Drainage-bathing system in surgical treatment of soft tissue and bones purulent diseases

For the last 10 years 5531 patients were operated on in clinic for purulent inflammatory diseases of soft tissues and bones, 1609 of them being treated by the routine open method with the drainage of purulent cavity and gauze tampons, rubber tubes and wicks (turundae) and 3922 patients being operated on with the use of drainage bathing system (DBS) and primary sutures of the wound. The use of an active, closed surgical method of treatment, including thoroughly done intraoperative necrectomy, the application of DBS of through, opposite or T-shaped construction as well as postoperative dropping or flowing fractional bathing of residual cavity by antiseptic solutions reduced the terms of treatment 2-3 times, comparing to the standard (open) method with good functional and cosmetic results.     

Biotechnological approaches to the development of therapeutic and diagnostic preparations of lipid nature

The paper summarizes own results of studies on phospholipids and glycolipids from natural biological sources. New approaches for synthesis of inositol-containing sphingophospholipids, glycophosphatidylinositols, semisynthetic synthesis of phosphoglycerols have been introduced. New industrial method of phosphjatidylcholine isolation and production of number of lipid preparations were developed. Incorporation of DOPA into liposomes increases efficacy of its action in the medication of MPTP-induced parkinsonism in mice.     

Evaluation of reactivity and immunogenicity of a cultured concentrated inactivated vaccine against hepatitis A "Hep-A-In-Vak"

Clinical trials of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine Hep-A-in-Vac demonstrated its specific safety and moderate reactogenicity, manifesting by short-term fibrillar twitching of musculus deltoideus at the site of injection. After a course of three immunizations 87.5% seronegative vaccines developed a high level of specific antibodies to hepatitis A virus with at least 100 reverse values of titers. In controls antibody titers remained seronegative in 90% cases. These data indicate evident immunologic activity of Hep-A-in-Vac vaccine.
