Sensitivity analysis of relative accommodation and vergence   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A sensitivity analysis was performed to determine the variation in response to changes in parameter values of a previously developed nonlinear static model of accommodation and vergence. To determine normal behavior, model simulation responses were computed using previously obtained parameter values in 4 subjects under 2 conditions. In the first, relative accommodation was evaluated by maintaining the vergence stimulus constant at 2.5 meter angles (MA) and varying the accommodative stimulus from -2.5 to 2.5 diopters (D) in 0.25-D steps. In the second, relative vergence was evaluated by maintaining the accommodative stimulus constant at 2.5 D and varying the vergence stimulus from 25 prism diopters (PD) base-in to 25 PD base-out in 5-PD steps. Sensitivity of the model parameters, consisting of controller gains for accommodation (ACG) and vergence (VCG), crosslink gains for accommodation-to-vergence (AC) and vergence-to-accommodation (CA), deadspace operators for accommodation (AE±AD) and vergence (VE±VD), and the tonic levels for accommodation (ABIAS) and vergence (VBIAS) were assessed by varying them at 50% and 150% of their normal values. It was found that the accommodation and vergence systems mere most sensitive to variation in crosslink gain, moderately sensitive to variation in controller gain and tonic level, and least sensitive to variation in size of the deadspace. These results may provide a quantitative basis for the occurrence of ocular dysfunctions associated with abnormal crosslink gains, such as strabismus, in clinical patients  相似文献

Only two tumor suppressor gene loci, one on 3p25 and the MEN1 gene on 11q13, have thus far been implicated in the pathogenesis of sporadic human pancreatic endocrine tumors (PETs). A genome-wide allelotyping study of 28 human PETs was undertaken to identify other potential tumor suppressor gene loci. In addition to those on chromosomes 3p and 11q, frequent allelic deletions were identified on 3q (32%), 11p (36%), 16p (36%), and 22q (29%). Finer deletion mapping studies localized the smallest regions of common deletion to 3q27, 11p13, and 16p12.3-13.11. Potential candidate genes at these loci include WT1 (11p13), TSC2 (16p13), and NF2 (22q12), but no known tumor suppressor gene localizes to 3q27. The mean fractional allelic loss among these human PETs is 0.126, and no correlation was observed between allelic loss and clinical parameters, including age, sex, hormonal subtype, and disease stage. These findings highlight novel locations of tumor suppressor gene loci that contribute to the pathogenesis of human PETs, and several of these on 3p, 3q, and 22q are syntenic with loci on mouse chromosomes 9 and 16 that are implicated in a murine transgenic model of PETs.  相似文献

We reviewed 32 children with 41 radiation-therapy associated slipped capital femoral epiphyses (RTASCFE). Ten were from the authors' institutions and 22 from the literature. Gender distribution was equal. The age at diagnosis of the malignancy was 4.3 +/- 3.1 years; the amount of radiation was 4,240 +/- 1,445 rads. Children with RTASCFE presented younger (10.4 +/- 3.2 years) than a routine SCFE. The average symptom duration was 5 +/- 6 months. Children with RTASCFE are usually thin (median weight, 10th percentile) in contrast to children with typical SCFE, who are usually obese (<95th percentile). The majority (82%) of the slips were mild, compared to routine SCFEs (approximately 50%); 28% were bilateral. There was a positive linear relationship between the age at presentation of the SCFE and the age at diagnosis of the malignancy; there was a negative linear relationship between the age at presentation of the SCFE and the amount of radiation therapy.  相似文献

CD28 is a major T cell costimulatory molecule, delivering signals distinct from those of the CD3/TCR complex, which regulate cytokine and cytokine receptor expression, cell proliferation, and cell viability. CD28 needs to be cross-linked to initiate signals, yet both of its ligands, CD80 and CD86, are expressed as monomers. Previously, we determined the cytoplasmic tail of CD80 is required for CD28-mediated costimulation and subcellular relocalization of CD80 in lymphocytes. In this study, we report that Reh B cell transfectants expressing CD80 with mutations in the cytoplasmic tail region either at 275-278 (RRNE-->AAAA, CD80/4A) or serine 284 (S-->A, CD80/SA) can bind ligand similar to transfectants expressing wild-type CD80, yet are unable to costimulate T cell proliferation. These mutant CD80 molecules are expressed on the surface of the Reh cells in small clusters or foci indistinguishable from those of wild-type CD80 molecules. However, mutant CD80 molecules unlike wild-type CD80 cannot be readily induced by ligand into caps. Thus, small clusters of CD80 found on APC are insufficient to initiate CD28-mediated signals, and the formation of CD80 caps appears to be a critical factor regulating the initiation of T cell costimulation. A 30-kDa phosphoprotein that associates with the cytoplasmic tail of CD80 in activated cells may play a role in CD80 redistribution and thus CD28-mediated costimulation. These results indicate two distinct regions of the CD80 cytoplasmic tail regulate its costimulatory function, and both regions are required for CD80 function.  相似文献

