Experiments were conducted on rabbits immunized intraperitoneally with corpuscular typhoid vaccine; the number of antibody-forming cells in the spleen proved to increase after tha administration of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS)--pyropeneal, and endogenous serum pyrogen (EPS) together with theopylline. The data obtained indicated that the adenylcyclase system played a certain role in the mechanism of the stimulating action of LPS and EPS.  相似文献

A high-sensitivity vector two-dimensional (2-D) magnetic sensor system for low magnetic field measurements has been realized and tested. The system, made in PCB technology, consists of a double-axis Fluxgate magnetic sensor and the readout electronic circuitry, based on second-harmonic detection. The amorphous magnetic materials Vitrovac 6025X (25 /spl mu/m thick) and Vitrovac 6025Z (20 /spl mu/m thick) were used as the ferromagnetic core of the sensor. By applying a sinusoidal excitation current having a 450-mA peak at 10 kHz with Vitrovac 6025Z, the measured magnetic sensitivity was about 1.25 mV//spl mu/T. This value seems to be adequate for the Earth's magnetic field detection (/spl plusmn/60 /spl mu/T). The full-scale linearity error was about 1.5%. By using the thicker Vitrovac 6025X and a sinusoidal excitation current having a 600-mA peak at 10 kHz, a maximum sensitivity of approximately 1.68 mV//spl mu/T with a linearity error of about 1.55% full scale in the range of /spl plusmn/60 /spl mu/T were measured. Due to the use of commercially available ferromagnetic materials, the vector 2-D magnetic sensor system presented is characterized by a very simple fabrication process, thus allowing low-cost devices to be designed.  相似文献

Anode two-phase flow has an important influence on DMFC performance and methanol crossover. In order to elucidate two-phase flow influence on anode performance, in this work, anode polarization is investigated combining experimental and modelling approach. A systematic experimental analysis of operating conditions influence on anode polarization is presented. Hysteresis due to operating condition is observed; experimental results suggest that it arises from methanol accumulation and has to be considered in evaluating DMFC performances and measurements reproducibility. A model of DMFC anode polarization is presented and utilised as tool to investigate anode two-phase flow. The proposed analysis permits one to produce a confident interpretation of the main involved phenomena. In particular, it confirms that methanol electro-oxidation kinetics is weakly dependent on methanol concentration and that methanol transport in gas phase produces an important contribution in anode feeding. Moreover, it emphasises the possibility to optimise anode flow rate in order to improve DMFC performance and reduce methanol crossover.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: We characterized the population with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome with regard to genital prolapse, urinary incontinence, and other gynecologic disorders. METHODS: Forty-one adult women who had registered for a first-ever Ehlers-Danlos multidisciplinary clinic participated in the study. Each had a comprehensive standardized evaluation, including gynecologic history, physical examination, urodynamic testing, and physical therapy evaluation. Qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed to determine means for various gynecologic disorders of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. RESULTS: The frequencies of incontinence complaints (59%), endometriosis (27%), dyspareunia (57%), and previous hysterectomy (44%) were higher than expected for a population with a mean age of 41 years. Incontinence could not be demonstrated objectively. Prolapse was diagnosed in 12 (29.3%). CONCLUSIONS: Careful attention should be paid to women with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome because of an association with many gynecologic complaints. Women with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome should be questioned regarding incontinence, genital prolapse, endometriosis, and dyspareunia.  相似文献

Tumor cells may inhibit the induction of a complement-mediated inflammatory response through overexpression of membrane-bound regulators of complement activation. Therefore, it is of interest to determine the most efficient approach to block these membrane-bound complement regulators on tumor cells. In the present study, we first generated a bispecific mAb directed against both CD55, using the functional blocking mAb MBC1, and the highly expressed HLA class I molecule as a model for a tumor-associated Ag, using the mAb W6/32. Tumor cells opsonized with bispecific mAb W6/32*MBC1, then exposed to complement and subsequently stained for C3 deposition, were assessed by flow cytometric analysis. We found that opsonization with W6/32*MBC1 resulted in a 92% enhancement of C3 deposition on renal tumor cells as compared with opsonization with W6/32 alone and a 17% enhancement of the C3 deposition as compared with incubation with a mixture of both parental mAb. Based on these results, we developed a bispecific mAb recognizing both CD55 and the relatively low expressed renal tumor-associated Ag G250. Increasing concentrations of the bispecific mAb G250*MBC1 resulted in a 25 to 400% increase in C3 deposition on renal tumor cells as compared with C3 deposition in the presence of the parental mAb G250 alone. G250*MBC1 enhanced C3 deposition by 21% in comparison with a mixture of both parentals. Furthermore, opsonization of tumor cells with G250*MBC1 rendered these cells more sensitive to complement-mediated lysis. In conclusion, the bispecific mAb G250*MBC1 induces deposition of C3 and tumor cell lysis more efficiently than G250 alone.  相似文献
