Methodology was developed for the synthesis of novel 2-substituted o-nitrobenzyl chromophores, which were derivatized as the tosylate esters. The thermal stabilities of these new tosylates fell within the range predicted from an empirical model. Lithographic sensitivities of deep UV resists made from these new esters and poly(4-(tert-butoxycarbonyloxy)styrene-sulfone) ranged from 45 to 90 mJ/cm2. 相似文献

The tunabilities of both the wavelength and the pulse-width of monolithic mode-locked semiconductor lasers are demonstrated. Pulses shorter than 1.6 ps, tunable over 8.8 mu m, have been generated by a temperature-tuned monolithic colliding pulse mode-locked (CPM) quantum-well laser. For a fixed wavelength, the pulse-width is independently controlled from 1.2 ps to longer than 3 ps by external bandpass filters. Very-low-transmission line noise of <0.25 dB at 18 GHz and low power loss /spl les/0.6 dB at 110 GHz have been measured on transmission lines fabricated on proton-implanted Si. In contrast, a standard Si substrate gave much higher noise of 2.5 dB and worse power loss of 5 dB. The good RF integrity of proton-implanted Si results from the high isolation impedance to ground, as analyzed by an equivalent circuit model. The proton implantation is also done after forming the transmission lines at a reduced implantation energy of /spl sim/4 MeV. This paper shows the development of a series of closed-form solutions of equal strain consolidation in the presence of a vertical drain with smear and well resistance. Using an approach that considers the effects of both the radial and vertical drainage in a fully coupled fashion, solutions are obtained for the excess pore pressure and the degree of consolidation in the compressible soil subjected to a step- or ramp-loading situation. Laboratory ultraviolet (UV) chambers are widely used to obtain weathering data for a wide range of commercial polymer products
including coatings, textiles, elastomers, plastics, and polymeric composites. Although numerous improvements have been made
in the design of UV chambers over the last 80 years, the reproducibility of the exposure results from these chambers has remained
elusive. This lack of reproducibility is attributed to systematic errors in their design, operation, and control which prevent
direct comparisons of the performance of materials exposed in the same environment, comparisons of the performance of the
same material exposed in different laboratories, and the comparison of field and laboratory results. This paper describes
an innovative UV chamber design based on integrating sphere technology that greatly reduces the magnitude of these errors,
as well as provides additional experimental capabilities.
