The ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone initiated with a divalent samarium bis(phosphido) complex [Sm(PPh2)2] is reported. The polymerization proceeded under mild reaction conditions and resulted in polyesters with number‐average molecular weights of 8.2 × 103 to 12.5 × 103. The yield and molecular weight of poly(ε‐caprolactone)s were dependent on the experimental parameters, such as the monomer/initiator molar ratio, the monomer concentration, the reaction temperature, and the polymerization time. The obtained polymers were characterized with Fourier transform infrared, NMR, gel permeation chromatography, and differential scanning calorimetry. On the basis of an end‐group analysis of low‐molecular‐weight polymers by NMR spectroscopy, a coordination–insertion mechanism is proposed for the polymerization. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. With anionic waterborne polyurethane (WPU) as a plasticizer and ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (EGDE) as a crosslinker, we successfully prepared crosslinked soy protein isolate (SPI) plastics. Anionic WPU was mixed with SPI and EGDE in an aqueous dispersion at room temperature. The mixed aqueous dispersion was cast and cured, and the obtained material was pickled and hot‐pressed to produce the crosslinked SPI/WPU sheets. The resulting sheets containing about 60 wt % SPI were characterized with infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, dynamic mechanical analysis, and tensile testing, and biodegradation testing of the sheets was performed in a mineral salt medium containing microorganisms. The results revealed that the crosslinked SPI/WPU plastics with EGDE concentrations of 2–4 wt % possessed high miscibility, good mechanical properties, and water resistivity. In addition, the crosslinked sheets could be biodegraded, and the half‐life of the biodegradation for a sheet crosslinked with 3 wt % EGDE was calculated to be less than 1 month. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Liquid dynamics plays an essential role in glass formation.Here we observed a distinct change of liquid dynamics in Gd55Co20Al25 metallic glass induced by microalloying Si element.In the equilibrium melt,minor Si(0.5 at.%)addition leads to a more fragile liquid behavior and a smaller strength of liquid-liquid transition with the transition strength(ΔF)decreasing from 0.76 to 0.35.However,in the supercooled liquid,Si-doped liquid exhibits a remarkable enhanced fragile-to-strong transition(FST),and the value of FST factor f increases sharply from 1.63 to 3.84,resulting in a stronger liquid behavior and more sluggish crystallization kinetics for Gd55Co20Al24.5Si0.5 metallic glass.Moreover,minor Si addition promotes the formation of a crystal-like structure with a size of 1-2 nm.The interactions between the crystal-like structures and other local favored clusters frustrate the further growth of crystal-like phases,thus sta-bilizes the amorphous structure.As a result,the glass-forming ability(GFA)was largely improved.The critical diameter of Gd55Co20Al25 metallic glass increased from 2 to 7 mm with 0.5 at.%Si addition with-out deterioration of the magnetocaloric effect.This study provides valuable insight for understanding the distinct effect of microalloying on GFA of metallic glasses from the aspect of the evolution of the liquid.  相似文献

In this article, α-NaYF4 nanocubes were synthesized with a simple and environmentally friendly method at room temperature. The structure and morphology of the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The influence of the F?/Y3+ molar ratio on the morphology of the products was examined. The products changed from spherical nanocrystals to cubic nanocrystals when the F?/Y3+ molar ratio gradually increased from 4:1 to 16:1, and excessive F? ions were necessary for the formation of regular NaYF4 nanocubes in our synthesis procedure. The formation process of these α-NaYF4 nanocrystals was traced via time-dependent experiments. Several nanometer-sized NaYF4 nanocrystals changed into 100 nm sized NaYF4 nanocrystals with prolonging of the reaction time. Additionally, the photoluminescence properties of Eu3+-doped samples were investigated. The excitation spectrum consists of the characteristic absorption peaks of Eu3+ corresponding to the direct excitation from the europium f-electrons. The charge-transfer band of Eu3+–F? is not present in our measured range. The 5D0 → 7F1 transition is much stronger than the 5D0 → 7F2 transition in our samples.  相似文献

