The relationship between childhood onychophagia (fingernail biting) and the suicidal and nonsuicidal mean age among 150 hospitalized psychotic veterans was investigated. The results show that the suicidal mean age is significantly younger than the nonsuicidal mean age and that the childhood onychophagia variable "focal suicide" significantly lowers the mean age of suicidal veterans, but does not significantly lower the mean age of nonsuicidal veterans.  相似文献

A series of MoO3/SiO2 catalysts was prepared by an impregnation method with Mo loadings ranging from 1 to 50 wt%. The original and calcined samples at 400 °C were characterized by thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermogravimetry (DTG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infra‐red (FTIR) spectroscopy, and nitrogen adsorption measurements. The surface acidity and basicity of the catalysts were investigated by the dehydration–dehydrogenation of isopropanol and the chemisorption of pyridine. The catalytic esterification of acetic acid with ethanol was carried out at 220 °C in a conventional fixed‐bed reactor at 1 atm using air as a carrier gas. The results clearly revealed that silica–molybdena catalysts were active and selective towards the formation of ethyl acetate. Moreover, the catalyst containing 20 wt% MoO3 was the most active and selective one. The results emphasize the importance of the surface acid sites together with the specific surface area of the prepared catalyst, towards ester formation. Cyclizations of Cyanothioacetamide in the Presence of Sulphur Cyanothioacetoamide 1 reacts with sulphur in the presence of triethylamine to form the 2,5-diamino-thiophene derivative 3 and in the presence of sodium ethoxide the 1,4-dihydropyridine derivative 2 , respectively. 3 easily undergoes ring opening to yield the butadiene derivative 6 . Catalyzed by amine from 1 , cyclic ketones, and sulphur the 2-spiro[thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-4-thiones] 8 arise. Analogously to other cyanoacetic acid derivatives 1 react with sulphur and isothiocyanates to form the 4-amino-Δ4-thiazoline-2-thiones 9 and with sulphur and carbon disulfide to yield the 5-amino-1,2-dithiol-3-thione derivative 12 . Among the o-amino-thiocarboxamides 3 , 9 , 12 the compounds 3 and 9 can be converted into the 5,6-heterocondensed pyrimidine-4-thiones 4 and 10 .  相似文献

The investigation of the biochemical composition of pollen grains is of the utmost interest for several environmental aspects, such as their allergenic potential and their changes in growth conditions due to climatic factors. In order to fully understand the composition of pollen grains, not only is an in-depth analysis of their molecular components necessary but also spatial information of, e.g., the thickness of the outer shell, should be recorded. However, there is a lack of studies using molecular imaging methods for a spatially resolved biochemical composition on a single-grain level. In this study, Raman spectroscopy was implemented as an analytical tool to investigate birch pollen by imaging single pollen grains and analyzing their spectral profiles. The imaging modality allowed us to reveal the layered structure of pollen grains based on the biochemical information of the recorded Raman spectra. Seven different birch pollen species collected at two different locations in Germany were investigated and compared. Using chemometric algorithms such as hierarchical cluster analysis and multiple-curve resolution, several components of the grain wall, such as sporopollenin, as well as the inner core presenting high starch concentrations, were identified and quantified. Differences in the concentrations of, e.g., sporopollenin, lipids and proteins in the pollen species at the two different collection sites were found, and are discussed in connection with germination and other growth processes.  相似文献
