Scrap latex products contain rubber hydrocarbon of very high quality, that is only slightly crosslinked. A novel economic technique for converting such latex waste into a processible material is developed. This paper reports the effect of adding this latex reclaim to natural rubber. It is shown that latex reclaim can replace raw natural rubber up to about 50 wt.-% without affecting mechanical properties.  相似文献

In this letter, we report on the growth and characterization of bulk Bi 2Se 3 single crystals. The studied Bi 2Se 3 crystals are grown by the self-flux method through the solid-state reaction from high-temperature (950 °C) melt of constituent elements and slow cooling (2 ℃/h). The resultant crystals are shiny and grown in the [00l] direction, as evidenced from surface XRD. Detailed Reitveld analysis of powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) of the crystals showed that these are crystallized in the rhombohedral crystal structure with a space group of R3m (D5), and the lattice parameters are a = 4.14 (2), b = 4.14 (2), and c = 28.7010 (7) Å. Temperature versus resistivity (ρ?T) plots revealed metallic conduction down to 2 K, with typical room temperature resistivity (ρ 300 K) of around 0.53 m Ω-cm and residual resistivity (ρ 0 K) of 0.12 m Ω-cm. Resistivity under magnetic field [ ρ(T)H] measurements exhibited large + ve magneto-resistance right from 2 to 200 K. Isothermal magneto-resistance [ ρH] measurements at 2, 100, and 200 K exhibited magneto-resistance (MR) of up to 240 %, 130 %, and 60 %, respectively, at 14 T. Further, the MR plots are nonsaturating and linear with the field at all temperatures. At 2 K, the MR plots showed clear quantum oscillations at above say 10 T applied field. Also, the Kohler plots, i.e., Δρ/ ρ oversus B/ ρ, were seen consolidating on one plot. Interestingly, the studied Bi 2Se 3 single crystal exhibited the Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations at 2 K under different applied magnetic fields ranging from 4 to 14 T.  相似文献

We report an easy and versatile route for the synthesis of the parent phase of the newest superconducting wonder material, i.e., p-terphenyl. Doped p-terphenyl has recently shown superconductivity with transition temperature as high as 120 K. For crystal growth, the commercially available p-terphenyl powder is pelletized, encapsulated in an evacuated (10?4 Torr) quartz tube and subjected to high-temperature (260 °C) melt followed by slow cooling at 5 °C/h. A simple temperature-controlled heating furnace is used during the process. The obtained crystal is one piece, shiny, and plate like. Single crystal surface XRD (X-ray diffraction) showed unidirectional (00l) lines, indicating that the crystal is grown along the c-direction. Powder XRD of the specimen showed that as grown p-terphenyl is crystallized in monoclinic structure with space group P2 1/a space group, having lattice parameters a = 7.672 (2) Å, b = 5.772 (5) Å, and c = 13.526(3) Å and β = 91.484 (3)°. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) pictures of the crystal showed clear layered slab-like growth without any visible contamination from oxygen. Characteristic reported Raman active modes related to C–C–C bending, C–H bending, C–C stretching, and C–H stretching vibrations are seen clearly for the studied p-terphenyl crystal. The physical properties of the crystal are yet underway. The short letter reports an easy and versatile crystal growth method for obtaining quality p-terphenyl. The same growth method may probably be applied to doped p-terphenyl and to subsequently achieve superconductivity to the tune of as high 120 K for the newest superconductivity wonder, i.e., high- T c organic superconductor (HTOS).  相似文献

We demonstrate an automated procedure for the detection of collimation position of an incoherent beam in Lau interferometry using Fourier fringe analysis technique. The experimental arrangement consists of a Lau based interferometer in which light from a source grating illuminates a set of two coarse gratings separated by self imaging distance. Direct phase measurement using Fourier Transform Method (FTM) has been used to obtain the slope map of the wavefront and hence the detection of collimation position is undertaken advantageously. The experimental arrangement is simple and interferometric noise is lower. Detailed uncertainty analysis has also been reported. The technique is fully automatic and provides good accuracy and high precision.  相似文献

The investigation was aimed at assessing anti-inflammatory and antioxidative activities along with the release of peptides with antioxidative properties during the fermentation of camel milk by Lacticaseibacillus casei (NK9). Reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) was used to separate the bioactive peptides of 3 and 10 kDa (permeates and retentates). Reverse-phase liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (RPLC/MS) was used to identify and characterise the pure bioactive peptides, and the effect of fermented camel milk on inflammation produced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)/endotoxin in RAW 264.7 (Ralph and William's cell line) was also examined. Furthermore, docking revealed that peptides (LLNEK and IYTFPQPQSL) were predicted to inhibit myeloperoxidase (nMPO) activity by engaging with different residues in and around the human myeloperoxidase (hMPO) active site.  相似文献

Deep annotation of a library of 4-anilinoquin(az)olines led to the identification of 7-iodo-N-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)quinolin-4-amine 16 as a potent inhibitor (IC50=14 nM) of Protein Kinase Novel 3 (PKN3) with micromolar activity in cells. Compound 16 is a potential tool compound to study the cell biology of PKN3 and its role in pancreatic and prostate cancer and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. These 4-anilinoquin(az)olines may also be useful tools to uncover the therapeutic potential of PKN3 inhibition in a broad range of diseases.  相似文献

The thermorheological effect on the onset of Rayleigh–Bénard convection in a biviscous Bingham fluid in the presence of a horizontal magnetic field is investigated considering rough boundary conditions on velocity and Robin boundary conditions on temperature. The viscosity of the electrically conducting fluid is assumed to be sensitive to temperature variation. Linear and global nonlinear stability analyses are performed using the Chebyshev pseudospectral method to determine the existence of instability or otherwise. A general interpretation is made from the results to show the effects of the magnetic field and the variable viscosity on the system's stability. The biviscous Bingham parameter and the Chandrasekhar number are shown to have a delay in the onset of convection, while the effect of temperature sensitivity is to advance the onset. It is found that the results of linear and global nonlinear stability are not in agreement, so the region of subcritical instability exists. Also, the results obtained for Rayleigh–Bénard convection agree pretty well with those of Platten and Legros and Siddheshwar et al. for the limiting cases.  相似文献
