Bioassays were performed on malePeriplaneta americana L. using synthetic (–)-periplanone-B (P-B) and Hauptmann's (–)-periplanone-A (P-A), and their mixtures at various ratios to estimate the roles of both periplanones for the sexual communication of the species. Both P-A and P-B elicited qualitatively the same responses, such as antennal movement, rapid locomotion, wing raising, and homosexual behavior of male cockroaches, but the threshold of the pheromone activities for P-B was two orders of magnitude lower than that of P-A. Neither synergistic nor inhibitory but only a simple integrated effect on the responses was observed when mixtures of P-A and P-B were applied.  相似文献

The synergistic action of antimony (Sb) with bromine (Br) was studied for polypropylene-2,3-dibromopropylpentabromophenyl ether–Sb2O3 systems at various Sb/Br molar ratios. Oxygen index, weight loss rate and heating value were used to evaluate the retardant effect. Bromine and antimony emission and their material balances were measured by gravimetric and X-ray fluorometric analysis of heated samples at each reaction time. Retarded HBr formation in the gaseous phase through SbBr3, SbOBr and Sb4O5Br2 was proved by X-ray diffraction analysis of heated residues and model products. SbBr3 and HBr formation were greatest at Sb/Br ratios of 1/3 and 1/4, respectively, while the highest oxygen index and the lowest weight loss rate and heating value were obtained at 1/4. Consequently, HBr will most probably produce the retardant effect rather than SbBr3. Effective synergistic action at the Sb/Br ratio of 1/4 is explained by presuming the formation of an acidic HBr.SbBr3 complex in the molten phase for the particular reaction pattern of bromine in 2,3-dibromopropylpentabromophenyl either.  相似文献

Contact-inhibited catalase-deficient fibroblast cell strain has been established from the homozygous hypocatalasemic C3H/Csb mutant mouse. This cell strain has low level of catalase enzyme activity and has normal level of enzyme activities of both glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase. Catalase-deficient C3H/Csb mutant cell strain is markedly more sensitive to the toxicity of hydrogen peroxide compared to wild-type C3H/Csa cell strain. In addition, mutant cell strain is sensitive to X-rays and near-UV compared to wild-type cell strain, but shows the same sensitivities to topoisomerase II inhibitors, adriamycin and 4'-(9-acridinylamino) methanesulfon-m-anisidide (m-AMSA), and the DNA cross-linking agents, cisdiamminedichloroplatinum (II) (cis-Pt) and trans-diamminedichloroplatinum (II) (trans-Pt). These cell strains will be of use in the study of the roles which catalase plays in the intracellular prevention of DNA damage induced by oxidative stress.  相似文献

目的:研究了不同直链淀粉含量的玉米淀粉对大鼠肠道发酵产物的影响.方法:将42只Wistar成年雌鼠随机分为7组,分别饲喂直链淀粉(AS)含量为0%、26.8%、53.8%、61.6%、75.7%、78.9%、85.8%的玉米淀粉饲料.喂养3周后解剖,测定各组体重、饲料效率及淀粉消化率、小肠内容物、盲肠内容物、盲肠组织重量以及盲肠中短链脂肪酸(SCFA)等指标.结果:61.6%AS、75.7%AS、78.9%AS和85.8%AS饲料组的淀粉表观消化率明显低于0%AS和26.8%AS饲料组.与0%AS和26.8%AS相比,高直链淀粉显著地增加了小肠内容物、盲肠内容物干重,75.7%AS组的盲肠内容物干重最高.高直链淀粉组盲肠中乙酸、丙酸和总SCFA的总量显著高于0%AS和26.8%AS组,53.8%AS组丙酸产量最高,61.6%AS组有最高丁酸和总SCFA产量,而75.7%AS有最高的乙酸、乳酸和琥珀酸产量,在高直链玉米淀粉中,78.9%AS组SCFA产量最低.结论:增加玉米淀粉中直链淀粉含量能明显降低淀粉的消化性,增加大鼠肠道中未消化残渣的量和盲肠中SCFA产量,但这种效果与直链淀粉的含量并没有明显的相关性.  相似文献