N-acetyltransferase (NAT) activity was determined by incubation of purified Enterobacter aerogenes enzyme with 2-aminofluorene (2-AF) as the substrate, followed by high pressure liquid chromatography assays. The NAT activity from E. aerogenes was 0.58 +/- 0.08 nmol/min/mg protein for 2-AF. The values of apparent K(m) and Vmax were 0.72 +/- 0.14 mM and 2.45 +/- 0.29 nmol/min/mg protein, respectively, for 2-AF. The optimal pH value for the enzyme activity was 7.5 for the 2-AF tested. The optimal temperature for enzyme activity was 37 degrees C for the 2-AF substrate. The molecular weight of NAT from E. aerogenes was 44.9 kD. Among a series of divalent cations and salts, Zn2+, Ca2+, and Fe2+ were demonstrated to be the most potent protease inhibitors, and only ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid significantly protected the NAT. Iodoacetamide, in contrast to other agents, markedly inhibited NAT.  相似文献

The solid-state reaction method to form the superconducting oxide YBa2Cu3O x was studied. It was found that the starting cupric and yttrium components accelerated the decomposition of the BaCO3 component. At a constant heating rate of 10 ° Cmin–1 in thermogravimetric analysis, the temperature of complete decomposition,T f, was lowered from greater than 1000 ° C in pure BaCO3 to between 915 and 985 ° C. The effectiveness in decreasingT f can be ranked in the order of oxalate, carbonate and oxide. The highest sintered density achieved in this study was 6.03 g cm–3 (/th = 95%) at 990 ° C and 5.85 g cm–3 (/th = 92%) at 960 ° C. The source of cupric ion had the largest effect on densification. The use of cupric carbonate resulted in a consistently high Archimedes density of about 6.00gcm–3 and large dimensional shrinkage of about 20% at 990 ° C for 12h. In contrast, the use of cupric oxide gave the lowest density and smallest shrinkage. Within the same powder lot, higher sintered density and smaller dimensional shrinkage were observed in samples with higher initial green density and compaction pressure. However, the data suggested that the enhanced densification and higher density achieved by the use of cupric carbonate and oxalate cannot be accounted for by the different physical characteristics of the powders and the mechanics of powder compaction, measured collectively by the green density.  相似文献

This study proposes a roll‐to‐roll process‐based sub‐wavelength grating, which is attached on a light bar to turn the side‐lit red/green/blue (620, 520, and 450 nm) incident rays into a uniformly and normally output white light with high illuminance from the light bar's surface. On the basis of the rigorous coupling wave analysis, the relationship between the first‐order transmission/reflection efficiency and the pitch of the gratings with different shapes was analyzed. The optimal design can effectively reduce the coupling length and enhance the white color balance for display applications.  相似文献

Alumina ceramic porous structures were shaped by the fused deposition of alumina/polyamide 612 composite granules using an FDM 3D printer with a modified extruder to process granulated powder instead of a filament. The composite granules were prepared via thermally induced phase separation (TIPS). Firstly, in order to determine the proportion of polymer/solvent to be used in the TIPS process, different volume fractions of PA612 in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were studied (0.01 to 0.20), and the granules obtained were characterized by SEM, DSC, and Raman spectroscopy. Secondly, the addition of different ceramic loadings to the PA612/DMSO solution was studied with the aim of determining the amount to be used for preparing the composite granules by TIPS. In particular, the effect of the alumina content on the morphology and size of the obtained composite granules was studied. In addition, rheological properties (oscillatory and rotational tests) of the feed materials were studied. Finally, the printing conditions, including the nozzle temperature and nozzle diameter, and the extrusion process, were optimized in order to obtain porous structures with good quality. Alumina porous structures were successfully printed, debinded, and sintered. Adequate bonding between layers was achieved, and no defects at interfaces were detected.  相似文献

Nanosized gold particles (27 +/− 3 nm) have been proven to be effective in ameliorating the symptoms of mycobacterial-, collagen- and pristane-induced arthritis in rat models. This contrasts with the drug sodium aurothiomalate that was only effective against mycobacterial-induced arthritis but not to the same extent as Au0. Gold in the traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine,Swarna bhasma (gold ash), has been characterized as globular particles of gold with an average size of 56–57 nm.  相似文献
