Gallium arsenide varactor diodes with low series resistance (~0.25 ?) for u.h.f. t.v. tuners are developed. Uniformity and reproducibility of diode capacitance is improved markedly by using improved ion implantation and l.p.e. techniques. The standard deviation of diode capacitance distribution is 0.74% at V = 3.0 V within a wafer. A good r.f. tracking characteristic can be obtained in varactor tuners. 相似文献

The properties of butadiene–styrene copolymers and of polybutadiene–polystyrene blends were compared. Polybutadiene, polystyrene, and four copolymers having styrene contents of 20, 40, 60, and 80% were prepared. The copolymers were compared with blends having various styrene contents and prepared by means of latex blending and roll blending. Vulcanizates were prepared by three different curing methods, i.e., sulfur cure, peroxide cure, and radiation cure. The results of the benzene extraction of three vulcanizates showed that the polystyrene blended was not cured by any of the curing methods used. The properties of the vulcanizates of the copolymers were markedly different from those of the blends, i.e., in the case of the blends the properties showed a linear relationship with their blending ratio, while in the copolymers the properties showed a curvilinear relationship which had an inflection point at a styrene content of about 60%. From this phenomenon of the copolymers, it was proposed that the second-order transition point of styrene is the cause of the properties showing this peculiar point. From the results, it was found that the behavior of styrene in copolymers is essentially different from that in blends. 相似文献

No Heading We are studying the physical phenomena of superfluid thin films adsorbed on multiply connected surface of porous glasses under high speed rotation. The combination of thin superfluid 4He films on large pore porous surfaces and high-speed rotation gives rise to a new quantum vortex excitation, where vortex lines are pinned on the center of pores and have the core at the pore. This excitation has been predicted and named as a pore vortex. We are trying to measure the behavior of pore vortices using the Torsional Oscillator (TO) technique and we have succeeded in making measurements up to the high-speed rotation of 4.0 rev./s. Although the effectiveness of seat belts for reducing injury to rear seat passengers in traffic accidents has been well documented, the ratio of rear-seat passengers restrained by seatbelts remains lower than that of drivers or passengers in front seats. If passengers in rear seats do not wear seat belts, they may sustain unexpected injury to themselves when involved in accidents, and also endanger front occupants (drivers or front seat passengers). This paper focuses on the tendency of front seat occupants to sustain severer injuries due to forward movement of passengers in rear seats at the moment of frontal collisions, and evaluates the effectiveness of rear passengers' wearing seat belts in reducing injuries of front seat occupants. Since the occurrence of occupant injuries depends considerably on the crash severity, we proposed to use pseudo-delta V in regression analysis to represent velocity change during a collision when analyzing statistical accident data. As the crash severity can be estimated from pseudo-delta V, it becomes possible to make appropriate estimations even when the crash severity differs in data. The binary model derived from the ordered response model was used to evaluate the influence on the injury level based on pseudo-delta V, belted or unbelted status, gender and age. Occupants in cars with a hood in the case of car-to-car frontal collisions were extracted from the statistical data on accidents in Japan. Among 81,817 cars, where at least one passenger was present, a total of 6847 cars in which all passengers sustained injuries and which had at least one rear seat passenger aboard were analyzed. The number of killed or seriously injured drivers is estimated to decrease by around 25% if rear seat occupants come to wear seat belts. Also, the number of killed or seriously injured passengers in front seats is estimated to decrease by 28% if unbelted rear seat occupants come to wear seat belts. Thus, wearing of seat belts by previously unbelted rear seat passengers is considered effective in reducing not only injuries to the rear seat passengers themselves but also injuries to front seat occupants. 相似文献

Isophorone (ISP) is used widely as a solvent of natural and synthetic resins, wax, printing ink, pesticides and paints. In this study, the level of ISP in various foods (93 samples) was analyzed. ISP was collected from samples by steam distillation after the addition of an internal standard, deuterium-labeled ISP, then extracted with dichloromethane, cleaned up on a silica gel column, and determined by GC/MS. ISP was barely detected in fish, meat and vegetable samples, but it was detected in rice, wheat, beans and their processed products, miso, soy sauce and fermented soybeans (natto). The maximum level was 8.9 ng/g in miso. The packaging materials of the foods contained little ISP, and so the source of ISP in the foods could not be clarified. 相似文献

