The Bisphosphonate Clodronate Modifying Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics for Bone Scaffold

To investigate the efficiency of clodronate modifying HA bioceramics,and to evaluate the effect of clodronate modifying HA bioceramics on the cells in vitro,clodronate modified the porous HA bioceramics for bone scaffold by chelation .The outermost layer of the specimens was analyzd by XPS and FI-IR ,The depth profile was investigated by the argon-ion sputtering method.The cell culture test was conducted using MC3T3-E1 osteoblastic cells,The cells were inoculated and cultured on the scaffolds.Morphological observation of the cells,MTT test and ALP activity test evaluated the cell attachment ,proliferation and activity on the scaffolds.The cell culture test in cell quantity and morphology indicated active proliferation of the cells on the scaffolds.The ALP activity of the cells cultured for 3d and 7d on clodronate-HA bioceramics was slightly higher than that on HA bioceramics ,but the difference was not signifcant,This result indicated that clodronate-HA bioeramics had favorable cytocompatibility to be used as bone scaffold with potential ability to improve asteogensis.     

Plasma Sprayed Hydroxyapatite Coatings with Nano-hydroxyapatite Prepared by Ultrasonic Precipitation Process

Nano-particle hydroxyapatite （ HA ） was prepared with a novel ultrasonic precipitation process and the as-prepared nanopowder was used to produce hydroxyapatite （ HA ） coatings on titanium substrate via plasma spraying. The phase and the microstructare of the coating were characterized by X- ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. Results showed that spherical particles could be prepared by ultrasonic precipitation process; and a corresponding dense HA coating with molten surface and low-porosity cross-section structure was acquired. During the plasma spraying process, new phases of Ca3 （ PO4 ）2 and Ca2 P2O7 were generated. After heat-treating at 800℃ for 1 h, the contents of Ca3 （ PO4 ）2 and Ca2 P2O7 decreased while HA content increased. Tensile adhesion tests showed that the plasma sprayed coating prepared with the spherical nanoparticles exhibited high tensile bond strength.

根据声化学反应的特殊要求，我们研制了上前用于声化学研究的大功率超声系统，由参数可调节的超声发生器配合不同频率的换能器工作，并用它组合成杯式幅杆结构声化学反应器，解决了有关声化学设备的一些技术问题。为声化学技术从实验室规模向工业应用过渡做了必要的准备。     

Intercellular communication between dorsal root ganglion cells and colonic smooth muscle cells in vitro

This study demonstrates that the use of high field 1H NMR spectroscopy permits individual detection of phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin molecules at the surface of native low density lipoprotein (LDL) particles. Distinct behaviour was observed for the choline head group -N(CH3)3 resonances of these different phospholipids revealing preferential immobilisation for phosphatidylcholine. This suggests the existence of reversible and irreversible phosphatidylcholine-apolipoprotein B interactions and is consistent with microdomain formation at the surface monolayer of LDL. The novel resonance assignment and results show that 1H NMR can provide efficient and practical means for future studies on the structure and dynamics at the LDL surface.     

Plasma GABA in children and adolescents with mood, behavior, and comorbid mood and behavior disorders: a preliminary study

Plasma GABA concentrations (pGABA) were measured in 115 inpatients (aged 7-17) with child psychiatric disorders. Group mean pGABAs were compared for 38 patients with mood disorders only (MOOD), 29 with behavior disorders only (BEH), 48 with comorbid mood and behavior disorders (MOOD + BEH), and 14 normal controls (CON, aged 14-17). The BEH group was characterized by (a) high mean pGABAs (157 vs. 133 pmol/ml), (b) lower mean pGABAs in BEH subjects who had been receiving pharmacotherapy with SSRIs or other medications (p < 0.026), and (c) decreased pGABA with increasing age (p = 0.019). These features were not found in controls or in groups of patients with mood disorders (MOOD or MOOD + BEH). Elevated mean pGABA in the BEH group appeared specifically in patients with comorbid CD and ADHD, not in patients with ADHD or CD alone (p = 0.004). No patient in BEH (or CON) had pGABA below 100 pmol/ml, but low pGABAs were found in 15% of MOOD patients (who had no behavior disorder) and in 16% of MOOD + BEH patients. Pharmacotherapy did not change pGABAs in the MOOD or the MOOD + BEH groups. No pGABA differences were found among the anxiety disorders, either alone or with mood or behavior comorbidity. The finding that plasma GABA levels are elevated in nonmedicated behavior disorders that present in the absence of mood disorders, and appear to lower following medication treatments, merits increased attention to the pharmacological study of nonaffective behavior disorders.     

Protein expression profiles in human breast ductal carcinoma and histologically normal tissue

Reference two-dimensional (2-D) gels are presented for human breast ductal carcinoma and histologically normal tissue. Whole biopsy fragments were analyzed, including epithelial and nonepithelial components. Thirty-five spots have been assigned by gel matching to the human liver SWISS-2DPAGE reference map and/or to the human primary keratinocyte IPG map from the Danish Center for Human Genome. N-terminal microsequencing was applied to confirm randomly chosen matching assignments and to identify six new spots. Protein expression profiles in ductal carcinoma and in normal breast tissue appeared to be similar, except for a pattern consisting of 32 spots, which were highly expressed in all carcinoma specimens, and less intense and occasionally undetectable in normal tissue. This difference was statistically significant. Assignment has been obtained for several spots, namely GRP94, GRP78, GRP75, mitochondrial HSP60, calreticulin, protein disulfide isomerase, peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase, collagen-binding protein 2, fructose bisphosphate aldolase, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, thioredoxin, cytochrome c oxidase VA subunit, tubulin beta isoform and macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). The cancer- and tissue-specificity of the described pattern was assessed by matching to the Swiss-2DPAGE human liver, hepatoma, lymphoma, erythroleukemia reference maps. The pattern of 32 spots was found to be indicative of epithelial neoplasia.     

Cortisone-induced osteoporosis: effects on bone adenylate cyclase

The majority of patients with soft tissue or bone sarcomas of the upper extremity can be treated today with limb-saving procedures using combined modality therapies. For patients with a tumor in the shoulder area, sometimes an interscapulothoracic amputation is the only radical surgical treatment. However, in selected cases, in which the tumor does not involve the neurovascular bundle, a limb-sparing alternative might be the Tikhoff-Linberg resection. Normal function of the hand and forearm, with reasonable function of the elbow, can be maintained by this procedure. Four case histories are reported.     

纳米材料对PBT合成的催化性能研究

用溶胶－凝胶法制备TiO2及TiO2/SiO2复合纳米材料，作为PBT（聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯）合成的催化剂，与现在普通使用的催化剂钛酸丁酯进行了比较和研究。结果发现，TiO2/SiO2复合纳米材料催化性能最好，纳米TiO2次之。     

Adsorption of 117mSn(Ⅳ)-EDTMP on hydroxyapatite and collagen

Some organic phosphines labeled with 117mSn(Ⅳ) have been provedpromising for imaging and pain palliation of bone tumor. In this paper, a prelimi-nary investigation on the adsorption characteristics of EDTMP (ethelenediaminete-tramethylene phosphoric acid) labeled with 117mSn(Ⅳ) on HA(hydroxyapatite) andcollagen, and an investigation on the adsorption mechanism of 117mSn(Ⅳ)-EDTMPon HA was presented.``
