OBJECTIVE: Research has confirmed substantial links between OCD and AN. Not only are there psychopathological similarities between the two syndromes, but a marked neurochemical correspondence. Extensive exercising is a common feature of AN and also has relevance in its links with OCD. There is evidence from the exercise-induced weight-loss syndrome in animals that exercise and caloric restriction, in combination, tend to increase serotonergic activity in a synergistic manner. This syndrome has been proposed as a valid model of OCD as well as for AN. To date, little research has directly tested this theory in the human condition. METHOD: Fifty-three AN patients were categorized as high-level exercisers (N = 22) or moderate/nonexercisers (N = 31) based on the frequency of their physical activity over the year before assessment. RESULTS: Exercisers scored significantly higher on a measure of OC personality characteristics, OC symptomatology, and perfectionism--a personality factor associated with the development of Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder. On the other hand, there were no group differences on other salient eating disorder characteristics such as body esteem, self-esteem, or weight preoccupation. There were also no differences in degree of emaciation as indicated by Body Mass Index. CONCLUSIONS: Findings suggest that among AN patients obsessional personality characteristics are linked to high-level exercising, and that exercising is associated with a greater degree of OC symptomatology. Results are discussed in the context of current theories of AN, OCD, and some biological mechanisms.  相似文献

An integrated design procedure which is composed of structural design, control design, and actuator locations design is proposed in this paper. First, a composite objective function, formed by a structural and a control objective, is optimized in steady state through the homogenization design method. Then an independent modal space control algorithm (IMSC) is performed on this optimal structure to reduce the dynamic response. Finally, to minimize the control force while still obtaining the same modal response for the controlled modes, the optimal choice for actuator locations is discussed.Part of this paper was presented in the First World Congress of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (held in Goslar, Germany, May 28–June 2, 1995).  相似文献

A formulation that finds the optimal design of a controlled structure is proposed. To achieve this goal, a composite objective composed of structural and control objectives is introduced to be optimized, and the effect of the control weighting is examined. A feedback control law is defined before the structural optimization and then the composite objective will only become a function of structural design variables. The phase equilibria in the pseudo-binary system Bi2O3-TeO2 at 600° 950° C in air were examined by solid-state reaction techniques and X-ray powder diffraction method. Four pseudo-binary compounds appeared, i.e., -Bi2O3 type solid solution having a compositional range of (1-x)Bi2O3·xTeO2 wherex=0 0.4 a new compound Bi6Te2O15 which has an orthorhombic cell of a=2.27(4) nm, b=1.06(1) nm and c = 0.539(8) nm, 2Bi2O3 · 3TeO2, and an unidentified phase Bi2O3·2TeO2. The formation of the phase Bi6Te2O15, in which all the Te ions are hexavalent, was confirmed by the thermogravimetry and by the Mössbauer spectra. The liquidus curves for whole system were determined by DTA method.  相似文献

Xenoantigens cause hyperacute rejection and limit the success of interspecific xenografts. Therefore, genes involved in xenoantigen biosynthesis, such as GGTA1, CMAH, and B4GALNT2, are key targets to improve the outcomes of xenotransplantation. In this study, we introduced a CRISPR/Cas9 system simultaneously targeting GGTA1, CMAH, and B4GALNT2 into in vitro-fertilized zygotes using electroporation for the one-step generation of multiple gene-edited pigs without xenoantigens. First, we optimized the combination of guide RNAs (gRNAs) targeting GGTA1 and CMAH with respect to gene editing efficiency in zygotes, and transferred electroporated embryos with the optimized gRNAs and Cas9 into recipient gilts. Next, we optimized the Cas9 protein concentration with respect to the gene editing efficiency when GGTA1, CMAH, and B4GALNT2 were targeted simultaneously, and generated gene-edited pigs using the optimized conditions. We achieved the one-step generation of GGTA1/CMAH double-edited pigs and GGTA1/CMAH/B4GALNT2 triple-edited pigs. Immunohistological analyses demonstrated the downregulation of xenoantigens; however, these multiple gene-edited pigs were genetic mosaics that failed to knock out some xenoantigens. Although mosaicism should be resolved, the electroporation technique could become a primary method for the one-step generation of multiple gene modifications in pigs aimed at improving pig-to-human xenotransplantation.  相似文献

As a soft and flexible porous structure, a pore array of a steroid cyclophane SC(OH), which consists of the rigid 1,6,20,25-tetraaza[6.1.6.1]paracyclophane ring connected to four steroid moieties (cholic acid) through flexible L-lysine spacers, was prepared at the air-water interface. As confirmed by surface pressure (π)-molecular area (A) isotherms, transition between open conformation and cavity conformation of the SC(OH) molecule was reversibly induced upon repeated compression and expansion of its monolayer at pH 11 where amino groups of the lysine residues are not fully deprotonated. Capture and release of an aqueous fluorescent guest (TNS) by SC(OH) was observed upon dynamic cavity formation through surface fluorescence spectroscopy. At pH 12, dynamic cavity formation of SC(OH) was sufficiently suppressed, and the capture and release of an aqueous TNS by the monolayer was not virtually observed. Lessened electrostatic repulsion between the SC(OH) molecules due to conversion of ammonium to free amine may prevent the cavity from reopening. The importance of dynamic nature of cavity formation on the guest binding was also proved by control experiments using SC(H), which cannot form cavity conformation at any surface pressures at both pH 11 and 12.  相似文献

The catalytic dehydro-aromatization reaction over Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst was drastically stabilized by the co-addition of 5.4% H2 and 1.8% H2O to methane feed at 750 °C, 0.3 MPa and methane space velocity of 3000 mL g−1 h−1, suppressing the coke formation effectively, compared with single hydrogen or steam addition.  相似文献
