Digitization of Waveforms from Photosensors of the DANSS Detector

The detection equipment of the DANSS setup includes 2500 silicon photomultipliers and approximately 100 photomultiplier tubes (PMTs). The system of data acquisition from these photosensors is based on waveform digitization, with which it is possible to simultaneously obtain both amplitude and timing information. The modules of waveform digitizers (WFDs) are made to the VME standard and allow parallel digitization of 64 differential signals at a frequency of 125 MHz with a 12-bit amplitude resolution. The programmable logic of the WFDs provides production of the system trigger based on the analysis of the PMT signals and its propagation without any additional hardware. Owing to the extremely low analog noise, it is possible to use the full dynamic range of the digitization. These WFD modules are superior to other similar modules in the throughput and may find wide application to perform similar tasks of waveform digitization.     

Using the Kalman filter in the quadrotor vehicle trajectory tracking system

A problem of control of quadrotor vehicle motion over a trajectory defined implicitly in the coordinate space is considered. The previously proposed system of automated control of quadrotor vehicle flight is supplemented with relations based on an extended Kalman filter for estimating the plant state vector and the systematic error of measurements. The workability of the control system in the presence of the measurement noise is verified by results of modeling and experiments with the AR.Drone quadrotor vehicle.     

Method of frequency control of an induction motor with a vector structure of flux linkages

An algorithm for controlling the torque or the rotation velocity of the rotor of an induction (asynchronous) motor with vector control of flux linkages is proposed. Stability of the control loops of the torque and rotor rotation velocity is analyzed, and results of simulating the operation of the proposed algorithms are described.     

Development and Implementation of the Casting of Rods Made of Refractory Cast Alloys

The problems of the production of a so-called casting rod blank made of a refractory casting alloy in the vacuum induction furnaces of AO Metallurgical Plant Electrostal are considered. A unique technology of casting and subsequent treatment of as-cast rod blanks made of refractory alloys is developed, tested, and optimized. As a result of the developed and performed measures for the production of metal products in the Consarc furnace, the ingot-to-product yield increases by 15% as compared to metal casting in an ISV-1.0 furnace. As a result, we have widened the range of cast alloy grades and are going to cast metals for the manufacture of blanks of other sizes and ranges of alloy an steel grades.     

Reduction of air inflows in condensers of 200-MW power units

Results of updating the reducer between the LPC and the condenser involving removal of lens compensators and stiffening of the bar and rib frames are presented. Air inflows into the vacuum system through cracks in welded joints of flexible elements with total welded length of 240 m are lowered considerably by replacing them by stiff sheet structures.
