In this work we propose an approach for incorporating learning probabilistic context-sensitive grammar (LPCSG) in genetic
programming (GP), employed for evolution and adaptation of locomotion gaits of a simulated snake-like robot (Snakebot). Our
approach is derived from the original context-free grammar which usually expresses the syntax of genetic programs in canonical
GP. Empirically obtained results verify that employing LPCSG contributes to the improvement of computational effort of both
(i) the evolution of the fastest possible locomotion gaits for various fitness conditions and (ii) adaptation of these locomotion
gaits to challenging environment and degraded mechanical abilities of the Snakebot. 相似文献
Supramolecular gels consisting of trivalent polyisobutylene and bivalent poly(ethylene oxide) are generated. Strong hydrogen bonding interactions, affixed to the end‐group moieties of the respective polymers (binding constant Kassn = 105 M –1), serve as molecular glue, leading to the formation of weak gels. Two different gels were prepared: one, with a short telechelic poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) segment (gel A), and one with a longer PEG segment (number‐average molecular weight Mn = 2000 g mol–1) (gel B). Both gels show a significant increase in viscosity upon mixing of the two polymeric components, with a lag time of several minutes, indicative of nucleation mechanisms as the formation principle. However, only gel A displays classical gel‐like behavior, with a loss modulus G′ larger than the storage modulus G″ after formation. Both gels display microphase‐separated behavior with a spacing between 4–5 nm as probed via small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements. The incorporation of magnetic nanoparticles (Fe2O3; radius r = 3.5 nm) is successfully achieved, generating new magnetic gels with strongly thermoresponsive properties, displaying a strong temperature‐dependent release profile of included dye molecules. Magnetic measurements indicate a superparamagnetic behavior of the incorporated nanoparticles, prospecting the application as magneto‐sensitive delivery gels for pharmaceutical purposes. 相似文献
This paper presents a multimodal biometrie verification system based on the following hand features: palmprint, four digitprints and four fingerprints. The features are obtained using the Karhunen-Loève transform based approach, and information fusion at the matching-score level was applied. We experimented with different resolutions of the regions of interest, different numbers of features and several normalization and fusion techniques at the matching-score level. To increase the reliability of the system to spoof attacks we included an aliveness-detection module based on thermal images of the hand dor sa. The verification performance when using a system configuration with optimum parameters, i.e., resolution, number of features, normalization and fusion technique, showed an equal error rate (EER) of 0.0020%, which makes the system appropriate for the implementation of high-security biometric systems. 相似文献
This review paper presents a comparative study of published integrated submicron CMOS quadrature voltage-controlled oscillator designs, based on LC resonator tanks operating at gigahertz frequencies. Although special reference to phase noise reduction is made, the comparison also concerns issues such as power consumption, tuning range and the phase accuracy of the quadrature signals. The effect of supply voltage reduction on the choice of the oscillator topology is also included in the discussion. 相似文献
Position controlled nanowire growth is important for nanowire-based optoelectronic components which rely on light emission or light absorption. For solar energy harvesting applications, dense arrays of nanowires are needed; however, a major obstacle to obtaining dense nanowire arrays is seed particle displacement and coalescing during the annealing stage prior to nanowire growth. Here, we explore three different strategies to improve pattern preservation of large-area catalyst particle arrays defined by nanoimprint lithography for nanowire growth. First, we see that heat treating the growth substrate prior to nanoimprint lithography improves pattern preservation. Second, we explore the possibility of improving pattern preservation by fixing the seed particles in place prior to annealing by modifying the growth procedure. And third, we show that a SiNx growth mask can fully prevent seed particle displacement. We show how these strategies allow us to greatly improve the pattern fidelity of grown InP nanowire arrays with dimensions suitable for solar cell applications, ultimately achieving 100% pattern preservation over the sampled area. The generic nature of these strategies is supported through the synthesis of GaAs and GaP nanowires.
This paper presents the ground control station developed for a platform composed by multiple unmanned aerial vehicles for surveillance missions. The software application is fully based on open source libraries and it has been designed as a robust and decentralized system. It allows the operator to dynamically allocate different tasks to the UAVs and to show their operational information in a 3D realistic environment in real time. The ground control station has been designed to assist the operator in the challenging task of managing a system with multiple UAVs, trying to reduce his workload. The multi-UAV surveillance system has been demonstrated in field experiments using two quadrotors equipped with visual cameras. 相似文献
