The relative yield of delayed neutrons and the half-life of their precursor nuclei in fissioning of 233U, 235U, and 239Pu by epithermal neutrons are measured on a setup which is based on a KG-2.5 electrostatic accelerator. The experimental samples are irradiated in a polyethylene cube, one face of which is irradiated by a neutron beam consisting of T(p, n)3He neutrons. A procedure is developed for averaging the group parameters of delayed neutrons from different series of measurements, taking account of their correlation. A comparative analysis of the data of this work and in ENDF/BVI in terms of the average half-life of the precursor nuclei of the delayed neutrons and using the dependence of the reactivity on the asymptotic period of the reactor is performed.It is shown that the data of this work agree, to within the uncertainty limits, with the recommended experimental data and differ substantially from the ENDF/BVI data. 相似文献

In order to know the limit of validity of the concept of hydrical diffusivity, DW, we tried to validate the Boltzmann's method used to identify it. We show that for a medium strictly satisfying the equation of diffusion, the method gives quite good results with nevertheless some inaccuracies for the extreme values of water contents. For the real studied material, a backed clay, its identification becomes more difficult because of the dispersion of the wetting phenomenon observed for different specimens of the same material. We are showing that the mean behaviour of one sample is near to be the same as the more probable behaviour of all the samples. Otherwise the values of DW determined for a wetting cannot be used to describe a drying process. It practical interest is then considerably reduced. In order to test the influence of the gas phase pressure effects on the behaviour of the material, we have determined all the parameters necessary to describe, numerically, wetting and drying processes without to resort to DW. We noticed an overpressure of the gas phase inside the material due to drying. If the gas pressure effects are, numerically, switched off, we cannot notice any influence on water content profiles for this type of material. 相似文献

The present paper focuses on analysis of radiological hazard of spallation products that appears to be an important factor that might affect the choice of beam/target performance in designing the accelerator-driven systems. Thirty-seven patients, comprising 24 familial cases and 13 isolated patients with Usher syndrome type II (USH2), underwent ophthalmologic examination. Based on the degree of hearing loss, normal vestibular function, and gene-linkage analysis, familial cases were assumed to have USH2A. An analysis of genetic heterogeneity failed to reveal the presence of a second locus in the Dutch population. Although the patients appear to belong to a genetically homogeneous group, remarkable ophthalmologic variability was found. Corrected visual acuity decreased with age and remarkable differences in visual acuity were found within one family. Fundoscopic findings were classified as type A if attenuated vessels and bone corpuscles in all quadrants were found or as type B if findings other than these were found. We propose a cycle nonproportionality coefficient for a broad class of complex cyclic paths, allowing us to establish a clear relationship between the geometry of the strain path and the maximum hardening level attainable in the material in the steady state for a fixed value of the maximum plastic or total strain range. We discuss the effectiveness of using the proposed cycle nonproportionality coefficient compared with analogous parameters familiar from the literature.
