A questionnaire was used to assess college students' ideologies concerning the use of reciprocation for self-gain. Two independent dimensions were found involving beliefs that (a) returning greater help than previously received will result in generous repayments (creditor ideology) and (b) caution in returning help is required to avoid being taken advantage of (reciprocation wariness). The students subsequently took part in a bargaining situation with a partner who possessed low resources or high resources and who was programmed to give a small proportion or a large proportion of those resources. Students who possessed a strong creditor ideology returned greater resources to two kinds of partners: a partner with high resources who acted stingily and a partner with low resources who acted generously. Students with high reciprocation wariness showed reduced responsiveness to their partner's generosity, returning relatively less to a generous partner and more to a stingy partner. The results indicate that individuals differ systematically in their ideology and behavior involving the use of reciprocation for self-gain. Polyaromatic ether-ketones with various inherent viscosities were prepared and their thermal properties and stress–strain relationships were studied. It was found that the polymer should have an inherent viscosity greater than 0.8 in order to give flexible films, but there was no difference in thermal and stress–strain properties among polymers with viscosities greater than 0.8. Values of 110 MPa and 13% are considered to be the standard values of tensile strength and elongation, respectively, for these polyaromatic ether-ketones. The crosslinking effects on these properties were also studied, using polymers containing 1 and 5 mol % of crosslinkable biphenylene units, but no significant changes in the properties due to crosslinking were observed.  相似文献

Partial reduction of bulk CuAlO2 results in hierarchical structures wherein there are copper‐alumina regions with widely differing morphologies and scale. At the finest level, the distribution of the 2 phases is at the nanoscale. By means of atomic resolution STEM and electron diffraction, the nanocomposite regions were shown to consist of a dense array of metallic copper platelets dispersed in a matrix of θ‐Al2O3. The copper nanoplatelets were single crystal, and they all exhibited the same orientation relationship with the matrix, namely [110]Cu//[010]θ‐Al2O3, (111)Cu//()θ‐Al2O3. It was shown that the 2‐phase regions where the copper exhibited a significantly coarser, globular morphology, resulted from discontinuous coarsening. Interestingly, a change in the matrix phase from θ‐ to δ‐alumina was also observed as a result of the coarsening reaction. It is believed that in the nanocomposite regions, the θ‐alumina phase was stabilized by the lower interfacial energy between the copper (110) platelets and the matrix.  相似文献

Twenty-seven schizophrenia spectrum patients and 25 healthy controls performed a probabilistic version of the serial reaction time task (SRT) that included sequence trials embedded within random trials. Patients showed diminished, yet measurable, sequence learning. Postexperimental analyses revealed that a group of patients performed above chance when generating short spans of the sequence. This high-generation group showed SRT learning that was similar in magnitude to that of controls. Their learning was evident from the very 1st block; however, unlike controls, learning did not develop further with continued testing. A subset of 12 patients and 11 controls performed the SRT in conjunction with positron emission tomography. High-generation performance, which corresponded to SRT learning in patients, correlated to activity in the premotor cortex and parahippocampus. These areas have been associated with stimulus-driven visuospatial processing. Taken together, these results suggest that a subset of patients who showed moderate success on the SRT used an explicit stimulus-driven strategy to process the sequential stimuli. This adaptive strategy facilitated sequence learning but may have interfered with conventional implicit learning of the overall stimulus pattern.
