With the goal of improving the physico-chemical performance of fish gelatin-based films, composite films were prepared with increasing concentrations of chitosan (Ch) (100G:0Ch, 80G:20Ch, 70G:30Ch, 60G:40Ch and 0G:100Ch, gelatin:Ch), and some of their main physical and functional properties were characterised. The results indicated that the addition of Ch caused significant increase (p < 0.05) in the tensile strength (TS) and elastic modulus, leading to stronger films as compared with gelatin film, but significantly (p < 0.05) decreased the elongation at break. Ch drastically reduced the water vapour permeability (WVP) and solubility of gelatin films, as this decline for the blend film with a 60:40 ratio has been of about 50% (p < 0.05). The light barrier measurements present low values of transparency at 600 nm of the gelatin–chitosan films, indicating that films are very transparent while they have excellent barrier properties against UV light. The structural properties investigated by FTIR and DSC showed a clear interaction between fish gelatin and Ch, forming a new material with enhanced mechanical properties. 相似文献

In recent years, Denmark boosted investments in renewable energy and electrification of transportation. The Danish Agenda proposed that all primary energy consumption will be covered by renewable sources such as wind, biomass and solar by 2050. These changes require significant investment and re-thinking of entire energy infrastructures and types of consumption. The Agenda also suggested, among other things, improving the efficiency of energy systems.In this paper, the interactions between charging an electric car and an innovative cogeneration system for household application (micro-solid oxide fuel cell with an integrated heating system) are investigated. The charge of the electric car by the cogenerator produces waste heat that can be used to partially cover the heat demand of the house. In this way it may be possible to increase overall efficiency and decrease total energy costs. Different innovative strategies are proposed and analyzed to manage charging an electric car and efficiently using the waste heat available. The aims of this study are to make the system grid-independent, to decrease the thermal stress of SOFCs and to determine the nominal power of an integrated heating system. The results show energy efficiency and economic profitability of the system, even if subsidies are not included. 相似文献

The effect of high‐frequency (1.7 MHz) ultrasound waves on the mixing rate in a new continuous tubular sonoreactor was investigated by CFD modeling. Modeling of piezoelectric transducer (PZT) vibrations was done based on the dynamic mesh model. Results indicate that the acoustic streams were in the direction of wave propagation and their maximum velocity near the PZT surface agreed well with experimental measurements. The micromixing efficiency of the sonoreactor was studied by adopting the Villermaux/Dushman reaction in the modeling. The effect of bed-load transport on flow resistance of alluvial channels with undulated bed was experimentally investigated.
The experiments were carried out in a tilting flume 250mm wide and 12.5m long with glass-sides of rectangular cross-section
and artificial dune shaped floor that was made from Plexi-glass. Steady flow of clear as against sediment-laden water with
different flow depths and velocities were studied in the experiments with a fine sand (d

50 = 2.84 mm) can decrease the friction factor by 32% and 39% respectively for smooth and rough beds. The decrease in flow resistance
is due to filling up of the troughs of dunes. This separation zone is responsible for increasing the flow resistance. On the
upstream side of dunes condition is similar to plane bed. Presence of bed-load causes to increase the shear velocity and hence
increasing flow resistance. But decreasing in flow resistance is more and it causes to decrease the total flow resistance.

Carbon capture and storage from flue gases is the most common method to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Using a primary amine as the solvent of CO2 capture unit is popular because of its high activity and ability to be used for streams with low concentration and low partial pressure of CO2. Monoethanolamine(MEA) and Diglycolamine(DGA) are the most common kinds of primary amines which have been traditionally used in many natural gas sweetening plants. In this research, the capture plant has been designed for these two solvents at various CO2 concentrations in the feed flue gas. This paper proposes different possible alters to overcome the high energy requirements of capture plant. It also presents the results of technical evaluation of different parameters, in order to design an actual plant with minimum energy requirement. The results of different parameters show that for DGA solvent, there will be an improvement in overall energy usage in the capture plant rather than MEA for some special cases. Two, novel, tetradentate Schiff-base ligands, namely bis-5-phenylazosalicylaldehyde diethylenetriimine and bis-5-[(4-methoxyphenyl)azo]salicylaldehyde diethylenetriimine, as well as their Cu2+, Ni2+, and VO2+ complexes, were synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, infrared and also UV–Visible spectroscopy, 1HNMR and mass spectra. The thermal stability of the free ligands and the related metal complexes, as determined using differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric analysis, were found to be thermally stable upto 240–275 °C depending on the type of ligand and the central metal atom. The λmax of the ligands and their transition metal complexes in the region 300–800 nm are discussed. The novel metal complexes offer potential for application as recording media owing to both their absorption spectra in the blue-violet light region and high thermal stability. 相似文献

In this work the response surface methodology (RSM) in conjunction with the central composite design (CCD) were used to optimize the activity of CaO/Al2O3 solid catalysts for the production of biodiesel. In order to measure the catalyst activity, we used palm oil as a representative raw material for the conversion to biodiesel. The biodiesel production was carried out in a batch laboratory scale reactor. The results showed that both the calcination temperature and the amount of calcium oxide loaded on the support had significant positive effects on the biodiesel yield. The maximum basicity and biodiesel yield obtained were about 194 μmol/g and 94%, respectively. Overall, the catalyst showed high performance at moderate operating conditions and its activity was maintained after two cycles. 相似文献

This paper investigates the hydrodynamic behavior of gas–solid two-phase flow in the annular space of an air drilling well under different arrangements by using three-dimensional approach. Two-fluid model is used to solve the governing equations in the Eulerian–Eulerian framework. Effect of eccentricity and drill pipe rotation on the pressure drop, volume fraction and velocity profile are examined. The results are compared with available data in the literature and good agreement is found. The results show that the presence of solid particles in the annulus change the air velocity profile significantly and create two off-center peaks velocity close to the walls instead of one peak velocity in the middle. Eccentricity of drill pipe makes more accumulation of the cuttings in the smaller space of the annulus. Increasing the eccentricity increases pressure drop due to impact of particles with annulus wall and also particles collision with each other. Rotation of the drill pipe shifts maximum air velocity location toward smaller space of the annulus which results more uniform cutting distributions in the annulus and improvement in their transportations. Microelectromechanical systems are utilized alongside with transistor amplifiers and resistive connections for implementing of oscillatory associative memories. Phase locking is studied in such a network and all requirements of the circuit level implementation are satisfied. A very high gain trans-impedance amplifier operating in 1 GHz in addition to a novel automatic amplitude control circuit is employed to remove amplitude dynamics of the system. Requiring resonator characteristics are extracted and calculated as well. A new method for initialization of the network is proposed. Each neuron consumes 1.08 mW from a 1.8 V power supply. The convergence time of a typical network trained by Hebbian rule is less than 1.5 ns which results in an ultra high speed analog signal processing system. 相似文献

In this work lanthanum hydroxide nanoparticles were synthesized by sonochemical method. La2O3 nanoparticles were obtained after calcination of the La(OH)3 nanoparticles precursor in air at 600 °C for 2 h. The effect of some parameters such as concentration of precursors, pulse time of sonication, time of sonication, and addition of PEG as surfactant on the morphology and the particle size were studied. The as-prepared products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra. 相似文献
