Design factor problems related to galling failure have become an increasing concern for deepwater offshore wells. This paper presents the results of an experimental study conducted to determine friction characteristics of P-110 tubing coated with manganese phosphate and plated with tin. Six repeated tests were run to investigate the effect of lubrication type on friction characteristics of P-110 tubing by using thread compounds of API modified Threadkote-706, Shell Type-3 and Graphite/PTFE at a rotational speed of 5 rpm. In each test the bearing load was increased monotonically to a maximum value of 625 kN. The results of this study clearly indicate the importance of tin-plating in reducing the coefficient of friction. 相似文献

Thermomechanical analysis of elastoplastic medium in sliding contact with fractal surface 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The effects of mechanical and thermal surface loadings on deformation of elastic–plastic semi-infinite medium were analyzed simultaneously by using the finite element method. Rigid rough surface of a magnetic head and smooth surface of an elastic–plastic hard disk were chosen to perform a comprehensive thermo-elastic–plastic contact analysis at the head–disk interface (HDI). A two-dimensional finite element model of a rigid rough surface characterized by fractal geometry sliding over an elastic–plastic medium was then developed. The evolution of deformation in the semi-infinite medium due to thermomechanical surface loading is interpreted in terms of temperature, von Mises equivalent stress, and equivalent plastic strain. In addition to this, the effects of friction coefficient, sliding, and interference distance on deformation behavior were also analyzed. It is shown that frictional heating increases not only the contact area but also the contact pressure and stresses. 相似文献

Cocaine dependence is associated with an enhanced sensitivity to stress and drug craving. Increases in stress-induced craving and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal reactivity are also predictive of cocaine relapse outcomes. More important, sex differences in these responses have also been reported. To further understand the basis of the sex differences, the authors examined the influence of sex steroid hormones on subjective and physiological stress responses and drug craving in cocaine-dependent women. Women who had low progesterone levels (n=5) were compared with those with high progesterone levels (n=5) and with those with moderate levels of estradiol and progesterone (n=9) in their responses during exposure to stress, cocaine cues, and neutral imagery conditions. The high progesterone group showed significantly lower stress-induced and drug cue-induced cocaine craving ( p 相似文献

Previously, the authors reported that progesterone treatment attenuated reports of cocaine-induced high in male and female cocaine users. In this pilot clinical trial, the authors tested the safety and efficacy of oral progesterone as a treatment for cocaine dependence in methadone-stabilized male cocaine users. This was a 10-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. Forty-five male methadone-stabilized cocaine users were randomized to receive placebo (n=15) or progesterone (n=30) for 9 weeks. The progesterone dose was gradually increased from 100 mg to 300 mg twice daily by Week 4 and maintained through Week 10. Treatment retention for the clinical trial was 80%, without significant group differences (log rank=2.4, p=.12). Hierarchical linear modeling estimates of obtaining a cocaine positive urine result across 10 weeks showed a very slight reduction in cocaine use for the progesterone group (Z=-2.89, p 相似文献

To investigate sex and menstrual cycle effects in response to cocaine administration, data from existing studies were analyzed. First, responses to a single delivery of 0.4 mg/kg smoked cocaine were investigated. Women reported lower ratings for measures of paranoid/suspicious and heart racing/pounding than did men. In addition, women in the luteal phase reported diminished ratings for a measure of feel high than did both women in the follicular phase of the menstrual cycle and men. Second, responses to up to 6 deliveries of 0.4 mg/kg smoked cocaine were investigated. Women, compared with men, had lower ratings on feel high, heart racing/pounding, and feel stimulated. Results suggest that there are significant sex and menstrual phase differences in the subjective effects of cocaine. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) 相似文献
