The main objective of this study was to compare the spouted bed and microwave assisted spouted bed drying on affecting physical properties of parboiled wheat and bulgur. Drying was performed at different temperatures (50 °C, 70 °C, 90 °C) and microwave powers (288 W, 624 W). Bulk and apparent density, bulk and apparent porosity, sphericity, color, microstructure and pore size distribution of parboiled wheat were investigated after drying. Yield and water absorption capacity were determined in bulgur samples. The effect of air temperature on physical properties of product except color was not significant in spouted bed drying. More porous structure was observed in wheat samples dried in microwave assisted spouted bed compared to air dried ones. Sphericity and bulk density were higher when high temperature was combined with high microwave power. In microwave assisted spouted bed drying, similar yield value but lower water absorption capacity of bulgur were observed as compared to spouted bed drying.  相似文献

Geothermal energy is already in the form of heat, and from the thermodynamic point of view, work is more useful than heat because not all heat can be converted to work. Therefore, geothermal resources should be classified according to their exergy, which is a measure of their ability to do work. In recent years there has been a remarkable growth of interest in environmental issues—sustainability and improved management of development in harmony with the environment. Environmental impact assessment is one of the most widely used tools in environmental management. In this study, the environmental and exergetic aspects of geothermal energy, namely the rapid impact assessment matrix method, and, specific exergy index, were studied first. They were then applied to the Tuzla geothermal field in Canakkale and Balcova geothermal field in Izmir, Turkey, respectively. Finally, the results obtained are given and discussed.  相似文献

A new tetrakis 4‐(2,5‐di‐2‐thiophen‐2‐yl‐pyrrol‐1‐yl) substituted nickel phthalocyanine (NiPc‐SNS) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared (FT‐IR), and UV–vis spectroscopies. The electrochemical polymerization of this newly synthesized NiPc‐SNS was performed in dichloromethane (DCM)/tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) solvent/electrolyte couple. An insoluble film was deposited on the electrode surface, both during repetitive cycling and constant potential electrolysis at 0.85 V. Resulting polymer film, P(NiPc‐SNS), was characterized utilizing UV–vis and FT‐IR spectroscopic techniques and its electrochemical behavior was investigated via cyclic voltammetry (CV). Spectroelectrochemical behavior of the polymer film on indium tin oxide (ITO) working electrode was investigated by recording the electronic absorption spectra, in situ, in monomer‐free electrolytic solution at different potentials and it is found that the P(NiPc‐SNS) film can be reversibly cycled between 0.0 and 1.1 V and exhibits electrochromic behavior; dark olive green in the neutral and dark blue in the oxidized states with a switching time of 1.98 s. Furthermore, the band gap of P(NiPc‐SNS) was calculated as 2.27 eV from the onset of π–π* transition of the conjugated backbone. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2011  相似文献

We report herein the synthesis and full characterizations of the first examples of gallium complexes based on “privileged” aminobisphenolate ligands which are easily available. These complexes turned out to be extremely active in the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone even at room temperature and highly active in the ROP of L-lactide. The combination of factors such as the easy availability of these compounds and the supposedly low toxicity, together with the extremely high activity in ROP, allows us to consider these compounds as suitable for use on an industrial scale for the synthesis of biodegradable polymers for biomedical applications.  相似文献

Our paper explores the issue of how to provide appropriate quality of service mechanisms closely integrated with flexible mobility management in wireless local area networks. We consider them as access networks of choice for the high performance Wireless Mobile Internet. We present a hierarchical QoS architecture that extends Differentiated Services (DiffServ) to mobile hosts in a wireless environment. Our approach is based on controlling several parameters of a wireless LAN cell: the limited geographical span to ensure the same high bit rate for all hosts, the constrained rate of traffic sources to limit the use of the channel in function of the required QoS and the limited number of active hosts to keep the load sufficiently low. The QoS management is coupled with mobility management at the IP level. We use a micro-mobility scheme implemented in the IPv6 layer with fast hand-offs between adjacent cells. Micro-mobility avoids address translation, traffic tunneling, and enables fast hand-offs. We give some details of experiments to show the quality of service differentiation over the 802.11b network.  相似文献

Magnetic resonance imaging-derived entorhinal and hippocampal volumes were measured in 14 nondemented, community-dwelling older adults. Participants were selected so that memory scores from 2 years prior to scanning varied widely but were not deficient relative to age-appropriate norms. A median split of these memory scores defined high-memory and low-memory groups. Verbal memory scores at the time of imaging were lower, and entorhinal and hippocampal volumes were smaller, in the low-memory group than in the high-memory group. Left entorhinal cortex volume showed the strongest correlation (r=.79) with immediate recall of word lists. Left hippocampal volume showed the strongest correlation (r=.57) with delayed paragraph recall. These results suggest that entorhinal and hippocampal volumes are related to individual differences in dissociable kinds of memory performance among healthy older adults. Sulfonation degree determination of sulfonated polystyrene and the corresponding ionomers are performed by adiabatic bomb calorimeter. The theoretical calculations from the band energies for the combustion enthalpy values (calorific values) and the experimental values are compared, and a linear relation between the values is found. Sulfonation and neutralization processes are examined by elemental sulfur analysis and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). It was obvious that increasing sulfonation degree yields a decrease in the combustion enthalpy values, as it is expected from the theoretical calculations. In addition, metal ion incorporation to the structure deviates the experimental combustion enthalpy values especially for the ionomers which have higher sulfonation degrees. In this work, the effects of shear rate on viscosity of selected pure food grade oils (castor and canola) are investigated. The rheological behavior of castor–canola oil mixture is also studied through modeling the experimental data. The effect of shear rate on the variation of viscosity was clearly observed. Interpretations of the results from rheological models indicate that these food grade oils belong to pseudo‐plastic category. The results also show that among the six used mixing rules, Grunberg–Nissan model seems very well fitted to the experimental data.  相似文献

Abstract

Wound dressings are very useful materials for accelerating the wound healing process. In this study, nanofibrous wound dressings were produced from blending solution of Poly-lactic acid(PLA)/Chitosan(C)/Starch(S)/Zinc oxide(Z) by electrospinning method. Morphology, chemical interaction, mechanical, water uptake and weight loss tests were performed on each samples. Moreover, the biocompatibility of primary dermal fibroblast (ATCC, PCS-201-012) on prepared wound dressings was investigated with MTT assays in vitro, and the samples were found suitable for cell viability and proliferation. These results suggest that produced nanofibrous wound dressings can be promising candidate for wound dressing applications.  相似文献

The impact of early therapeutic alliance was examined in 100 clients receiving either individual cognitive- behavioral therapy (CBT) or family therapy for adolescent substance abuse. Observational ratings of adolescent alliance in CBT and adolescent and parent alliance in family therapy were used to predict treatment retention (in CBT only) and outcome (drug use, externalizing, and internalizing symptoms in both conditions) at post and 6-month follow-up. There were no alliance effects in CBT. In family therapy, stronger parent alliance predicted declines in drug use and externalizing. Adolescents with weak early alliances that subsequently improved by midtreatment showed significantly greater reductions in externalizing than adolescents whose alliances declined. Results underscore the need for ongoing developmental calibration of intervention theory and practice for adolescent clinical populations.
