Piezoelectric thick films have increasing interest due to the potential high sensitivity and actuation force for MEMS sensors and actuators. The screen printing technique is a promising deposition technique for realizing piezoelectric thick films in the thickness range from 10–100 μm. In this work integration of a screen printed piezoelectric PZT thick film with silicon MEMS technology is shown. A high bandwidth triaxial accelerometer has been designed, fabricated and characterized. The voltage sensitivity is 0.31 mV/g in the vertical direction, 0.062 mV/g in the horizontal direction and the first mode resonance frequency is 11 kHz. A Finite Element Method (FEM) model is used to validate the measured sensitivity and resonance frequency. Good agreement between the model and the measurements is seen.  相似文献

Conventional Doppler methods for blood velocity estimation only estimate the velocity component along the ultrasound beam direction. This implies that a Doppler angle under examination close to 90° results in unreliable information about the true blood direction and blood velocity. The novel method transverse oscillation (TO), which combines estimates of the axial and the transverse velocity components in the scan plane, makes it possible to estimate the vector velocity of the blood regardless of the Doppler angle. The present study evaluates the TO method with magnetic resonance phase contrast angiography (MRA) by comparing in vivo measurements of stroke volume. Eleven healthy volunteers were included in this prospective study. From the obtained data sets recorded with the 2 modalities, vector velocity sequences were constructed and stroke volume calculated. Angle of insonation was approximately 90° for TO measurements. The correlation between the stroke volume estimated by TO and MRA was 0.91 (p < 0.01) with the equation for the line of regression: MRA = 1.1?TO-0.4. A Bland-Altman plot was additionally constructed where the mean difference was 0.2 ml with limits of agreement at ?1.4 ml and 1.9 ml. The results indicate that reliable vector velocity estimates can be obtained in vivo using the presented angle-independent 2-D vector velocity method. The TO method can be a useful alternative to conventional Doppler systems by avoiding the angle artifact, thus giving quantitative velocity information.  相似文献

The temporal trends and influence of age and gender on levels of selected brominated flame retardants (BFRs) in human serum have been assessed by analyzing archived samples from Norway. Serum from 40 to 50 year old men collected at six time periods during 1977 to 1999 and from eight groups of differing age and gender sampled in 1998 were pooled into six and eight samples, respectively. The BFRs were isolated using solid-phase extraction (SPE) and the serum lipids decomposed bytreatmentwith concentrated sulfuric acid directly on the polystyrene-divinylbenzene SPE column, prior to elution of the BFRs. Following diazomethane derivatization, the samples were analyzed by gas chromatography-electron capture mass spectrometry. Eight BFRs were quantified in the serum samples: 2,4,4'-tribromodiphenyl ether (BDE-28), 2,2',4,4'-tetrabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-47), 2,2',4,4',5-pentabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-99), 2,2',4,4',6-pentabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-100), 2,2',4,4',5,5'-hexabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-153), 2,2',4,4',5,6'-hexabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-154), 2,4,6-tribromophenol (TriBP), and tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBP-A). The serum concentrations of all the BFRs, increased during the entire period with the exception of TriBP, and the sum of the six polybrominated diphenyl ethers increased from 0.44 ng/g lipids in 1977 to 3.3 ng/g lipids in 1999. The BFR concentrations in the serum from the different age groups were relatively similar, except for the age group 0-4 years, which had 1.6-3.5 times higher serum concentrations. Women older than 25 years had lower serum concentrations of BFRs compared to the corresponding group of men. No trend related to age or gender, nor time during the period 1977 to 1999 was observed for TriBP. The present study indicates an ongoing increase in human exposure to BFRs, and the current body burden appears to be independent of age, except for infants (0-4 years old), who seem to experience elevated exposure.  相似文献

In the development of techniques for the retrospective assessment of the dose absorbed by communities living and working adjacent to the site of a nuclear accident, attention has concentrated on the use of natural minerals such as quartz and feldspar as dosemeters. These minerals are widely found in household earthenware and almost all types of bricks and concrete. Their main disadvantages are variable and often low sensitivity, and the possibility of a comparatively large natural dose prior to the accident, depending on the age of the building and the type or building material. However, there are other potential unheated crystalline materials found in the domestic and industrial environment which may also act as retrospective dosemeters, and may be considerably more sensitive. We have surveyed the thermoluminescent and optically stimulated luminescent (OSL) characteristics of several such chemicals and this paper reports on the OSL sensitivity, the size of the residual dose immediately after manufacture, stability and derived minimum detection limits.  相似文献

We present an approach for modelling unsteady, primarily one-dimensional, compressible flow. The conservation laws for mass, energy, and momentum are applied to a staggered mesh of control volumes and loss mechanisms are included directly as extra terms. Heat transfer, flow friction, and multidimensional effects are calculated using empirical correlations. Transformations of the conservation equations into new variables, artificial dissipation for dissipating acoustic phenomena, and an asymmetric interpolation method for minimising numerical diffusion and non physical temperature oscillations are presented. The capabilities of the approach are illustrated with an example solution and an experimental validation of a Stirling engine model.  相似文献

Estrogen therapy increases plasma HDL levels, which may reduce cardiovascular risk in postmenopausal women. The mechanism of action of estrogen in influencing various steps in hepatic HDL and apolipoprotein (apo) A-I synthesis and secretion are not fully understood. In this study, we have used the human hepatoblastoma cell line (Hep G2) as an in vitro model system to delineate the effect of estradiol on multiple regulatory steps involved in hepatic HDL metabolism. Incubation of Hep G2 cells with estradiol resulted in the following statistically significant findings: (1) increased accumulation of apoA-I in the medium without affecting uptake/removal of radiolabeled HDL-protein; (2) accelerated incorporation of [3H]leucine into apoA-I; (3) selective increase in [3H]leucine incorporation into lipoprotein (LP) A-I but not LP A-I+A-II HDL particles (HDL particles without and with apoA-II, respectively); (4) increased ability of apoA-I-containing particles to efflux cholesterol from fibroblasts; (5) stimulated steady state apoA-I but not apoA-II mRNA expression; and (6) increased newly transcribed apoA-I mRNA message without effect on apoA-I mRNA half-life. The data indicate that estradiol stimulates newly transcribed hepatic apoA-I mRNA, resulting in a selective increase in LP A-I, a subfraction of HDL that is associated with decreased atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, especially in premenopausal women.  相似文献
