We have performed ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) studies of epitaxial V/Pd1−x Fe x (001) bilayers with a V thickness of the order of 40 nm and with a Pd1−x Fe x thickness in the range from 0.8 to 4.4 nm. For a bilayer with a Pd1−x Fe x thickness of 1.2 nm and x = 0.03, the FMR measurements revealed a decrease in the effective magnetization 4πM eff of the ferromagnetic layer below the superconducting transition temperature of vanadium. As a possible explanation for this decrease, we suggest a spatial modulation of the ferromagnetic order in the Pd1−x Fe x layer due to modifications of the indirect exchange interaction of magnetic ions via conduction electrons in the superconducting state. A comparison with a recent theoretical investigation supports this possibility.  相似文献

Samples of uranium-containing liquid luminophores activated with Dy3+ were prepared, and their properties were studied experimentally. Optical excitation of aqueous DyW10O369– solutions leads to the transfer of the excitation energy from the decatungstate ligand to Dy3+, followed by sensitized luminescence of Dy3+.  相似文献

A charged-particle detector based on proportional tubes with cathode readout is described. The cathode is sectionalized into 2.2 × 2.2-cm pads. The detector was tested on high-energy particle beams. At an anode-to-cathode distance of 1.1 cm, the spatial resolution was 1.25 mm along the anode wire. A simulation model of the detector on the basis of the measured pad-response function was proposed, compared to the experimental data, and used to calculate the two-track resolution. The detector can be used in various experiments as a large-area multiparticle two-coordinate detector.  相似文献

Control of smallpox by mass vaccination was one of the most effective public health measures ever employed for eradicating a devastating infectious disease. However, new methods are needed for monitoring smallpox immunity within current vulnerable populations, and for the development of replacement vaccines for use by immunocompromized or low-responding individuals. As a measure for achieving this goal, we developed a protein microarray of the vaccinia virus proteome by using high-throughput baculovirus expression and purification of individual elements. The array was validated with therapeutic-grade, human hyperimmune sera, and these data were compared to results obtained from individuals vaccinated against smallpox using Dryvax. A high level of reproducibility with a very low background were apparent in repetitive assays that confirmed previously reported antigens and identified new proteins that may be important for neutralizing viral infection. Our results suggest that proteins recognized by antibodies from all vaccinees constituted <10% of the total vaccinia proteome.  相似文献

Powder precursors have been prepared by means of the sol-gel technique and codeposition, and nanoceramics in the ZrO2-Al2O3-rare-earth (RE) oxide system (RE = Ce, Sc, or Y) based on them have been obtained. Physicochemical properties of the resulting ceramic composites have been investigated. The energy model for oxygen-ionic transport processes in a solid solution based on ZrO2, which relies on computer simulation procedure, has been proposed, and the structural, strength, and electrophysical characteristics of the solid solution have been calculated. The obtained materials are promising as high-melting electrochemical sensors in molten oxides.  相似文献
