In recent years, energy consumption and data gathering is a foremost concern in many applications of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The major issue in WSNs is effective utilization of the resource as energy and bandwidth with a large gathering of data from the monitoring and control applications. This paper proposes novel Bandwidth Efficient Cluster based Packet Aggregation algorithm for heterogeneous WSNs. It combines the idea of variable packet generation rate of each node with random data. The nodes are randomly distributed with different energy level and are equal in numbers. It uses the perfectly compressible aggregation function at cluster head based on the correlation of packets and data generated by each node. Compare to state-of-the-art solutions, the algorithm shows 4.43 % energy savings with reduced packet delivery ratio (62.62 %) at the sink. It shows better bandwidth utilization in packet aggregation than data aggregation. 相似文献

This paper deals with waveform analysis, crosstalk peak and delay estimation of CMOS gate driven capacitively and inductively coupled interconnects. Simultaneously switching inputs for the coupled interconnects are considered. A transmission line-based coupled model of interconnect is used for analysis. Alpha-power Law model of MOS transistor is used to represent the transistors in CMOS driver. Peaks and delays at far-end of victim line are estimated for conditions when the inputs to the two coupled interconnects are switching in-phase and out-of-phase. The comparison of analytically obtained results with SPICE simulations show that the proposed model captures noise peak and their timing; 90% propagation delay; transition time delay and waveform shape with good accuracy, such as not more than 5% error in crosstalk peak estimation. 相似文献

Two efficient algorithms are described for the estimation of dynamic parameters in a tracer kinetic experiment, when a stochastic multicompartmental model is utilized. The first approach is based on the sensitivity method, where the error between the model output and the system output is minimized. Sensitivity functions are calculated and model outputs are simulated by the algorithm at each iteration in order to estimate the optimal values of the model parameters. The concept of a whitening filter is used in the second method to convert the colored output error into a white sequence: the algorithm minimizes the estimated variance of the filtered sequence. A low-abundance form of water, H(2)(17)O, was enriched from 0.04% to ~90% by slow evaporation and fractional distillation of tap water. The density and refractive index for H(2)(17)O are reported. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) of (16)O- and (17)O-1-hexanols and their trimethyl silyl ethers and of (16)O- and (17)O-hexamethyl disiloxanes was used to determine the percentage of (17)O enrichment in the H(2)(17)O. Furthermore, the chemical shifts of labeled and nonlabeled water dissolved in CDCl(3) differed sufficiently that we could verify the enrichment of H(2)(17)O. (17)O hexanol was synthesized by the reaction of iodohexane with Na(17)OH. (17)O-Labeled trimethylsilanol and (17)O-labeled hexamethyldisiloxane were prepared by the reaction of H(2)(17)O with bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA). To generate standards for (17)O NMR, H(2)(17)O(2), and (17)O camphor were prepared. H(2)(17)O was electrolyzed to form (17)O-labeled hydrogen peroxide which was quantified using two colorimetric assays. (17)O-Labeled camphor was prepared by exchanging the ketone oxygen of camphor using H(2)(17)O. The (17)O-labeled compounds were characterized using (17)O, (1)H, and (13)C NMR and GC-MS. While we were characterizing the labeled camphor, we also detected an unexpected oxygen exchange reaction of primary alcohols, catalyzed by electrophilic ketones such as camphor. The reaction is a displacement of the alcohol OH group by water. This is an example of the usefulness of (17)O NMR in the study of a reaction mechanism that has not been noticed previously. 相似文献

We have studied structural properties of amorphous hydrogenated silicon usingab initio molecular dynamics simulations. A sample was generated by simulated annealing using periodic boundary conditions with a supercell
containing 64 silicon and 8 hydrogen atoms. The radial pair distribution functions for Si-Si, Si-H and H-H have been studied
at 300 K and are found to be in good agreement with experimental data. Our results show that hydrogen saturates the dangling
bonds and reduces bond strain. We also report existence of Si-H-Si bridge sites which are likely to play an important role

The integral diaphragm pressure transducers machined out of precipitation hardened martensite stainless steel (APX4) are widely used for propellant pressure measurements in space applications. These transducers are expected to exhibit dimensional stability and linearity for their entire useful life. These vital factors are very critical for the reliable performance and dependability of the pressure transducers. However, these transducers invariably develop internal stresses during various stages of machining. These stresses have an adverse effect on the performance of the transducers causing deviation from linearity. In order to eliminate these possibilities, it was planned to cryotreat the machined transducers to improve both the long-term linearity and dimensional stability. To study these effects, an experimental cryotreatment unit was designed and developed based on the concept of indirect cooling using the concept of cold nitrogen gas forced closed loop convection currents. The system has the capability of cryotreating large number of samples for varied rates of cooling, soaking and warm-up. After obtaining the initial levels of residual stress and retained austenite using X-ray diffraction techniques, the pressure transducers were cryotreated at 98 K for 36 h. Immediately after cryotreatment, the transducers were tempered at 510 °C for 3 h in vacuum furnace. Results after cryo treatment clearly indicated significant reduction in residual stress levels and conversion of retained austenite to martensite. Nitrate upon reduction to nitrite can cause methaemoglobinaemia or act as precursor in the endogenous formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines. The leafy vegetables are the major vehicle for the entry of nitrate into the human system. The present study was conducted to establish a flow injection analysis (FIA) technique to investigate the nitrate-N contents of four commonly consumed fresh leafy vegetables (Chinese cabbage, celery, lettuce and English cabbage) from market in Fiji. Two extraction techniques (activated carbon and alkaline extraction) were assessed to extract nitrate-N and the activated carbon extraction was preferred over alkaline extraction and applied. The recoveries of spiked nitrate-N in vegetable matrices ranged from 90.40% to 112.80% in activated carbon extraction with an average of 100.62%. The effects of cooking (boiling, baking and frying) and deep-freezing on the nitrate-N contents were also studied. Nitrate contents in selected leafy vegetables were determined by FIA coupled with Greiss protocol involving sulfanilamide and N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride as color reagents. Nitrate was determined in the linear range from 1.0 to 20.0 mg L−1 with the method detection limit of 0.042 mg L−1 (0.34 mg kg−1). The results of the study show that nitrate contents in fresh leafy vegetables ranged from 1297 to 5658 mg kg−1. Boiling reduces nitrate content by 47–56% whereas frying in Soya bean oil elevates nitrate content by as much as 159–307%. No significant change was observed in nitrate content after baking. The deep-freezing of the selected leafy vegetables shows that nitrate-N content fluctuates slightly from the original nitrate-N values over the seven day period. Carrots of uniform size were wrapped tightly within a plastic cling film and stored under refrigeration conditions for a period of 24 days. The roots were analyzed for changes in phenolics, carotenoids, antioxidant activity, texture and optical properties at every 6th day. Total carotenoid levels decreased from 12.68 to 8.17 mg/100 gm during the storage and a similar change in phenolics was observed with values decreasing from 41.63 to 32.31 mg GAE/100 gm. Collective losses of both carotenoids and phenolics negatively affected antioxidant activity in carrots with figures decreasing from 16.50 to 11.07%. The refrigeration storage of carrots also had an influence on its optical and textural characteristics at significant levels (p?<?0.5). Texture change in carrots was more profound in core sections of root during the storage. A strong positive correlation was observed for antioxidants with carotenoids, phenolics, L* and a* values. 相似文献
