Pump station combined control based on high-voltage electric drives

The construction of a combined system of pump-station control based on a high-voltage frequency-regulated drive and high-voltage soft-start system is described. It is shown that, using special algorithms in control systems allows one to implement a very efficient and reliable technological complex with high performance capabilities at minimal cost.     

A stationary gas analyzer of nitric and sulfur oxides

The дOΓ-04 automatic gas analyzer ensures continuous measurements of NO and SO₂ concentrations in flue gases of fuelburning installations. The instrument measures the value of the differential absorption in the UV frequency range. The measurement limits are 0–500 mg/m³ for both components. The duration of one measurement cycle is ≤ 10 s. The information on the measured concentration is shown on the display and is supplied, in the form of standard current signals with amplitudes of 0–5 mA, to external self-recorders and, in digital form, to the COM port of a computer. Periodical automatic calibration of the gas analyzer can be performed in the course of measurements.     

Automated Facility for Measuring the Maximum Pore Dimensions of Materials

A device for estimating material quality with respect to maximum pore size is suggested. Experimental dependences are presented for maximum pore size on the consumption of binder component for complex ceramic systems.     

Generation of chaotic oscillations in the experimental scheme of two cascade-coupled phase systems

Experimental data for the chaotic dynamics of two phase systems coupled in a cascade are presented. A mathematical model of the experimental scheme is developed. The system dynamics is qualitatively studied via numerical methods, including mapping of dynamic regimes. Experimental and theoretical approaches are used to show that the considered system is a generator of chaotically modulated oscillations in a broad area of the parameter space.
