By means of a combined phallographic-exploratory method and using statistical classification we were able to confirm clinically the potency enhancing action of a spleenic dialysate (M 40,412, Solcosplen). The remarkable alleviation of chronic and acute disturbances of potency can be explained not only by the elevated serum testosterone levels but likewise by biochemical mechanisms of action in the target organ, as was demonstrated by a research group. The treatment of potency disorders of different genetical origins yielded as the outstanding conclusions: 1. The interdependence of dream- and erection phases, usually injured in disturbed potency, could be restored by M 40,412. 2. The effect of 40,412 was the more striking the more pronounced were the initial values. 3. A particular type of experiencing (feeling of inferiority and disturbed contact) appears to respond prevailingly well to M 40,412. Further clinical studies are suggested. 相似文献

In line with a recent study of the pharmacological potential of bioinspired synthetic acetylenic lipids, after identification of the terminal dialkynylcarbinol (DAC) and butadiynyl alkynylcarbinol (BAC) moieties as functional antitumor pharmacophoric units, this work specifically addresses the issue of carbon backbone length. A systematic variation of the aliphatic chain length was thus carried out in both the DAC and BAC series. The critical impact of the length of the lipidic skeleton was first confirmed in the racemic series, with the highest cytotoxic activity observed for C17 to C18 backbones. Enantiomerically enriched samples were prepared by asymmetric synthesis of the optimal C18 DAC and C17 BAC derivatives. Samples with upgraded enantiomeric purity were alternatively produced by enzymatic kinetic resolution. Eutomers possessing the S configuration displayed cytotoxicity IC50 values as low as 15 nm against HCT116 cancer cells, the highest level of activity reached to date in this series. 相似文献

This article presents a rendering technique for multilayered materials. Unlike existing methods, our technique does not assume that the thickness of these layers is constant. We use relief texture mapping to model a material's interior. Instead of representing the surface details, we use this method to represent the object's inner structure. We describe the material's layers using a simple 2D texture, in which each channel encodes a thickness. Our method supports nonplanar surfaces and falls between subsurface rendering methods based on surfaces and 3D texture-based algorithms. Furthermore, our solution provides a compact way to design translucent objects using a small amount of data. 相似文献

A new and easy-to-use method that allows for mold-free and rapid prototyping of microfluidic devices, comprising channels, access holes, and surface-modified patterns, is presented. The innovative method is based on direct photolithographic patterning of an off-stoichiometry thiol-ene (OSTE) polymer formulation, tailor-made for photolithography, which offers unprecedented spatial resolution and allows for efficient, robust and reliable, room temperature surface modification and glue-free, covalent room temperature bonding. This mold-free process does not require clean room equipment and therefore allows for rapid, i.e., less than one hour, design-fabricate-test cycles, using a material suited for larger-scale production. The excellent photolithographic properties of this new OSTE formulation allow patterning with unprecedented, for thiol-ene polymer systems, resolution in hundreds of micrometers thick layers, 200 μm thick in this work. Moreover, we demonstrated robust, covalent and spatially controlled modification of the microchannel surfaces with an initial contact angle of 76° by patterning hydrophobic/hydrophilic areas with contact angles of 102° and 43°, respectively. 相似文献

The objective of this study was to develop a new structural index based on rolling wheel deflectometer (RWD) deflection data to describe pavement structural capacity and to improve pavement management treatment selection. To achieve this objective, pavement conditions including surface cracking, rutting, roughness and asphalt layer thicknesses were categorised and sorted according to their AC layer thickness and divided into various subgroups. The cumulative distribution function of the new RWD index in each subgroup was generated so that various percentiles were calculated and used to define the boundary between structural and functional rehabilitation. Results showed that the Louisiana criteria may recommend structural rehabilitation for pavements with sound pavement structure (Type I error) and functional rehabilitation to pavements with weak pavement structure (Type II error). Therefore, the state pavement management system should consider both pavement structural indices and surface distress indices currently available when making recommendations for pavement preservation and rehabilitation. RWD testing technology and indices derived from its data are one of the most promising candidates to fulfil this need. 相似文献

Adsorption kinetic of molasses wastewaters after anaerobic digestion (MSWD) and melanoidin respectively on activated carbon was studied at different pH. The kinetic parameters could be determined using classical kinetic equations and a recently published fractal kinetic equation. A linear form of this equation can also be used to fit adsorption data. Even with lower correlation coefficients the fractal kinetic equation gives lower normalized standard deviation values than the pseudo-second order model generally used to fit adsorption kinetic data, indicating that the fractal kinetic model is much more accurate for describing the kinetic adsorption data than the pseudo-second order kinetic model. 相似文献
