Features of compacting hydrogen-doped granules of a VT5-1kt titanium alloy

The effect of hydrogen on consolidation of granules of the VT5-1kt alloy, as well as the structure, mechanical characteristics, and fracture micromechanism of a compact produced by the hot-isostatic-pressing technique, is studied. It is established that hydrogen doping allows obtainment of a compact of the VT5-1kt alloy of 100% density with a high complex of properties in the course of a few minutes at such temperature-strength conditions in which the consolidation of granules is not realized. It is shown that the process of consolidation of hydrogenated granules proceeds more effectively in the (α + β) region.     

Effect of Preparation Conditions on the Phase Composition of ZrO2–Al2O3–CeO2 Powders

Data are presented on the phase composition of ZrO₂–Al₂O₃–CeO₂ powders containing 10, 30, and 70 mol %, prepared via coprecipitation and successive precipitation. The precipitation procedure is shown to have a strong effect on the phase composition of the heat-treated powders and the state (inter- or intracrystalline) of the T-ZrO₂ phase, thereby changing its stability. At an Al₂O₃ content of 30 mol %, the M-ZrO₂ content is independent of the precipitation procedure.

Induction of substances with thymosin-like activity and the potentiation of interferonogenesis in the mechanism of prodigiozan inhibition of 3-methylcholanthrene-induced blastomogenesis

It is shown that prodigiosan is an inductor of synthesis of the substances with the thymosin-like activity. The suggestion about inhibition of 3-methylcholanthrene-induced blastomogenesis by prodigiosan which is mediated by the substances with the thymosin-like activity and interferon is discussed. We present the hypothetical diagram of the development of the above mentioned mechanism. The significance of the obtained findings for elaboration of the immunotherapy is discussed.     

Theory of the Structure of Coherent Boundaries in ZrO<Subscript>2</Subscript> Nanoparticles

A general algorithm is proposed for constructing coherent boundaries. This algorithm is based on the interrelation between the spatial coherence of structural fragments in nanoparticles and the geometric connection in the corresponding associated bundle. A local approach is used to describe the structure of coherent boundaries in zirconia nanoparticles.
