Analog coordinate-sensitive photoelectric converter

The converter described for converting light-spot movement into a proportional electrical signal is based on a production-type photodiode with 11 surface elements. More efficient grinding of hard-to-cut materials

The use of an impregnated abrasive tool in grinding stainless steel (12X18H10T) is investigated. The roughness of the machined surface and the grinding ratio are considerably better than when a traditional tool is employed.     

Chemical reaction of impregnators in an abrasive tool with metal blanks

The performance of abrasive tools may be improved by impregnation with special compositions. By various means, the impregnating agent reduces the cutting force and tool wear and enhances the quality of the final ground surface.     

Ceramics based on aluminum titanate and additives synthesized in the big solar furnace by means of solid phase reactions and the induction method

The phase composition of composite ceramic based on aluminum titanate and additives synthesized by concentrated solar radiation by means of solid phase reactions and by the induction method is investigated. It is revealed that the additives positively influence the sample’s mechanical properties.