Paraxial propagation of a linearly polarised twisted Gaussian Schell-model (TGSM) beam in a uniaxial crystal is investigated. With the help of a tensor method, an analytical formula for the cross-spectral density (CSD) of a TGSM beam propagating in a uniaxial crystal orthogonal to the optical axis is derived. The evolution properties of the intensity distribution, the coherence widths and the twist factor of a TGSM beam in a uniaxial crystal are illustrated numerically. It is shown that the TGSM beam becomes an anisotropic TGSM beam in a uniaxial crystal and its evolution properties are closely related with its initial coherence, twist factor and the parameters of the crystal. The uniaxial crystal provides an effective way for modulating the properties of a TGSM beam, which will be useful in some applications, such as free-space optical communications and nonlinear optics, where a partially coherent beam with controlled beam profile and twist factor is required.  相似文献

Poly(methyl methacrylate)–CuO microspheric particles with core–shell structure were synthesized by a chemical solution process within Cu(NO3)2/NH3·H2O reaction system. The composition and microstructure of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. It showed that the shell was constructed by leaf-like CuO grains with the length of 500–800 nm. UV–vis absorbance spectra of the samples exhibited novel wide adsorption band in ultraviolet region.  相似文献

Nitrogen‐doped graphene (NG) with wrinkled and bubble‐like texture is fabricated by a thermal treatment. Especially, a novel sonication‐assisted pretreatment with nitric acid is used to further oxidize graphene oxide and its binding with melamine molecules. There are many bubble‐like nanoflakes with a dimension of about 10 nm appeared on the undulated graphene nanosheets. The bubble‐like texture provides more active sites for effective ion transport and reversible capacitive behavior. The specific surface area of NG (5.03 at% N) can reach up to 438.7 m2 g?1, and the NG electrode demonstrates high specific capacitance (481 F g?1 at 1 A g?1, four times higher than reduced graphene oxide electrode (127.5 F g?1)), superior cycle stability (the capacitance retention of 98.9% in 2 m KOH and 99.2% in 1 m H2SO4 after 8000 cycles), and excellent energy density (42.8 Wh kg?1 at power density of 500 W kg?1 in 2 m KOH aqueous electrolyte). The results indicate the potential use of NG as graphene‐based electrode material for energy storage devices.  相似文献

The properties of epitaxial Bi(2)FeCrO(6) thin films, recently synthesized by pulsed laser deposition, have partially confirmed the theoretical predictions (i.e., a magnetic moment of 2 micro(B) per formula unit and a polarization of approximately 80 microC/cm(2) at 0 K). The existence of magnetic ordering at room temperature for this material is an unexpected, but very promising, result that needs to be further investigated. Because magnetism is assumed to arise from the exchange interaction between the Fe and Cr cations, the magnetic behavior is strongly dependent on both their ordering and the distance between them. We present here the successful synthesis of epitaxial Bi(2)Fe(x)CryO(6) (BFCO x/y) films grown on SrTiO3 substrates using dual crossed-beam, pulsed-laser deposition. The crystal structure of the films has different types of (111)-oriented superstructures, depending on the deposition conditions. The multiferroic character of BFCO (x/y) films is proven by the presence of both ferroelectric and magnetic hysteresis at room temperature. The oxidation state of Fe and Cr ions in the films is shown to be 3+ only, and the difference in macroscopic magnetization with Fe/Cr ratio composition could only be due to ordering of the Cr(3+) and Fe(3+) cations to the modification of the exchange interaction between them.  相似文献

The proper balancing of geographically distributed task schedules and the associated workforce distributions are critical determinants of productivity in any people-centric production environment. The paper has investigated the cross-trained workers scheduling problem considering the qualified personal allocation and temporally cooperation of engineers simultaneously. A 0–1 programming model is developed and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II) is adopted to deal with the NP-hard problem. In order to enforce the NSGA-II, significant improvements are made to function the approach in a more efficient way. It is observed that the improved NSGA-II outperforms the original NSGA-II in the experimental test. The promising outcomes of the formulation in the experiment make its implementation easily customisable and transferable for solving other intricate problems in the context of skilled workforce scheduling. Furthermore, the modified NSGA II can be used as an efficient and effective tool for other multiobjective optimisation problems.  相似文献
