Nonreflective passage of electromagnetic radiation on its incidence at an angle on the absorbing layer of a dielectric

The conditions of nonreflective passage of an electromagnetic wave on its incidence at an angle on a plane layer of an absorbing dielectric applied to an infinitely thick nonabsorbing backing have been found. Their dependences on the coating layer thickness, angle of wave incidence, and on the dielectric properties of the backing and coating materials are investigated.     

Control of degradation processes in electronic devices and prediction of their reliability

A method is proposed for controlling degradation processes and the reliability of electronic devices with the aid of a system of informative parameters. Application of γ radiation improves the sensitivity of the method. Translated from Izmeritel’naya Tekhnika, No. 1, pp. 42–44, January, 1998.     

Heat losses of large tray solar collectors with exposed evaporation surface

An analytic expression for determining the heat losses from the exposed surface of large tray solar water heating collectors via evaporation is proposed, and a numerical example of its practical implementation is presented.