C34, a 34-mer fragment peptide, is contained in the HIV-1 envelope protein gp41. A dimeric derivative of C34 linked through a disulfide bridge at its C terminus was synthesized and found to display potent anti-HIV activity, comparable with that of a previously reported PEGylated dimer of C34REG. The reduction in the size of the linker moiety for dimerization was thus successful, and this result might shed some light on the mechanism of the suppression of six-helix bundle formation by these C34 dimeric derivatives. Addition of a Gly-Cys(CH2CONH2)-Gly-Gly motif at the N-terminal position of a C34 monomeric derivative significantly increased the anti-HIV-1 activity. This moiety functions as a new pharmacophore, and this might provide a useful insight into the design of potent HIV-1 fusion inhibitors.  相似文献

ABSTRACT:  The hypoglycemic and antidiabetic effect of hydroxypropyl tapioca starch (HPTS) with a varying degree of substitution (DS: 0.058, 0.091, and 0.180) was investigated in rats and KKAy mice, an animal model of type 2 diabetes. The positive incremental area under the curve (IAUC) for glucose significantly decreased as the DS of HPTS increased. The IAUC after intragastric intubation of the highest HPTS (HPTS-III, DS = 0.180) was 55% of the IAUC of tapioca starch (TS). After 28 d, fasting blood glucose and insulin concentrations were significantly lower in rats fed HPTS-III (50 g/kg diet) than in those fed TS ( P < 0.05). In KKAy mice fed HPTS-III (50 or 100 g/kg diet) for 33 d, as compared with TS, there was a delay in the detection of glucose in urine and also a decreased incidence of finding glucose in urine on days 7, 21, and 28; in addition, the AUCs for glucose in the oral glucose tolerance test on days 14 and 28 were significantly lower ( P < 0.05 and P < 0.05, respectively). The plasma adiponectin concentration and the quantitative insulin sensitivity check index (QUICKI) were significantly higher in mice fed HPTS-III than in those fed TS ( P < 0.01), whereas the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) was lower ( P < 0.01). Energy intake was significantly lower in mice fed HPTS-III than in those fed TS. These findings show that HPTS with a high DS resists digestion by α-amylase and improves insulin resistance in KKAy mice by decreasing energy intake. However, the potential mechanism by which HPTS-III decreases energy intake is unclear at present.  相似文献

The dengue virus is currently the most important flavivirus causing human diseases in the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. The envelope protein domain III of dengue virus type 2 (D2EIII), which induces protective and neutralizing antibodies, was expressed as an N-terminal fusion to a hexa-histidine tag in Escherichia coli. The expression of recombinant D2EIII of 103 amino acids in the soluble form can be achieved using suitable host strains, such as Origami, at a low induction temperature of 18 degrees C. The enhanced production of the soluble protein could be attributed to the thioredoxin reductase (trxB) and glutathione reductase (gor) double mutations in the Origami genome. The soluble and refolded D2EIII proteins were recognized by different antibodies including human patient antiserum. The immunization of rats with soluble D2EIII protein elicited the production of antibodies that could recognize the D2EIII protein in the D2EIII precursor protein and in C-terminal truncated dengue envelope protein type 1-4. Thus, this protein production system is suitable for the production of authentic recombinant dengue proteins that may be used in the diagnosis of the dengue virus infection or in vaccine development.  相似文献

Transparent zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were deposited on various substrates using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. During the PLD, oxygen pressure and substrate temperature were varied in order to find an optimal preparation condition of ZnO for thin film transistor (TFT) application. Dependence of optical, electrical and crystalline properties on the deposition conditions was investigated. The ZnO thin films were then deposited on SiN/c-Si layer structures in order to fabricate a TFT device. The pulsed laser deposited ZnO films showed a remarkable TFT performance: field effect mobility (μFE) of 2.4-12.85 cm2/V s and ratio of on and off current (Ron/off) in 2-6 order range. Influence of ZnO preparation conditions on the resulting TFT performance was discussed.  相似文献

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were produced by laser ablation of a graphite composite target in argon and nitrogen ambient gas. To investigate the effect of nitrogen gas on CNTs formation, the plasma plume was examined using optical emission spectroscopy. The vibrational temperature of C2 molecules was estimated by fitting of a Swan band spectrum. The temperature in N2 ambient gas is lower than that in Ar ambient gas. In a nitrogen atmosphere, the spectrum intensity of C2 Swan band was enhanced and CN violet system was also observed. Soot collected in the reaction tube was observed using FE-SEM and TEM. The soot deposited in the nitrogen gas contained more bundled CNTs than those in Ar ambience.  相似文献
