Brain tissue luminescence in the millisecond range

Luminescence signals, which persisted for a few milliseconds, were registered in some areas of rat brain surface. The amplitude of the signal was shown to depend on the location of the area. The strongest signals were registered in the areas that are known from physiological studies to possess light sensitivity. It is proposed to use this effect in studies of brain tissue light sensitivity.     

Antigenic properties of non-histone protein-DNA complexes from mouse and rat hepatocellular tumors

Antigenic properties of the non-histone protein--DNA complexes from liver, kidney and transplantable hepatomas of mice and rats were studied. The hepatomas differ from the normal liver by the presence of a kidney-specific antigenic component.     

Purulent infection and sepsis in surgical patients

The problems of pathogenesis, clinic and treatment of general purulent infection and sepsis are discussed. 1045 patients with different purulent diseases were observed by the author. Sepsis was diagnosed in 18 patients, that made 1.7 per cent to a total number of observations. Among these septic patients 8 patients died.
