The design and the characteristics of a drift tracker for the SVD-2 setup at the U-70 accelerator of the Institute for High Energy Physics (Protvino, Russia) are described. The drift tracker has been developed to improve the quality of track reconstruction in high-multiplicity events. It is composed of 2304 drift tubes with a diameter of 6 mm and a sensitive region 500–900 mm long. The distance between a track and the anode wire is determined from the drift time. The coordinate resolution and the detection efficiency of the tubes have been determined from the data of the accelerator run in 2006.  相似文献

We have investigated the issue of water activation during turbulent movement of a liquid, this movement being characterized by disturbance of flow continuity (a cavitation mode). We have also studied the relationship between the stability of the metastable state of a liquid and introduced energy. Based on experimental data it was demonstrated that under action of effects of a hydrodynamic cavitation field hydroxylic radicals form in water. These radicals over time recombine with the formation of hydrogen peroxide or water molecules. Using a mathematical model we have proposed a mechanism for water activation and determined constants of the rate of chemical reactions.  相似文献

Nickel passivation in 1 M H2SO4 in the presence of hydroxyazomethine derivatives (C = const) and chloride anions in variable concentrations was studied. Plots of the Ni passivation current vs. showed symbatic and antibatic changes, depending on the chloride concentration range. Raman light scattering and Nd3+ luminescence are investigated in glasses based on rare-earth borates with a high content of the rare-earth oxide and subjected to annealing. It is established that, during annealing, structural relaxation brings about the formation of phases with a structure similar to the structure of rare-earth orthoborates and oxoborates. This leads to considerable changes in the characteristics of Nd3+ luminescence.  相似文献

An absorption isotherm equation similar in form to Langmuir’s equation was obtained for monomolecular adsorption of a dye on the inner surface of a fibre for the process of dissolution of a dye in amorphous regions of a fibre using the assumptions concerning formation of dye—macromolecule fragment solvates in the ratio of 1:1. Zeolites are a unique class of microporous aluminosilicates with multiple applications as molecular sieves, detergents, desiccants and acid catalysts. Their catalytic activity is determined by Br?nsted and Lewis acid sites created by protonation or activation by metallic cations. The reactivity of the acid sites is strongly influenced by the geometry and the flexibility of the zeolitic framework. Recent investigations of the reactivity of zeolites and simulations of catalytic reactions based on periodic-density-functional calculations are reviewed.  相似文献

Results of verification of two mathematical models presenting the creation of three pollutants at wood combustion in a low power pellet boiler are published in this article. The type of boiler used in the experiment was EKO-KARBON ÚSPOR-AUTOMAT with nominal power of 18 kW. Nitrogen oxides, carbon oxide, and total organic carbon were tested. The models elaborated on the basic theory of dimensional analysis. In the first model, the emissions produced in the wood combustion process were described under the condition that the combustion product temperature in boiler outlet is one relevant parameter in the mathematical model. Combustion air volume flow, combustion air temperature, combustion product temperature, boiler power, and wood calorific power are other parameters in the model. The second model describes the mutual coherence of the same pollutants, provided that flame temperature, instead of combustion product temperature, is incorporated into the model. The outputs obtained from both models are subjected to the same combustion conditions.  相似文献
