Evidence for immunologic processes taking part in the pathogenesis of what until now has been called the "essential" form of EPH gestosis is cited. The name of immunogestosis (IG) is introduced. The data of this preliminary study suggest that regular "inoculation" of the female genital tract with allogeneic spermatozoal histocompatibility antigens reduces the incidence of IG. Information about preconceptional sexual habits and contraceptive measures was obtained from 83 selected primigravid patients. Twenty-eight women had mild to moderate IG (Group B);55 did not (Group A). Women in Group B had had less contact with spermatozoa of partners than did women in Group A. Oral contraceptive consumption was less in Group B than in Group A. Women in Group B were younger than women in Group A. All these differences were statistically significant. A new immunoetiologic hypothesis referring to IG, as well as the theoretic and clinical implications arising from it, are discussed. This hypothesis is based on the assumption that spermatozoal histocompatibility antigens can either induce immunologic tolerance or be responsible for the phenomenon of immunologic enhancement in the maternal immunosystem. As the fetus inherits paternal histocompatibility antigens, it is concluded that pre-existing tolerance (or enhancement) exerts an IG-preventive function in a subsequent pregnancy. 相似文献

The present research focused on wet process synthesis of visible light active carbon-modified (CM)-n-TiO2 nanoparticles and their photocatalytic activity. The CM-n-TiO2 was synthesized by hydrolysis of TiCl4 in the presence of tetrabutylammonium hydroxide and also in the presence of glucose and sodium hydroxide. UV–vis spectra, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and FT-IR were used to characterize these photocatalysts. It was found that the CM-n-TiO2 nanoparticles synthesized by hydrolysis with tetrabutylammonium hydroxide or with sodium hydroxide and glucose when subjected to extended aging and subsequent calcinations absorb well into the visible to near infrared region up to 800 nm and exhibit enhanced visible light photocatalytic activity on degradation of 4-chlorophenol. CM-n-TiO2 synthesized using glucose as the carbon source generated 13-fold increase in the initial rate of photodegradation of 4-chlorophenol compared to those by regular n-TiO2, whereas, it increased only eight-fold when tetrabutylammonium hydroxide was used as the carbon source. 相似文献

The results of an inter laboratory comparison of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, specific heat capacity, and thermal
expansion measurements on austenitic stainless steel in the temperature range between 20 and 1000°C are presented here. Mean
values are presented for the physical properties studied. Reliable relative expanded uncertainties can be stated for the properties
determined, which were achieved by applying good measurement practice, i.e., 3% for thermal expansion, 5% for specific heat
capacity and thermal diffusivity, and 6% for thermal conductivity. The mean values derived from this intercomparison agree
well with the results of a previous intercomparison in 1990.

Large-scale urban modeling technologies use a variety of sensors and data acquisition techniques. The authors categorize current approaches and describe their advantages and disadvantages. Their survey examines current research with respect to several performance criteria including data acquisition sources, user interaction level, geometric fidelity, model completeness, and intended applications. Although modeling systems vary with respect to these criteria, data acquisition strongly influences model characteristics and usefulness. The leak-before-break (LBB) design of the piping system for nuclear power plants has been based on the premise that the leakage due to the through-wall crack can be detected by using leak detection systems before a catastrophic break. The piping materials are required to have excellent J–R fracture characteristics. However, where ferritic steels for reactor coolant piping systems operate at the temperatures where dynamic strain aging (DSA) could occur, the fracture resistance could be reduced with the influence of DSA under dynamic loading. Therefore, in order to apply the LBB design concept to the piping system under seismic loading, both static and dynamic J–R characteristics must be evaluated.Materials used in this study are SA516 Gr.70 for the elbow pipe and SA508 Cl.1a for the main pipe and their welding joints. The crack extension during the dynamic and the static J–R tests was measured by the direct current potential drop (DCPD) and the compliance method, respectively.
