钢衬钢筋混凝土岔管在高水头电站的应用

在高水头水电站明岔管设计中 ,由于岔管的钢管壁较厚 ,给岔管的制作带来很大的困难。为此在大七孔电站钢岔管设计时 ,借鉴国内的钢衬钢筋混凝土管技术的经验 ,采用了钢衬钢筋混凝土岔管。解决了高水头岔管的设计及施工难题     

Hydrolysis of 4-methylumbelliferyl butyrate: A convenient and sensitive fluorescent assay for lipase activity

A rapid, sensitive and convenient fluorescent assay was developed to screen for lipase activity. The non-fluorescent substrate, 4-methylumbelliferyl butyrate (4-MUB), solubilized in either liposomal dispersions or bile salt/lecithin mixed micelles, is hydrolyzed to butyric acid and the highly fluorescent compound, 4-methylumbelliferone (4-MU). Assays are run at 37 C for 10 min, terminated, and the changes in fluorescence quantitated with a Turner III fluorometer. Both lingual and pancreatic lipases exhibit activity against this artificial substrate. The assay has several advantages: nmoles 4 MU/ml/hr are measured allowing the detection of very low lipolytic activity; multiple samples may be simultaneously assayed, and only a brief incubation period is required.     

The influence of food intake and ambient temperature on the rate of thyroxine utilization

Young growing pigs of both sexes were subjected to changes in (1) energy intake, (2) ambient temperature, and (3) bulk of food. The rate of disappearance of injected 125I-labelled thyroxine from the plasma (K) was measured. An analysis of variance revealed that the effect attributable to changes in the energy content of the food intake was statistically significant (P less 0-01). A change in ambient temperature had no statistically significant effect on K, nor did a change in the bulk of food when energy intake was constant (P less than 0-05).

鱼塘水电站溢洪道混凝土共计14.9万m3,由于受不良地质和洪水冲毁围堰等因素影响致使开挖结束时工期严重滞后,而整个电站安全度汛又迫在眉睫,故必须寻求加快溢洪道混凝土浇筑速度的办法。为此,采用国内首批HBT120A三级配混凝土输送泵作为混凝土主要的入仓手段,使施工进度明显加快,弥补了原已滞后的工期,保证了鱼塘水电站溢洪道工程安全度汛目标的实现,并为2005年9月底水库下闸蓄水目标的实现奠定了坚实的基础。本文主要介绍HBT120A三级配混凝土输送泵在该工程施工中的应用。     

Fibrinolytic therapy with low-dose recombinant tissue plasminogen activator in retinal vein occlusion

In a retrospective study the outcome of patients treated by the Kapandji-Sauvé procedure was evaluated. In the period from 1989 to 1993, 18 patients were operated. The arthrodesis of the distal radioulnar joint was performed by a dorsoulnar incision using one screw. A 2 cm long segment of the ulna was resected. Indications for Kapandji-Sauvé procedures were in 12 cases deformities subsequent to wrist fractures, in three cases osteoarthrosis of the distal radioulnar joint, in two cases Madelung's deformity and in one case Kienb?ck's disease. The mean follow-up time was 5.1 years (range 3 to 7 years). There was one case of reossification, which required reoperation. No other complications were seen. An excellent result was obtained in seven patients, a good result in nine patients, one patient showed satisfactory and one poor results. Grip strength was normal in six cases, reduced up to 20% in seven cases and reduced up to 50% in five cases. 13 patients returned to their previous occupation. 12 patients showed a range of pronation-supination of more than 150 degrees. There was no correlation between X-ray findings and clinical outcome in patients.     

A comprehensive computer simulation of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics

A computer simulation program for pharmacokinetics has been further developed so as to include metabolic schemes for the 9 drugs at present included. The fate of a drug in a human subject is comprehensively represented and the quantitative effects of many factors on this fate may be assessed. The establishment of the simulations from experimental data is outlined and the applications of the program are discussed.     

Computer evaluation of network S parameters

The letter describes a technique for evaluating the scattering parameters of a network by the use of a standard nodal-circuit-analysis program.     

Impact Assessment of a Microprocessor Animation on Student Learning and Motivation in Computer Engineering

This paper reports on the impact of using custom animation software to teach second/third year computer/electrical engineering students in the microprocessing systems course at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Over the span of 13 years' experience with teaching the course, the difficulties and limitations with conventional lectures and visual aids led to the development of custom animation of the course material to provide an additional teaching modality to teach the complex and abstract subject matter more effectively. The custom animation software consists of the ability to create and/or modify microinstructions, create and/or modify macroinstructions, and animate the execution of instructions (using the "water-flowing through pipes" analogy) by showing address and data transmission juxtaposed against an animated clock. A postunit, mixed method survey administered to students reveals substantial cognitive gains and modest motivational outcomes, reinforcing the animation's effectiveness and sparking motivation for further research
