The effect of high temperature reduction in hydrogen was studied by angle resolved XPS in a system formed of platinum deposited on the (100) surface of a TiO2 single crystal sample. The analysis of the variation of the Pt/Ti XPS signal ratio as a function of the electron collection angle showed that partially reduced titanium oxide is present on the Pt film after the reduction treatment. The amount of oxide on the Pt surface is of the order of one monolayer equivalent. 相似文献

In this paper, a new assembling method of spline joints that enables tight fitting in a simple manner by allowing slight plastic deformation at the spline teeth was introduced. Experiments were carried out for the spline joints of medium carbon steel varying the overlap zone between the male and the female spline teeth. Axial joining strength was increased with increase in the overlap length due to the residual compressive stress by forming. The joint by the proposed method also showed higher torsional strength than the conventional joint. Improvement in the torsional strength was explained based on the deformation and hardness distribution around the spline teeth. With respect to the shape of overlap zone, better results were obtained when using the specimen having a uniform overlap length along the axial direction. 相似文献

Endothelial cells acquire different phenotypes to establish functional vascular networks. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling induces endothelial proliferation, migration, and survival to regulate vascular development, which leads to the construction of a vascular plexuses with a regular morphology. The spatiotemporal localization of angiogenic factors and the extracellular matrix play fundamental roles in ensuring the proper regulation of angiogenesis. This review article highlights how and what kinds of extracellular environmental molecules regulate angiogenesis. Close interactions between the vascular and neural systems involve shared molecular mechanisms to coordinate developmental and regenerative processes. This review article focuses on current knowledge about the roles of angiogenesis in peripheral nerve regeneration and the latest therapeutic strategies for the treatment of peripheral nerve injury. 相似文献

In the steam gasification of biomass, the additive effect of noble metals such as Pt, Pd, Rh and Ru to the Ni/CeO2/Al2O3 catalyst was investigated. Among these noble metals, the addition of Pt was most effective even when the loading amount of added Pt was as small as 0.01 wt.%. Rheological properties in a molten state are studied extensively for poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate‐co‐3‐hydroxyvalerate), PHB‐HV, with a small amount of crosslinked poly(epichlorohydrin), PECH, having low density of crosslink points. It is found that adding 2 wt % of xPECH greatly enhances the melt elasticity of PHB‐HV, one of the serious defects of microbial PHB, whereas it has no effect on the shear viscosity. The electrothermal explosion spraying of conductive ceramic powders was characterized according to the electric and gas dynamic
behavior of heated powders. Optical observation revealed the generation of
the jetting with a leading velocity over 3 km/s. The velocity depended on the shape of the jet and the energy
supplied to the powder. The heating process was related to the jetting process of the heated powders.
The total electric energy supplied to the powder was two to three times the theoretical amount needed to
melt the powder. Such electric energy was used for heating and accelerating the powder. This spray technique

Chemical and Chromatic Bases for Preferential Visiting By the Cabbage Butterfly, Pieris rapae, to Rape Flowers 总被引:1,自引:2,他引:1
Scent and coloration of corolla were examined as floral attributes responsible for preferential visiting by the cabbage butterfly, Pieris rapae, to rape flower, Brassica rapa. Floral volatile components that release the flower-visiting behavior of the butterfly were identified by chemical analyses, electroantennography (EAG), and two behavioral bioassays: proboscis extension reflex (PER) in response to odor and attraction to artificial flowers. GC and GC-MS analyses of the headspace volatiles from the flowers revealed the presence of six aromatic compounds, benzaldehyde, phenylacetaldehyde, benzyl alcohol, 2-phenylethanol, phenylacetonitrile, and indole in decreasing order of quantity. Of these, phenylacetaldehyde elicited the highest response in the PER assay. While benzyl alcohol, 2-phenylethanol, benzaldehyde, and phenylacetonitrile evoked moderate responses, the PER-eliciting activity of indole was very weak. In two-choice behavioral bioassays, artificial flowers scented with any one of these PER-active compounds attracted significantly more butterflies than control (unscented) flowers, whereas those treated with indole were almost inactive. The EAG activities of the six chemicals were not high and were about the same at a low dose (1 g), but phenylacetaldehyde elicited a much stronger response from both sexes at higher doses (10 and 100 g). An overall profile of EAG responses at a dose of 100 g was analogous to that of PER performance, suggesting that floral volatiles may be involved in close-range location or recognition of flowers rather than long-range attraction. By spectroscopic and UV-photographic examinations of rape flower, the central part of the corolla was found to absorb UV rays in marked contrast to the other parts, which reflected near-UV rays (max = 350 nm). This indicates that the flower is endowed with a conspicuous nectar guide that is probably an important visual stimulus for attracting foraging adults of P. rapae. Consequently, the present findings strongly suggest that this elaborate pollination strategy of rape flower, characterized by its good combination of olfactory and visual attractiveness, accounts for preferential visiting by the cabbage butterfly to the flower. 相似文献

The hyperbranched polymers (HBP-SA-Acs) with both a sulfonic acid group as a functional group and an acryloyl group as a cross-linker at terminals in different ratios of sulfonic acid group/acryloyl group (SO3H/Ac) were successfully synthesized as a new thermally stable proton-conducting electrolyte. The cross-linked hyperbranched polymer electrolyte membranes (CL-HBP-SAs) were prepared by thermal polymerizations of the HBP-SA-Acs using benzoyl peroxide, and their ionic conductivities under dry condition and thermal properties were investigated. The ionic conductivities of the CL-HBP-SAs were found to be in the range of 2.2 × 10−4 to 3.3 × 10−6 S/cm, depending upon the SO3H unit contents, at 150 °C under dry condition, and showed the Vogel-Tamman-Fulcher (VTF) type temperature dependence, indicating that proton transfer is cooperated by local polymer chain motion. All CL-HBP-SAs were thermally stable up to 260 °C, and they had suitable thermal stability as electrolyte membranes for the high-temperature fuel cells under dry condition. Fuel cell measurement using a single membrane electrode assembly cell with a cross-linked electrolyte membrane was successfully performed under non-humidified condition. It was demonstrated that applying the concept of dry polymer system to proton conduction is one possible approach toward high-temperature fuel cells. 相似文献
