Purification and characterization of P33 protein of Candida utilis homologous to bgl2p of Saccharomyces cerevisiae; comparative analysis of the role of these proteins in molecular organization of the yeast cell walls

P33 protein was isolated from the cell walls of Candida utilis. Homology between P33 and Bgl2p proteins from the cell walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae was shown. The important role of these proteins in molecular organization of yeast cell walls was demonstrated using trypsin proteolysis and the "gene disruption" method.     

Synthesis and Calculation of Properties of N-Difluoroaminoazoles,the Novel Type of Energetic Materials

A novel class of energetic materials, N-difluoroaminonitroazoles was synthesized. One molecule of these compounds contains simultaneously a nitro group and difluoroamine one. A method of synthesizing N-difluoroaminonitroazoles incorporates the interaction of N-unsubstituted nitroazoles with O-fluorosulfonyl-N,N-difluorohydroxylamine (F₂NOSO₂F) in the presence of bases. To estimate possible prospects of these compounds, energy content, molecular crystal density, some parameters of detonation and combustion were calculated using some well-known methods of computational chemistry, as well as some of our original schemes. In addition, thermostability (by the DTA method) and density were identified experimentally for a cross-section row of the studied compounds. The reasons for relatively low stability of this type of substances were given.     

Theory of the Relaxation Spectra of Cross‐Linked Polymers in the Presence of Structural and Dynamic Heterogeneity

The spectra of relaxation times of polymer meshes in the presence of various types of structural and dynamic heterogeneity have been considered. The influence of the orientation ordering of elements of macromolecules between the mesh nodes on the intrachain spectrum has been investigated. Analysis of the interchain largescale processes in polymer meshes containing rodlike inclusions has been carried out. It has been shown that the presence of structural and dynamic heterogeneity of the above types along with the previously considered domain structure of crosslinked polymers leads to a fine structure of the relaxation spectra of polymer meshes.     

Plasma-Immersion Formation of High-Intensity Ion Beams

For the first time, the possibility of forming high-intensity beams of low-energy metal and gas ions is demonstrated experimentally. The use of a hybrid system for ion-beam formation including plasmaimmersion extraction and ion acceleration and their subsequent ballistic focusing in an equipotential space with neutralization of the space charge of the beam made possible the pulse-periodic formation of titanium and nitrogen ion beams with an ion-current density of more than 1 A/cm² and a pulsed power density of 2.6 kW/cm².     

On ensembles of low-density parity-check codes: asymptotic distancedistributions

We derive expressions for the average distance distributions in several ensembles of regular low-density parity-check codes (LDPC). Among these ensembles are the standard one defined by matrices having given column and row sums, ensembles defined by matrices with given column sums or given row sums, and an ensemble defined by bipartite graphs
