). This symmetry is maintained when the task is switched from a manual keypress to a verbal naming response (Experiment 5), suggesting the mutual influence of the 2 dimensions is independent of spatial stimulus-response compatibility. It is concluded that the results are consistent with a model of interference in which information from pointing gestures and speech is integrated prior to the response selection stage of processing. 1. The mechanism of renal protection by angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition is still the subject of debate. Inhibition of proteinuria might play a role. If so, a good antiproteinuric response to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition should predict subsequent protection against renal structural damage. This hypothesis has not been tested in models where treatment is started after the renal disease is well established, i.e. models that mimic the clinical situation. 2. We therefore investigated this hypothesis in 96 male Wistar rats with established adriamycin nephrosis. Reduction of proteinuria was achieved by lisinopril (0, 2, 5 and 10 mg day-1 kg-1) on two different sodium diets (0.3% and 0.05% NaCl). Therapy started 6 weeks after adriamycin (at stable proteinuria) and was continued for 6 weeks. 3. Lisinopril reduced blood pressure by 32 +/- 4% and proteinuria by an average of 72 +/- 7%, with stabilization after 2 weeks. Considerable interindividual differences in antiproteinuric response was found. Glomerulosclerosis score was reduced by 15 +/- 5%. All the effects of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors were enhanced by sodium depletion, but sodium depletion in itself did not affect blood pressure (124 +/- 4 mmHg), proteinuria (664 +/- 68 mg/day) or glomerulosclerosis score (30 +/- 5%). Interestingly, the more proteinuria was reduced initially in an individual rat, the less sclerosis was found in the long term in that rat. 4. In conclusion, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition lowers proteinuria and prevents glomerulosclerosis in established adriamycin nephrosis. These effects are enhanced by sodium depletion. The individual short-term antiproteinuric effect predicts the protection against ultimate glomerular damage. This is consistent with the hypothesis that reduction of proteinuria is a mechanism by which angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors exert renoprotection.  相似文献

The Gamma nail, an implant specifically designed for intertrochanteric and subtrochanteric femoral fractures, has been criticized for its high risk of secondary shaft fractures. A modified design, the intramedullary hip screw has recently been introduced to correct this complication. We present a case of mechanical failure of this new implant that occurred in a pathological subtrochanteric fracture. The centering sleeve of the implant became loose and migrated while the head screw penetrated the acetabulum. Refixation was successful.  相似文献

A patient with subacute bacterial endocarditis and a peripheral mycotic aneurysm is presented. We used a combined multi-slice surface anatomy scanning (SAS) and contrast-enhanced MR angiography image to determine the exact location of the small lesion by applying a skin marker on the scalp and visualizing the relationship of the marker to the brain surface structures and to the lesion. This technique was useful for the removal of a small peripheral aneurysm using only a limited craniotomy.  相似文献

The quantum 1/f noise theory has been developed in the last two decades and has been applied to 1/f noise suppression in various electronic devices. This theory derives fundamental quantum fluctuations present in the elementary processes of physics at the level of the quantum mechanical cross sections and process rates. This paper demonstrates the basic simplicity of the theory with an elementary physical derivation followed by a short derivation of the conventional quantum 1/f effect in second quantization, for an arbitrary number of particles N defining the scattered current in the final state. A new derivation of the coherent quantum 1/f effect is also included. No adjustable parameters are present in the quantum 1/f theory. Practical applications to semiconductor materials, p-n junctions, SQUID's and quartz resonators are presented. Optimal design principles based on the quantum 1/f theory are described and explained  相似文献

The device parameters of overgrown silicon permeable base transistors (PBT's) have been systematically investigated by two dimensional drift diffusion simulations and analytical calculations. Hence some design rules arise for optimizing the high frequency performance of PBT's. The calculations indicate the source-drain distance as the essential PBT parameter, which should be kept below 200 nm in order to expect unity-current-gain frequencies fT over 50 GHZ. In addition, PBT's with buried monocrystalline CoSi2-gates have been fabricated by high dose cobalt ion implantation through a grid-like mask into MOS-compatible n-type Si(100). Measurements revealed a transconductance of 70 mS/mm and a f T value of 6 GHz. The comparison between measured and simulated output characteristics shows good agreement  相似文献
