This paper deals with the problem of designing a control law for differential linear repetitive processes based on minimizing a cost function in the presence of uncertainties in the process model. This control law results in a closed-loop stable process with an associated cost function which is bounded for all admissible uncertainties. Moreover, an optimization algorithm is developed to design this law such that it minimizes the upperbound of the closed-loop cost function.  相似文献

The goal of this study was to determine the expected normal range of variation in spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) of brain tissue in vivo, as a function of age. A previously validated precise and accurate inversion recovery method was used to map T1 transversely, at the level of the basal ganglia, in a study population of 115 healthy subjects (ages 4 to 72; 57 male and 58 female). Least-squares regression analysis shows that T1 varied as a function of age in pulvinar nucleus (R2 = 56%), anterior thalamus (R2 = 51%), caudate (R2 = 50%), frontal white matter (R2 = 47%), optic radiation (R2 = 39%), putamen (R2 = 36%), genu (R2 = 22%), occipital white matter (R2 = 20%) (all p < 0.0001), and cortical gray matter (R2 = 53%) (p < 0.001). There were no significant differences in T1 between men and women. T1 declines throughout adolescence and early adulthood, to achieve a minimum value in the fourth to sixth decade of life, then T1 begins to increase. Quantitative magnetic resonance imaging provides evidence that brain tissue continues to change throughout the lifespan among healthy subjects with no neurologic deficits. Age-related changes follow a strikingly different schedule in different brain tissues; white matter tracts tend to reach a minimum T1 value, and to increase again, sooner than do gray matter tracts. Such normative data may prove useful for the early detection of brain pathology in patients.  相似文献

Since ten years different laser systems have been used in arthroscopic procedures and percutaneous laser disc decompression. A potential mutagenic risk has not been excluded yet. From photobiology it is known that light in the UV-range is the main source of mutations. Therefore the aim of our study was to determine the mutagenic risk of laser systems at UV-wavelengths. The BALB/3T3 cell line was irradiated at the Excimer wavelengths 248 nm and 308 nm. Transformation rates were compared with non-irradiated cells and the effect of 1 Gy-Roentgen irradiation. Pulse energy, frequency and irradiation time were varied over a broad range. The effect of double irradiation was also examined. For 308 nm no significant transformation rate was found (p < 0.18). In contrast 248 nm showed a highly significant transformation rate (p < 10(-9). Transformation rate after Roentgen irradiation exceeded that of the negative control about two orders. While a certain mutagenic risk exists for 248 nm application of the wavelength 308 nm seems harmless. Our data therefore represent an essential contribution to long term laser safety both for the physician and his patient.  相似文献

The broad spectrum of activity of ciprofloxacin makes it an ideal drug for the prophylaxis of bacterial infections in patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy (HDC) with autologous stem cell rescue. We present two cases of ciprofloxacin-associated acute renal failure (ARF) in patients undergoing HDC. Maintaining a high index of suspicion for this complication will allow a prompt diagnosis, with discontinuation of the drug usually resulting in a reversal of renal failure. Renal biopsy usually reveals changes compatible with interstitial nephritis, but is not always possible in these patients due to severe thrombocytopenia following HDC. A brief course of steroid therapy may be beneficial although the role of glucocorticoids is difficult to ascertain in the absence of data regarding its efficiency in this clinical setting.  相似文献

We examined expression of the 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 [1,25-(OH)2 D3] receptors in chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla and the effects of 1,25(OH)2 D3 on expression of the tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) gene. Accumulation of 1,25(OH)2 D3 in the nuclei of adrenal medullary cells, but not in the adrenal cortex, was observed in mice intravenously injected with radioactively labeled hormone. 1,25(OH)2 D3 produced concentration-dependent increases in the TH mRNA levels in cultured bovine adrenal medullary cells (BAMC). The maximal increases (2-3-fold) occurred at 10(-8) M 1,25(OH)2 D3. Combined treatment with 1,25(OH)2 D3 and 20 microM nicotine had no additive effect on TH mRNA levels suggesting that transsynaptic (nicotinic) and vitamin D (hormonal) stimulation of TH gene expression are mediated through converging mechanisms. Induction of TH mRNA by 1,25(OH)2 D3 was not affected by calcium antagonist TMB-8. By increasing expression of the rate limiting enzyme in the catecholamine biosynthetic pathway, 1,25-(OH)2 D3 may participate in the regulation of catecholamine production in adrenal chromaffin cells. This regulation provides mechanisms through which 1,25(OH)2 D3 may control response and adaptation to stress.  相似文献

In the present study is is reported that the methanolic Hypericum extract LI 160 (Jarsin 300) exerts no protective effect against N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA-) or gp120- (from the HIV virus) induced cytotoxicity. Moreover, it is established that Hypericum extract causes no activation of arachidonic acid release from neurons activated by gp120; hence it displays no sensitization effect on the NMDA receptor channel. The main outcome of this study is the finding that Hypericum extract causes a 50% inhibition (IC50 value) of serotonin uptake by rat synaptosomes at a concentration of 6.2 microglml. Therefore it is concluded that the antidepressant activity of Hypericum extract is due to an inhibition of serotonin uptake by postsynaptic receptors. Future studies might focus on the effect of Hypericum extract on serotonin binding to neurons, serotonin storage in granules, the rate of synthesis of serotonin, and on the activity of monoamine oxidase.  相似文献

The Zymark RapidTrace automated solid-phase extraction system has been evaluated for use in the urine drug-testing laboratory. Methods for cocaine metabolite (benzoylecgonine) and opiates (codeine and morphine) are described and evaluated. The linearity, precision, accuracy, recovery, and carryover statistics of these analytical protocols are presented. The advantages of extraction using the RapidTrace instead of solid-phase extraction with the manual vacuum manifold or liquid-liquid extraction methods are described.  相似文献
