Multitemporal SAR images for monitoring cultivation systems using case-based reasoning 总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
This paper demonstrates that multitemporal satellite SAR images are most suitable for monitoring the rapid changes of cultivation systems in a subtropical region. A new method is proposed by applying case-based reasoning (CBR) techniques to the classification of SAR images. Stratified sampling is carried out to collect the cases so that the variations of backscatters within a class can be appropriately captured. The use of discrete cases can conveniently represent the internal changes of a class under complicated situations, such as spatial changes in soil conditions and terrain features. These spatial variations are difficult to represent by using rules or mathematical equations. The proposed method has better classification performance than supervised classification methods in the study area. The case library is reusable for time-independent classification when the SAR images are acquired at the same time of the crop growth cycles for different years. The proposed method has been tested in the Pearl River Delta in South China. 相似文献

Seismic Retrofit of Hollow Rectangular Bridge Columns 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The seismic performance of rectangular hollow bridge columns is a significant issue of the high-speed rail project in Taiwan. The flexural ductility and shear capacity of such columns with the configuration of lateral reinforcement used in Taiwan have been studied recently. This paper reports that hollow rectangular bridge columns retrofitted with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets were tested under a constant axial load and a cyclically reversed horizontal load to investigate their seismic behavior, including flexural ductility, dissipated energy, and shear capacity. An analytical model was also developed to predict the moment-curvature curve of sections and the load-displacement relationship of columns. Based on the test results, the seismic behavior of such columns will be presented. The test results were also compared to the proposed analytical model. It was found that the ductility factors of the tested piers are in the range from 3.4 to 6.3, and the proposed analytical model can predict the load-displacement relationship of such columns with acceptable accuracy. All in all, FRP sheets can effectively improve both the ductility factor and shear capacity of hollow rectangular bridge columns. 相似文献

The effect of bone plug length and Kurosaka screw (DePuy, Warsaw, IN) diameter on graft holding strength of the bone-tendon-bone construct was determined. Random length porcine bone plugs were assigned to fixation with 7 or 9 mm Kurosaka screws. Peak load to failure was determined. There was a significant decrease in peak load to failure of the 5-mm long bone plugs compared with longer bone plugs. No difference was found between longer lengths of bone plug in either the 7- or 9-mm screw diameter groups. The 9-mm diameter screws significantly increased peak load to failure for both 1- and 2-cm bone plug lengths. 相似文献

In this study, an electro-microchip was successfully used to detect the impedance signals of various methamphetamine (MET) concentrations based on the developed competitive immunoassay method. MET is a commonly used drug often abused by drug addicts and can cause irregular behavior; therefore, MET concentration detection is important for quantitative analysis. In this study, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were introduced into an electro-microchip through the specific binding of antibodies, thus constructing a bridge between two electrodes and allowing electrons to move between them. The decreasing impedance value can be easily measured with a commercial LCR meter. According to the collected measurements, a significant difference was observed in impedance signals after 13?min when MET concentrations were reduced. Additionally, a clear, distinguished impedance (a steep slope for both impedance and MET concentration) in the frequency effect (100?Hz?C1?MHz) was observed at 100?Hz. When the concentration of the anti-MET antibody?Ccolloidal gold conjugates was diluted 100×, the detectable limit for MET concentration was 1?ng/mL with 0.5???g/mL of BSA?CMET conjugate. Therefore, the developed electro-microchip is advantageous because it is effective with small sample volumes (30???L), is a form of rapid quantitative measurement, and works with smaller detectable concentrations than other existing commercial detection products which have the best limit of detection of 100?ng/mL. 相似文献

Thin films of Al, Sc-co-doped ZnO varying with Sc-contents were sputtered on the glass substrate. X-ray diffraction (XRD) of the films revealed wurtzite crystals that were confirmed through the analysis of high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). With increasing the Sc-content from 0 to 2.37 wt.% in the films, the optical energy band gap (Eg) was estimated to decrease from 3.25 to 3.20 eV, and the electrical resistivity (Ω cm) decreased from 3.8 × 10− 3 to 1.3 × 10− 3. The decrease in resistivity may be ascribed to electrons tunneling through the horizontal stacking faults induced by Sc-dopants in the films. 相似文献

Elevated levels of Mucin-16 (MUC16) in conjunction with a high expression of truncated O-glycans is implicated in playing crucial roles in the malignancy of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). However, the mechanisms by which such aberrant glycoforms present on MUC16 itself promote an increased disease burden in PDAC are yet to be elucidated. This study demonstrates that the CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genetic deletion of MUC16 in PDAC cells decreases tumor cell migration. We found that MUC16 enhances tumor malignancy by activating the integrin-linked kinase and focal adhesion kinase (ILK/FAK)-signaling axis. These findings are especially noteworthy in truncated O-glycan (Tn and STn antigen)-expressing PDAC cells. Activation of these oncogenic-signaling pathways resulted in part from interactions between MUC16 and integrin complexes (α4β1), which showed a stronger association with aberrant glycoforms of MUC16. Using a monoclonal antibody to functionally hinder MUC16 significantly reduced the migratory cascades in our model. Together, these findings suggest that truncated O-glycan containing MUC16 exacerbates malignancy in PDAC by activating FAK signaling through specific interactions with α4 and β1 integrin complexes on cancer cell membranes. Targeting these aberrant glycoforms of MUC16 can aid in the development of a novel platform to study and treat metastatic pancreatic cancer. 相似文献

Asymmetric tensor field visualization can provide important insight into fluid flows and solid deformations. Existing techniques for asymmetric tensor fields focus on the analysis, and simply use evenly-spaced hyperstreamlines on surfaces following eigenvectors and dual-eigenvectors in the tensor field. In this paper, we describe a hybrid visualization technique in which hyperstreamlines and elliptical glyphs are used in real and complex domains, respectively. This enables a more faithful representation of flow behaviors inside complex domains. In addition, we encode tensor magnitude, an important quantity in tensor field analysis, using the density of hyperstreamlines and sizes of glyphs. This allows colors to be used to encode other important tensor quantities. To facilitate quick visual exploration of the data from different viewpoints and at different resolutions, we employ an efficient image-space approach in which hyperstreamlines and glyphs are generated quickly in the image plane. The combination of these techniques leads to an efficient tensor field visualization system for domain scientists. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our visualization technique through applications to complex simulated engine fluid flow and earthquake deformation data. Feedback from domain expert scientists, who are also co-authors, is provided. 相似文献
