Influence of Location and the Year of Planting on the Protein-and Fat-Content and Fatty Acid Pattern of Different Varieties of Soybeans The influence of location and the year of planting on the crude protein content and crude fat content, as well as on the fatty acid composition of soybean oil was investigated and statistically evaluated. These studies were carried out using 12 different materials that were collected during a cultivation period of 2–3 years from various locations in Germany, France, Italy and Turkey. In addition, 8 Asian varieties of soybean, 4 of which were grown in Hongkong and 4 in Sweden, were investigated as well.  相似文献

The zeta potential of particles is a key factor in the electrophoretic deposition process. It plays a role in the stabilization of the suspension by determining the intensity of repulsive interactions as well as in determining the direction and velocity of particle migration.The zeta potential can be controlled by addition of charging agents such as acids, bases, and specifically adsorbed ions or polyelectrolytes, to the suspension. Thus there exist a variety of additives that affect the charge magnitude and its polarity. These additives act by different mechanisms.The main criteria for the selection of a charging agent are the preferred polarity and deposition rate of the particles. While the deposition rate is directly dependent on the zeta potential, which is determined by the charging additive, the influence of such an additive is exerted also by its effect on the ionic conductivity of the suspension. The latter determines the potential drop in the bulk of the suspension, which constitutes the driving force for the transfer of the particles to the electrodes.The present work will describe the methodology developed at Cerel for the selection of a charging agent based on its effect on the zeta potential/pH curve, on the isoelectric point and on the ionic conductivity of the suspension.  相似文献

This paper describes a self-contained integrated microfluidic system that can separate motile sperm from small samples that are difficult to handle using conventional sperm-sorting techniques. The device isolates motile sperm from nonmotile sperm and other cellular debris, based on the ability of motile sperm to cross streamlines in a laminar fluid stream. The device is small, simple, and disposable yet is an integrated system complete with sample inlets, outlets, sorting channel, and a novel passively driven pumping system that provides a steady flow of liquid; it requires no external power source or controls. The device fulfills a need in clinical settings where small amounts of sperm need to be sorted. It also opens the way for convenient bioassays based on sperm motility including at-home motile sperm tests.  相似文献

Langmuir-Blodgett multilayers of hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon polymers with hydrophilic spacer, lipid-polyelectrolyte complexes and mesogenic polymers have been prepared. The thermal behaviour of the multilayers was studied by small angle X-ray scattering, IR and UV—visible spectroscopy. Good thermal stabilities were found for the various classes of polymers. In addition, for both complexed multilayers and mesogenic polymer films, reorientation processes were observed.  相似文献

To evaluate the utility of tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) as a cancer therapeutic, we created leucine zipper (LZ) forms of human (hu) and murine (mu) TRAIL to promote and stabilize the formation of trimers. Both were biologically active, inducing apoptosis of both human and murine target cells in vitro with similar specific activities. In contrast to the fulminant hepatotoxicity of LZ-huCD95L in vivo, administration of either LZ-huTRAIL or LZ-muTRAIL did not seem toxic to normal tissues of mice. Finally, repeated treatments with LZ-huTRAIL actively suppressed growth of the TRAIL-sensitive human mammary adenocarcinoma cell line MDA-231 in CB.17 (SCID) mice, and histologic examination of tumors from SCID mice treated with LZ-huTRAIL demonstrated clear areas of apoptotic necrosis within 9-12 hours of injection.  相似文献
