A novel reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) reagent bearing triphenylamine (TPA) group, 4-diphenylamino-dithiobenzoic acid benzyl ester (DDABE), was designed and synthesized. It was used in the RAFT polymerizations of styrene (St) and methyl acrylate (MA) to prepare end-functionalized polymers. The results of the polymerization showed that the RAFT polymerizations could be well controlled using DDABE as the RAFT agent. Number-average molecular weight (Mn,GPC) increased linearly with monomer conversion, and molecular weight distributions were relatively narrow (PDI< 1.50). The results of chain-extension reaction, 1H NMR spectra and UV/Vis spectra confirmed that most of the polymers chains were end-capped by the functional triphenylamine (TPA) groups. The effect of feed molar ratios of St/DDABE/AIBN on polymerization was investigated.  相似文献

Polymer matrix RE-Fe giant magnetostrictire composite (GMPC) was prepared using bonding and magnetic field forming technique, and magnetostriction of samples was measured for different compressive stress. The experimental results show thai there is certain compressive effect in GMPC. And the influence of compressive stress on magnetostriction of sample was investigated. A dual-staged nanofiltration process is being evaluated as an alternative to reverse osmosis for seawater desalination. The primary goal of this system is to reduce energy consumption while producing potable water at an acceptable recovery rate. Investigation of this system at the bench-scale level focused on membrane surface characterization, ion rejection (including boron, bromide, and iodide rejection), and flux decline. Results from this study showed that two commercially available nanofiltration membranes can effectively desalinate seawater. Although fouling was apparent—and resulted in approximately 20% flux decline over 3 days—a critical flux was not identifiable. Operation of the system at different cross-flow velocities revealed the significance of hydrodynamic conditions on the polarization modulus, and hence on membrane performance.  相似文献

用X射线和电镜研究了Fe_(70)B_(30)粉末经不同时间高能球磨后晶粒尺寸和微观应力的变化。在机械合金化过程中,粉末的X射线衍射谱的宽度随球磨时间的增加逐渐加宽,这是晶粒细化和内部微观应力共同作用的结果。X射线衍射结果表明:随着机械合金化的进行,粉末的晶粒尺寸逐渐减小,球磨初期晶粒尺寸下降较快,经15h球磨,晶粒尺寸为25nm,机械合金化进行到一定时间后晶粒尺寸下降缓慢,80h球磨后晶粒尺寸可达5nm。在机械合金化过程中球磨所造成的微观应变不大,球磨初期粉末的内应力随球磨时间增加而增加,当粉末粒子尺寸很小时,随球磨的进行粉末中的微观应变显著下降。  相似文献

Oncogenic avian retroviruses, such as Rous sarcoma virus (RSV) and the avian leukosis viruses, contain a strong enhancer in the U3 portion of the proviral long terminal repeat (LTR). The LTRs of a second class of avian retroviruses, the endogenous viruses (ev) lack detectable enhancer activity. By creating ev-RSV hybrid LTRs, we previously demonstrated that, despite the lack of independent enhancer activity in the ev U3 region, ev LTRs contain sequences that are able to functionally replace essential enhancer domains from the RSV enhancer. A hypothesis proposed to explain these data was that ev LTRs contain a partial enhancer that includes sequences necessary but not sufficient for enhancer activity and that these sequences were complemented by RSV enhancer domains present in the original hybrid constructs to generate a functional enhancer. Studies described in this report were designed to define sequences from both the ev and RSV LTRs required to generate this composite enhancer. This was approached by generating additional ev-RSV hybrid LTRs that exchanged defined regions between ev and RSV and by directly testing the requirement for specific motifs by site-directed mutagenesis. Results obtained demonstrate that ev enhancer sequences are present in the same relative location as upstream enhancer sequences from RSV, with which they share limited sequence similarity. In addition, a 67-bp region from the internal portion of the RSV LTR that is required to complement ev enhancer sequences was identified. Finally, data showing that CArG motifs are essential for high-level activity, a finding that has not been previously demonstrated for retroviral LTRs, are presented.  相似文献

Undoped and phosphorus (P)-doped diamond-clad Si field emitter arrays have been successfully fabricated using microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) technology. The electron emission from the blunt diamond-clad microtips are much higher than those for the pure Si tips with sharp curvature due to a lower work function. Furthermore, the characteristics of emission current against applied voltage for the P-doped diamond-clad tips show superior emission at lower field to the undoped ones. After the examination of Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and electrical characteristics of as-grown diamond, such a significant enhancement of the electron emission from the P-doped diamond-clad tips is attributed to a higher electron conductivity and defect densities  相似文献
