Hot-carrier aging of the MOS transistor in the presence of spin-onglass as the interlevel dielectric

The effect of introducing a polysilicate or polysiloxane spin-on glass (SOG) as a component of the interlevel dielectric in a multilevel integrated circuit on the hot-carrier aging of the MOS transistor is discussed. It was found that the presence of SOG led to accelerated aging of the MOS transistor: factors of 20 and 5 for silicate and siloxane, respectively. This effect is attributed to water absorbed in the SOG films. a correlation was found for the hot-carrier aging rate and the amount of absorbed water     

The evolution of government housing policy: The case of new south Wales 1901–41

This paper sets out the development of four main threads of housing policy in New South Wales from the latter part of the 19th century through the first 40 years of the 20th century. Following a discussion of the social and political circumstances and debate surrounding government policy regarding landlord/tenant relations, housing quality and supply, and owner occupancy, it concludes that policy evolution is irregular and a product of the exigencies of the political process. It also suggests that although government policy did little to improve the housing situation for the underprivileged, there was nevertheless a growing acceptance by both Labor and conservative parties of the increased need for government intervention in the housing market.

The superflow state of 3He-B at a diffusive wall. Quasiclassical calculations

We report on first computations considering effects of a rough wall on the counterflow state in superfluid ³He-B for high flow velocities. Using the quasiclassical Green's-function formalism supplemented by the boundary conditions for a diffusive wall, we calculate the order-parameter field and the supercurrent near a container wall for various pressures and temperatures. One of our results is that the current density at the wall as a function of the flow has a maximum at the velocity which is about half of the pair breaking velocity.     

Synthesis,Structure, and Physicochemical Properties of AI 4[UO2(CO3)3]·nH2O (AI = Li,Na, K,NH4)

Procedures for the synthesis of Li₄[UO₂(CO₃)₃]·1.5H₂O, Na₄[UO₂(CO₃)₃], K₄[UO₂(CO₃)₃], (NH₄)₄[UO₂(CO₃)₃], and K₃Na[UO₂(CO₃)₃] were optimized. The structures of these compounds and their thermolysis were studied by X-ray diffraction, precision IR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. The standard enthalpies of formation of these compounds at 298.15 K were determined by reaction calorimetry.     

Equitone Predicate Algebras and Their Applications

Predicates that preserve their values on a larger (extended) body of data are called equitone. An algebra of such predicates is constructed, a system of its generators is specified, and a complete system of transformations of identities is defined. The results obtained are used for construction and investigation of complete classes of compositions of various types and levels of abstractions that are used in logics of partial predicates.     

Metal-containing intermacromolecular complexes: Electrochemical and viscometric studies in DMF-methanol mixture

Summary Multicomponent intermacromolecular complexes have been prepared from some typical phenolic copolymers with a non-ionic polymer (e.g. PVP), and a polyelectrolyte (e.g. PAA). Some transition metal ions (e.g. Cu(II) and Ni (II)) have been incorporated in the complex through its unreacted co-ordinating groups. The formation of these complexes has been studied by several techniques, such as viscometry, conductometry, potentiometry, IR and UV spectrophotometry. A scheme has been presented to explain the mode of interaction of the various components.
