The optimization of the total annual cost in heat exchanger networks has been one of the overarching goals when synthesizing these networks. Several methodologies and techniques have been developed to achieve optimal costs in mixed material heat exchanger networks. This paper demonstrates the application of two decomposition methodologies (total decomposition and partial decomposition) for typical cost rules. The objective function was defined as the optimization and minimization of the total annual cost in mixed materials heat exchanger network. Three optimization algorithms, hybrid genetic‐particle swarm optimization (GA‐PSO), shuffled frog leaping algorithm (SFLA) techniques, and ant colony optimization (ACO), were used to further optimize the total cost in mixed materials heat exchanger network. The results indicate that the total annual cost in partial decomposition method was smaller than that in full integration method and total decomposition method. The reduction of the total annual cost was about 27% for GA‐PSO algorithm, 24% for SFLA and 10% for ACO relative to the results reported in this work. In partial decomposition method, at least one mixed material of heat exchanger was used to reduce the hot and cold utility for decreasing the total annual cost. Partial decomposition method resulted in the highest reduction of the total annual cost compared with other methods. Percentage of difference of the total annual cost were 0.36%, 1.92%, and 5.05% for full integration, total decomposition, and partial decomposition methods, respectively, in comparison with the previous studies. Results have been compared with the results of other studies to demonstrate the accuracy of the applied algorithms.  相似文献

A silane moisture-cured polyolefin elastomer/linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) blend was prepared through a two-step silane-grafting method (Sioplas Process) in an industrial scale twin-screw extruder. The silane-grafted compound was used to make wire and cable coatings. In this work, the effect of some interactive parameters on quality of the products prepared by the above method has been studied, while so far, there have been less experimental investigations. The volume resistivity of cross-linked compound was changed from 2.96 × 1014 to 7.41 × 1014 Ω cm with increasing LLDPE component by maximum 10 wt%. Surface morphology of the product was corrected with reduction in benzoyl peroxide (BPO) concentration from 0.2 wt% to 0.13 wt%. BPO at this level acted as an initiator in grafting reaction of vinyl trimethoxysilane. The curing condition and specimen preparation method by injection molding and/or extrusion were factors which influenced the hot-set test results at 200 °C. The results of tensile and elongation studies showed a maximum value of 9 MPa and 397% for the tests, after 6 h curing. With increases in curing time at a specified temperature, the gel content of the cross-linked compound was increased and reached its maximum value. The maximum gel content values were found to be approximately 60%, 80%, and 82% at temperatures of 25, 60, and 85 °C, respectively. The hardness, density, and tear strength of the samples did not vary significantly with the curing temperature.

Parameter extraction of the five-parameter single-diode model of solar cells and modules from experimental data is a challenging problem. These parameters are evaluated from a set of nonlinear equations that cannot be solved analytically. On the other hand, a numerical solution of such equations needs a suitable initial guess to converge to a solution. This paper presents a new set of approximate analytical solutions for the parameters of a five-parameter single-diode model of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules. The proposed solutions provide a good initial point which guarantees numerical analysis convergence. The proposed technique needs only a few data from the PV current-voltage characteristics, i.e. open circuit voltage Voc, short circuit current Isc and maximum power point current and voltage Im; Vm making it a fast and low cost parameter determination technique. The accuracy of the presented theoretical I–V curves is verified by experimental data.  相似文献

Graphene oxide was chemically functionalized with a modifier synthesized from coupling reaction of ethylenediamine and 2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)-2-methylpropionic acid in low and high graft densities. Then, the modified graphenes were used in grafting from reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization of styrene. Successful synthesis and grafting of modifier was approved by proton nuclear magnetic resonance and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Also, FTIR, X-ray photo electron spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy were used to confirm the successful grafting of modifier moieties. Molecular weight and polydispersity index of attached polystyrene chains were studied by size exclusion chromatography. Thermogravimetric analysis was used to investigate the degradation temperatures, char contents, and graft ratios. Weight ratio of modifier in modified graphenes is calculated to be 4.93 × 10?2 and 12.23 × 10?2 for low and high graft densities. Also, molar ratio of modifier is 121.22 and 300.71 μmol/g respectively. Scanning electron and transmission electron microscopies show that graphite layers with flat surface were wrinkled during the oxidation process and also polystyrene-grafted graphenes are observed as opaque layers.  相似文献

Moderate or Intense Low-oxygen Dilution (MILD) combustion is a clean combustion technology with high thermal efficiency and low levels of emissions. In this paper, by employing Adelaide Jet-in-Hot-Co-flow (AJHC), several approaches are examined to increase the numerical solution accuracy. First, molecular diffusion effects are investigated in MILD combustion. Second, adjusting the Eddy Dissipation Concept (EDC) coefficients is comprehensively discussed, and finally, the reaction fraction coefficient and EDC formulation are investigated. The results show that the effect of enthalpy transport caused by molecular diffusion on the energy equation must be considered in the low oxygen concentration regions. Also, the maximum temperature in the MILD region can be kept constant by adjusting EDC coefficients. Furthermore, it is shown that applying the reaction fraction factor increases the accuracy of the numerical solution in the MILD region.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the Kurdish BLARK (Basic Language Resource Kit). The original BLARK has not considered multi-dialect characteristics and generally has targeted reasonably well-resourced languages. To consider these two features, we extended BLARK and applied the proposed extension to Kurdish. Kurdish language not only faces a paucity in resources, but also embraces several dialects within a complex linguistic context. This paper presents the Kurdish BLARK and shows that from Natural language processing and computational linguistics perspectives the revised BLARK provides a more applicable view of languages with similar characteristics to Kurdish.  相似文献

The performance of an optimization tool is largely determined by the efficiency of the search algorithms used in the process as well as the proper handling of complex constraints. From the implementation point of view, an important part of task ensuring an efficient algorithm to work to its best capability is to handle the boundary constraints properly and effectively. As most studies in the literature have focused on the development of algorithms and performance evaluation and comparison of optimization algorithms, this crucial step has not been explored very well, and consequently only limited studies have been carried out in this field. This paper intends to propose a simple and yet efficient evolutionary scheme for handling boundary constraints. The simplicity of this approach means that the proposed scheme is very easy to implement and thus can be suitable for many applications. We demonstrate this approach with an efficient algorithm, differential evolution, and we also compare it with other boundary constraint handling approaches for a wide set of benchmark problems. Based on statistical parameters and especially mean values, the results obtained by the evolutionary scheme are better than the best known solutions obtained by the existing methods.  相似文献