A 52-week study of oral-repeated-dose toxicity for the extraction powder of Gymnema sylvestre (GS), Indian-native genus, Metaplexis japonica, was conducted in both genders of Wistar rats. The rats were administered a graded dose of GS at 0.01, 0.10 and 1.00% of basal powder diet, along with a group fed solely with the basal powder diet without GS, for 52 weeks. General conditions were recorded daily. Body weights and food consumptions were recorded weekly up to 12 weeks, and thereafter at longer intervals. At 26 weeks, for an intermediate examination, and 52 weeks, for the final examination, animals were subjected to hematology, serum chemistry, and pathological examination. None of the animals died in the period up to 52 weeks. No exposure-related changes in body-weight, in the food consumption, in the hematological examinations, or in the serum biochemical examinations were recognized. No histopathological alterations were seen. Thus, it was concluded that there was no toxic effect in rats treated with GS at up to 1.00% in the diet for 52 weeks. The no-observable-effect level from this study is 1.00% GS, i.e., 504 mg/kg/day for male and 563 mg/kg/day for female as mean daily intake, for 52 weeks. 相似文献

A novel series of plasmid vectors named pDUAL have been developed. These vectors enable one to introduce not only multicopies of genes with episomal maintenance but also a single copy with chromosomal integration into the fission yeast, Schizosaccharomyces pombe. The multicopy plasmids can be easily converted to fragments for chromosomal integration by digestion of the plasmids with a certain restriction endonuclease before transformation of the yeast cells. The resultant fragments, lacking the autonomously replicating sequence, are designed for targeting into the chromosomal leu1 locus by homologous recombination. Whether the transformants are the results of episomal maintenance of the plasmid or homologous gene targeting can be readily checked by their requirement for uracil or leucine, or by the PCR diagnostic analysis. Furthermore, we propose the use of pDUAL derivatives for PCR-based chromosomal tagging of a gene to introduce several tags into 5'-terminus of a gene, employing a set of primers. Using these all-in-one vectors, a suitable mode of expression of a cloned gene can be selected for individual analysis without any complicated subcloning processes. 相似文献

We demonstrate that when a partially coherent beam with a Gaussian intensity distribution is focused by a lens, the desired partially coherent flat-topped intensity distribution or doughnut-shaped intensity distribution at the geometrical focus can be generated by choice of appropriate form of spectral degree of coherence. We provide a novel approach to beam shaping of a partially coherent beam and offer new schemes for their potential applications such as material processing, optical therapy, and optical tweezers. 相似文献

Vertical concentration profiles of atmospheric SO(2) of the order of parts in 10(9) (ppb) were measured by a multiwavelength differential absorption lidar system. The error that was due to O(3) and aerosols was successfully reduced by a three-wavelength dual differential absorption lidar (DIAL), and a SO(2) concentration of 1.2 ppb for 2400-3000-m altitude was obtained with 300-m range resolution. The measurement error in dual DIAL was estimated to be <1.1 ppb when several factors were considered. The influence of O(3) on SO(2) measurement error was experimentally evaluated from simultaneous measurements of atmospheric SO(2) and O(3) by two conventional DIAL pairs, each using two wavelengths. 相似文献

A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes which are able to communicate with each other without relying on predefined infrastructures or central administration. Due to their flexibilities and easy deployment, MANET can be applied in situation where network infrastructures are not available. However, due to their unique characteristics such as open medium and the lack of central administration, they are much more vulnerable to malicious attacks than a conventional infrastructured wireless network. MANET employs routing to provide connectivity for mobile nodes that are not within direct wireless transmission range. Existing routing protocols in MANET assume a trusted and cooperative environment. However, in hostile environment, mobile nodes are susceptible to various kinds of routing attacks. In this paper, we show that an OLSR MANET node is prone to be isolated by malicious attack called Node Isolation attack. After analysing the attack in detail, we present a technique to mitigate the impact of the attack and improve the performance of the network when the attack is launched.
